    I was in although it was very late here in Germany. In our time it started 11.30 pm and ended 0.50 am. Since I have to get up at 6.00 am for work it was a short night. But it was worth every minute. I enjoyed it so much!!!!

     

    Unfortunately my questions were not taken - almost not taken. 2 of my questions were asked by other people too. And their names got mentioned and not mine.

     

    I am not familiar with chats, this chat was my first. But I had the feeling that there must have been several chatrooms all participating in the chat. Because ofter questions were asked by people who were not in the same room as I.

     

    Has anyone experience with this kind of chat and can explain how it works?

    I know, I know..What is a Starfleet Officer without a Communicator!.But as I look around me it seems that I am the only one without a Cell Phone.However if I could find one that looked like a TOS Communicator I might buy one.. :assimilated:

     

    Now, on to my poll..Truthfully they do aggravate me but I've gotten used to them. I just think that they should be banned from cars..That must be distracting driving and talking on the phone at the same time..I see it everyday..

    The same with me. My husband has one. It's his toy. But he don't uses it too much. 90 % of the time it is off. Sometimes I use it too, but seldom.

     

    But I'd love to have one which looks like Star Trek - just to have it!!!!

     

    I think it's an useful device especially in emergencies. What really aggravates me is seeing people talking + driving. I see it every day, although its forbidden in Germany, as Mrs. Picard already told. There is so much traffic in our cities + high speed on the motor ways. I think it's too dangerous, the drivers are much too distracted.

     

    When I call our field engineers on their mobiles I always ask them: Are you able to speak, are you driving at present.

    Two weeks ago I faxed and snail mailed, last week I sent by mail + today I will fax the follwing letter:

     

    "Enterprise must go on

     

    Dear Mr/Mrs xxxx,

     

    I have read in the internet that ratings of Enterprise in the US aren't excellent. But since there are so many Star Trek fans all over the world, like me and all of my friends here in Gemany, who are madly looking forward to seeing Enterprise season 3 - and hopefully much more coming seasons - I kindly ask you to use your influence to archieve that Enterprise will go on.

    The TNG one mentioned earlier as well as one or two of William Shatner's novels took place in the mirror universe.

    Wasn't the the episode when Tasha Yar returned and saved the Enterprise in our universe?

    We did see it again in DS9 and that was good, so i agree with Indy that if TOS had lasted longer we would have seen more. I've seem a lot of fan fic about this subject too. I have wondered if Spock would do as our Kirk suggested and tried to change his world.

    Yeah, I would have liked to see more of it. That could have been very interesting
