This may be a stupid question, but what is Phase II?

The death of the Borg queen

I think they still had news bulletins, but as far as television for entertainment why did they need it. They had holodecks.
-
Also, Starfleet academy was a lot like a college. It took 4 yrs to graduate.

I would have to vote for............MMMMMMMMMM let me see?
<<<<<<<<<<What do you think? :o

I would have to say that RAND has it hands down.

I would have to say Seven. Mainly because she has had a hard life and has come through okay. I mean think about it, she was taken from her human life as a child and forced to become a drone, and to live as a Borg. Then she was stripped from the collective and had to learn to live as a human. Imagine having your complete world changed twice in your life time, and unfortunately neither time was really by your choice.

I would love to see a VOY or DS9 movie, but I agree the next movie will most likely be a mixed cast. But I really hope that it answers some of the questions left in the air from VOY end.

Yes, this is true, except in cases like voyager. But it does make you wonder how long a new captain has to study just to get up to date on all the information.

Okay, I just read this entire board in one sitting. I think my head is going to explode. I always thought of myself as really intelligent, until now. I feel really stupid, I did not follow most, oh forget it, any of that.
LMAO

I think that holodeck technology will eventually become possible. I also think it could have a possible impact on society. Imagine people having somewhere that they could go to live their dream life for a little while. And not to mention, to let off frustration and anger that they hold within, without taking it out on living people.

I definitely agree that Star Trek has more tech than Star Wars. One of the reasons that I have always preferred Star Trek to Star Wars (don't get me wrong I love them both) is that Star Trek explained why things worked and did not rely on you believing that they worked, because they told you they did.

I was referring more to situations where Captain had been killed before the Omega warning was received. Maybe there is a book in the Captains ready room that says "Read me when the Captain bites the big one"

I voted for Betazoid. There is just something about a culture that must be honest with each other because others can read your mind and it does not good to lie. Even though I would not want one for a neighbor. Well, unless it was Troi.

Sounds great, unfortunately I don't have cable. So if you get that on disk, definitely let me know........

It is great to see that the Brave men and women on the carrier Enterprise are as supportive of the Star Trek franchise as the cast has always been of them...........

I just watched the episode in which the Omega Particle is detected, and the computer starts the alarm to notify the Captain. It is later explained that only Captains and above have any knowledge of the Omega Particle or the Omega Directive which demands its destruction at any cost. What makes me curious is, if only Captains and above know about it. What would happen if a Captain were killed in action and the First officer were to take command, and during this time the Omega particle were detected. How would he/she know what the Alarm was even for let alone what they were supposed to do. Seems to me that the First Officers at least, and maybe the security chief should have information on such matters.
I know that this is a crazy topic, but I just wanted to see what you all thought on the subject. Feel free to be as supportive, creative or brutal as you want.

Yes, they made a lot of mistakes in the timeline, but nothing major. What bothered me was how alot of the episodes talking about the "Temporal Prime Directive" and its supreme importance, but yet they never seemed to have a problem violating the directive if it meant a new piece of technology. I just had a problem with the "Everyone has to follow the rules, unless it will benefit us." way that the crew handled the situation.

I always thought she had the world's most annoying voice. And for a battle seasoned man like O'Brien having a wife that could always seem to tell him what to do just did not seem right.

Don't want to give away too much. But just remember you had to love the mine field idea.
Also, I had a friend who compared the Dominions way of ensuring loyalty to that of Hitler. You know the whole, join us or die, mentality.

I voted for Troi. She was always a great character. And well, as embarrassing as it is to admit. I watched the series when I was middle school and Troi was the first celeb that I had a crush on.

I am not sure as to the answer to these questions. But I would love to find out.

I think that homosexuality could have a place on Star Trek, but it should be subtle. I remember having this conversation with my brother (who was gay) before he passed away. I remember him saying that it would be interesting, but that it would cost the show a lot of viewer and that it would not be worth it. He believed that straight viewers would loose interest because of the controversy that is prevelant in our society. He also believed that some members of the gay community would believe that Star Trek was simply trying to cash in on their way of life, and could possibly loose interest.
Myself, I have not problem with it. But unfortunately I agree that the Star Trek franchise could suffer damage due to small minded people who cannot understand that there is room for all of us in this world both now and in the future. But if they do it, again it should be subtle.

Gene Roddenberry was a true visionary. I may sound crazy, but I truly hope that humanity can eventually achieve at least a small part of his dream.

Okay call me crazy, but I like Archer's Enterprise. It has character. (not saying the others don't)
