I loved the episode and it is one of the few that I have taped that have survived. I have always loved going back to watch it just to remind myself how the series started.
-
I first realized that I was a Trekker when I would look forward to watching the episodes so that I could discuss them with my older brother.
I realized that I was a Trekkie when I was out with my ex-fiancee and another couple that I knew from work and the other female and I recited the entire script of Generations then started on The wrath of Khan before my x and her boyfriend stopped us because they were bored out of there mind. Thinking of that I should really call that chick now that I am single and see what she is doing.

Love the new avatar!Thank You.
I was looking at yours and it made me wonder if Captain Archer is standing in the Tardis!!
What is Tardis?
-
I don't know that they are friends, but I think that they have a mutual respect for each other to a point. Picard has to admit that whether he likes it or not, Q has helped him.

Here is a scary thought. Walt Disney was frozen. Imagine his fortune if he is ever revived.
-
What would I do with the power of Q? That is really hard. I would never want for anything and neither would my friends or family. But as for making myself rich, Why? With the power of Q you could have anything you wanted why would you need money?
I would love to go back in time to see, without being seen, my mother, as I never really got to know her before she passed away.
Oh, and definitely infinite amounts of Reese's cups.

Okay, here goes. This comes from "The Worlds of the Federation"
Delta is the fifth of eight planets orbiting Delta Triciatu, a white dwarf star. The planet has two moons, Seyann and Cinera, both of which support large underground cities with Federation port facilities.
Delta is a beautiful, green world with vast forests covering much of the planet's surface. Environmental conservation of the abundant flora has long been of primary concern to the native population. It is interesting to not that Delta has the lowest animal species extinction rate in the Federation, a result of the Deltans' artistic blending of technology and nature.
The Deltan people are humanoid, varying only slighly from the Terran norm. They are hairless, except for eyebrows and eyelashess. Deltans are perhaps best known for their intense sexual attractiveness. Both sexes emit some of the most potent pheromones known to Federation science. These natural aphrodisiacs affect all humanoid races but are most effective with other Deltans. For this reason, Deltans must swear an oath of celibacy before serving at any facility that employs other humanoid races. Chemical applications developed by the Deltans are capable of diminishing the pheromonal effect, and such treatments have been made mandatory within confined spaces, such as a starship.
Deltans are also naturally empathic, allowing them to deliver medical aid by absorbing and minimizing pain in humanoid life forms. They make excellent doctors and nurses and can provide a form of "mind-meld anesthesia" during emergency surgical procedures. Like Vulcans, Deltans are tolerated telepaths and can easily sense the emotions of others.
Hope this answers some of your questions.

I voted No, because the captain is one of the ship's most valuable resources. It would cause a lot of damage to the ship if the captain were lost. You don't see Generals in the trenches in our time do you?

My favorite would have to be Mirror Mirror. I loved the concept that it introduced about an alternate universe. Kind of makes you think about how dramatically life could be different if a few decisions had went the other way.

I think that Shatner is getting upset because he does not get the attention from the fans that he once did.

or a leather clad Troy! :devil:My dreams would have come true!!!!!!!!!!!!

I chose Spock. I would love to be able to make decisions without emotion clouding my judgement.

I think the relations will get better. I am not so sure that the vulcans WANT Enterprise to fail as they are convinced that they will. Don't get me wrong, I am not a big fan of the vulcans in the ENT era, but I can kind of see there point of view. I mean if we saw neanderthol man lauching an aircraft carrier wouldn't we expect them to fail? I think that this is how the Vulcans see humanity at this point.

Okay, apparently I missed alot by not seeing the final season. I give I am going to have to get caught up on them this weekend.
-
I am all for a DS9 movie. Even though I missed alot of the last couple seasons (an issue I a working to correct). I think it would be great.
-
I think that this project would only benefit the city. As was stated earlier, it would bring new revenue to El Paso, and how can that be bad for a city?

Love the new avatar!

Yes, it was Daniels, sorry. Watched Stargate SG-1 last night and was thinking of Simmons from there for some reason.
-
I agree. Voyager and DS9 had alot of potential that they did not end up meeting. I think that alot of the problem was that fans were used to Star Trek being a certain way, and those two seasons kind of broke the mold.

I think that it had to do with his age and the amount of time that he had spent in Starfleet. But also maybe the Captain was holding off on the promotion in hopes of the crew returning home where he could receive the promotion from Starfleet, which would mean more to Harry.

I still have hope, There have been many quotes from actors in Trek in the past that were similar or more harsh that did not turn out to be reality. Just look at Spock.
