  1. I like Wesley. He wasn't my favorite character, but aside from season 1 I enjoyed his character. The older he got, the more interesting and less annoying he was. I would have liked to have seen him in some DS9 or Voyager episodes... but alas, that did not happen.

  2. UPN is not good for Enterprise. Another problem affecting ratings that TNG and even Voyager did not have to contend with is this ridicolous influx of reality television. Enterprise was airing at the same time as American Idol and think about the ratings it gets. I'm not saying everyone that watched American Idol would have been watching ENT instead, but I guarantee you that ENT would probably go up a whole point if that crap wasn't on at the same time.

  3. I can't say that I was ever a big fan of the Proton shows, dunno why..Same can be said for Data and La Forge and the Sherlocke Homes stories. I guess I just always wanted space adventures..which is why I watched Trek.

I didn't like the Sherlock Holmes episodes either, I don't know why so many people liked Elementary Dear Data so much.

  4. I remember right after Nem came out, People were saying that Brent Spiner looked fat and I kept thinking ~ either they need new glasses, or they are thinking of Jonathan Frakes ~ Soory, Jon got fat, Brent is still a GOD!

    and Data rocks!

Now Nemoy....he looks OLD, but then he is!

I'm not saying Brent is out of shape but I guarantee you he has put on some weight since season 1 and 2.

  5. I hope that he goes to more places than startrek.com since everyone their seems to hate him.

~crims~ I pray to GOD that he is not over there. I have never seen so much Hate come across as it does on that board. The reason is because he shut down his own board. So they think that would be the next place for him to go and watch to see what is being said. The sad part of it is that's where they all went. :)

I am just glad that VBG does not allow that filth here. :)

I don't understand what's wrong with those people. They're supposedly fans of the show yet they have absolustely nothing positive to say or contribute.

  6. I keep thinking of Picard in Tapestry when he was the Lt. - the dreary man with the dreary job is how I think he described it.

Yeah, I think in star fleet the idea is that you have to put in a lot of hours and hard work before you get the really good positions.

  7. As for the transporter room, I think they do regular maintnence and tests. There were many times where they showed O'Brien doing some kind of work in there. Sure, it's not the most exciting thing but I'm sure their shifts there don't last long. On the bright side, when you're off duty you can do pretty much whatever the hell you want on the holodeck.

  8. I loved this episode!  10/10

The damage to Earth was a lot less than I thought it would be.  Still, that was one major attack!  Imagine if they send a full blown Warship!  I also found it currious that Future Guy wants to help stop the Xindi...  even if it means helping the humans.  Hmm...  Seeing those 3 little Starfleet ships go after Durras's ship was excellent.  Man oh man, Trip lost his sister!  I have 2 sisters, so I know just how he feels.  I didn't think about it, but you're right!  The battle at the end was like the one from ST-II:TWOK.  Also, the show is showing great continuity and story arcs.  Excellent episode.

Here's a question: Did it say "To Be Continued..." at the end?  I believe I read this was more of a "new direction" episode than it was a cliffhanger.

It did not say to be continued but a lot of the arcs in Deep Space didn't either, even though they were obvious continuations.

Well, I only consider an episode to be a cliffhander if it says "To Be Continued..." or if it's part 1 of 2. :martok:

I can see your point, but if the next episode continues from where The Expanse left off, then I consider myself cliff hanged

What a fast-paced, exciting episode! The photon torpedo's owned, the battle scenes were great, they were pretty much movie quality as far as entertaintment value goes. I liked Trip's anger and T'Pol's decision in regards to obeying or disobeying the high command. The special effecs were solid. Also, the last minute rescue by the Star Fleet ships in the initial Klingon attack was just plain fun to watch. This is probably the most exciting cliff-hanger since Descent (I didn't watch DS9 in it's first run so those cliff-hangers don't count). Now for 4 months of waiting...
