Um... I liked Star Trek V The Final Frontier. Oh, that wasn't God. Just a nasty alien who pretended to be! :P If it "was" God, he wouldn't be trapped on the planet! :blink:

Anywho, I liked the movie a lot. We discover Spock's half brother, Sybok, he brain washes the crew, brain washed Uhura flirts with Scotty, Scotty jail breaks the heroes, bad special effects like on the show, big journey to find God, instead, they find one ticked off alien that shoots lighting bolts!

Not the best of the Trek movies, but I liked it!

Hmm... Yes, he was an excellent character! Never saw the one where he was "enhanced" via alien technology or whatever. Thank goodness for season sets! :blink:

He had a cameo in ST:FC in case ya missed it! :P

OK, someone on this forum (dunno where) had said that a spin-off series is a tv show that stars a character who was a regular or recurring character from a previous tv show.

If this is the case, then TNG, DS9, VOY, & ENT aren't spin-off series. So, what are they called? Sequal-series?

Should Star Trek end?

I say no! Sure, I might eventually come to a point and say "this is the last Trek show I'll watch" and enjoy the existing shows up to that point... but, I say Star Trek should go on for future generations!

I agree, homosexuals should not be discriminated against.

I don't think they need any more representation, then said, mussicians do. Homosexuallity is a life style, not a race.

I also agree that homosexuallity is a genetic flaw, like being born without feet. However, as human beings, we have learned to bypass genetic flaws.

I have 2 reasons for believing that the Star Trek Utopia will never happen.

1. Humanity is on the verge of self destruction.

2. It's my opinion that Revelations from the bible might very well happen this century, or at least before we become a space faring civilizartion.

I have heard no mention of acceptance and a lot of criticism and i see that we have a long way to go before we create the tolerant society of the Star Trek Universe.

To be quite honest, I do not believe this will ever happen.

3. All new cast and crew

4. Starfleet Academy

5. Star Trek - Relativity - this could be really cool

6. Star Trek - Excelsior - Captain Sulu - while he can still do one

8. Star Trek - New Frontiers - Based of the characters in Peter Davids books

9.Hertzler's Left Hand Of Destiny - Only book one has come out so far but this is one of the most epic and best ST books in years!

3. To me, the whole point of a Trek movie, is to continue the adventures of the tv show. A new cast... well, that'd be like doing an X-Files movie without Mulder & Scully!

I'd love to see a mixed cast movie involving TNG, DS9, & VOY characters. Not the complete cast from those 3 shows as that'd be way too many people, but rather 3 or 4 characters from each of those shows with other characters playing small roles and others making cameos. It'd also be cool to start the movie with a 10 min flashback scene to ENT!

They have 2 inspection pods, and 2 shuttle pods.

I've got 2 questions:

1. Does the NX-01 carry escape pods?

2. What happens if one or both shuttlepods get destroyed? Didn't they loose one of them in "Cease Fire?"

Oh, here's another. If you have Star Trek Insurrection on DVD, skip to the part with Picard & Worf in the shuttle chasing after Data in the scout ship. If you look closely, you can tell the shuttle cockpit is a redress of DS9's runabout cockpit! You can tell by the 4 chairs, the transporter at the back... if you look closely, you can see the 2 "doors" on either side of the cockpit, yet on the outside of the shuttle, there's no hatches there. Pretty cool, huh?

Oh, and several Voyager sets made it into this movie too!

Did you know that the Borg Queen alcove used on Star Trek Voyager was reused as the prison chamber that held Picard in the medical labratory aboard the Schimitar in Star Trek Nemesis?

OK, let's just assume you're right for argument's sake and that humans and animals can be born gay. If this is the case, then I see it as a genetic flaw. Animals may not be able to overcome such a feat, but humans can. If we can replace lims with artificial devices, attempt to clone, bypass psychological problems, then I believe we can overcome genetic flaws as well.

Now, don't get me wrong. I'm not a gay hater. In fact, I refuse to hate any form of life, no matter how evil it can act, not even Suddam Hussien could I hate.

With that said, since I'm a Christian, let me give a simplified point of view, OK?

It's not about being "held back", but as a Christian, God has rules, commandments, and so forth that he expects us to follow. He doesn't make these rules to control us, but rather so that we can prosper. Like not having sex before marriage for example. By doing so, when you finally "do" have sex with your spouse, and only that person, the rewards are far greater, the bond closer, and so forth. So, if he doesn't wish for humans to be homosexual, beyond not being able to reproduce, I don't quite understand it, but if God wishes it, then I agree with it. I never question God. I may question something that happens, but never God himself.

Anyway, I have 3 reasons for being against homosexuallity:

1. It's not natural.

2. You can't reproduce.

3. It's against God's wishes. (and it's a sin)

So, in conclussion, it is the act of homosexuallity, not the man that I hate. Infact, one of my best internet friends is gay. He knows I'm against homosexuallity, yet he is still a best friend.

Anywho, I had to go do something, and then came back while typing this, so I kinda lost my train of thought.
