  1. So far, we've had:

    Kirk VS Kruge

    Picard & Kirk VS Soran

Picard & Data VS Borg Queen

    Picard VS Ru'afo

Which do you think was the best fight scene? I have to go with Picard VS Shinzon!

  3. Here's how I've allways seen it:

    Trekkie - Casual fan

    Trekker - Extreme fan

If that's the case, I call myself a Trekkie.

Basically, one's an extreme fan, the other is casual. Only no one knows which is which!

  4. They didn't beam through the shields. They Enterprise-D flew straight at the Janolen, Scotty & Geordi droped the shields, the Enterprise-D beamed them aboard while firring a volley of torpedoes, the ship exploded as Geordi & Scotty materrialised on the Enterprise, then the ship pulled an evasive maneuver so as to not be destroyed by the closing door.

  5. K'Trek, where do you find all these crazy emoticons?

Anywho, I dissagree about the "big star" idea. I think it would make the whole movie very cheesy if we had, say Tom Cruise, playing the lead. Know what I mean? One of the thing I like about Trek is that we've allways had "new actors" playing characters. Unless it's the villian, then you need a mega-actor! Something to challenge the hero! ;)

  6. Star Trek is set in a new timeline whenever there's a time travel episode/movie. Only thing is, the timeline is allways intact.

I don't believe that Insurrection or Nemesis are in a timeline that's differed enough to be "different" from what we've seen happen in the past. I think the damage to the timeline was very minimal.

  7. I'll be annoyed if they try and do 2 action movies in a row. The next Trek movie should be a mystery type story like in the first movie and revolve arround Sisko's return. That or we should have a war movie about an invasion by Species 8472.

  8. Ultimate lurker, it was 2355 or 56, not "22"! That'd be set before TOS!

Anyway, the Borg were "known", it's just that the Federation knew nothing about them, other than the fact they existed. So, this is reasonable as to why the Enterprise didn't have any information on them.

As for in "ENT"? They're suppose to be survivors of the sphere explossion in ST:FC. They assimilate the scientists and steal their ship, then head for open space. However, the Enterprise must stop them. I'd be nice to see the birth of Section 31 as a result. Anyone agree?

Also, who thinks the first death should be a crew member who gets assimilated?

  9. It might also be that the 'pocket of space' idea that was explored in another thread about monsters might be right and there are 2 breeds of klingon and the smooth ones inhabit that pocket that TOS was travelling through... hmmm i think too much i fear!

    live long and prosper.

2 breeds of Klingon? Nope! We saw some TOS Klingons with the "new" look in DS9! So, there goes that theory! ;)

Shouldn't a big question be: How did they go from smooth to bumpy'n cool in the 2 1/2 years between TOS & ST:TMP (timeline wise)?

I just let it go at TOS having a low budget. Besides, by the time they need to explain it, I'm sure they'll come up with something spiffy!

  10. Oh, and just to add... I think that if they were going to do a movie, Voyager would have been left in the Delta Quadrant or just started to enter the Beta Quadrant, then getting home in the movies. Since the show wasn't successful enough, they got home in the finale.

Oh, and to those who didn't get to see Nemesis...

    Click for Spoiler:

Admiral Janeway has a cameo and orders Picard to Romulous! You only see her on Picard's little view screen, but still! She bossed Picard arround!
