Kor37 9 Posted January 3, 2006 Pretty slow day today. Caught up on some work in the morning then pretty much lazed around the rest of the day. I watched an Alice Cooper dvd I got for Christmas. It was pretty great. For lunch and dinner I ate leftover New Year's party food. After that stuff is all gone, I have GOT to get back to the gym and the karate studio. I've been away too long. Kor37 9 Posted January 5, 2006 Its been quiet the last few days. Tuesday was my son's 19th birthday. Boy, does THAT make me feel old.....(let me insert a preemptive "Shaddap Dragonwrangler" here at this point).... He got some clothes and the new James Bond "From Russia With Love" game. Yesterday, I took him to see the new King Kong movie. Its a pretty good movie although not one I would see multiple times at the theater. I sent off a check today to MrPsychic for doing some research work for me. Today and tomorrow are my busy days at work. Has anyone noticed how much the posts have gone down on this site? I've got my own theories but I wonder what everyone else thinks? Well, thats about it til next time.

Kor37 9 Posted January 10, 2006 Not much going on today...... - I worked on my son's computer trying to get all of the spyware and virus' out of it. - Went to Office Depot to buy a new printer since the last one died. - The technician from Comcast came over to figure out why my PPV channel doesn't work. The problem was in the lines outside. - Worked on my end of year tax stuff.
MrPsychic 1 Posted January 18, 2006 I did the Cartridge World stakeout today. It was slow during the first hour from 10:00-11:00 with only 1 person, but then it picked up. It must be the advertising, and how it's having sales due to a new store opening up in the area. 11:00-12:00 was 4 people and 12:00-1:00 was 7 people. The average person was in there for a very short time, meaning they must do the work quickly.
Kor37 9 Posted January 18, 2006 Thanks for that Psy! Now....what have I been up to the last few days?....Oh yeah... Last Saturday, my wife and I took our son out to dinner at Bennigans. I had Chicken Fajitas. Good stuff! On Sunday we went out to dinner again, this time with my parents. It was a goodbye dinner for our son who had to fly back to college on Monday. We went to The Corner Stable which is the best rib place in town. While eating ribs, we were watching the Indy/Steelers game. On Monday, my son flew back to the University of Maine cause classes started on Tuesday. On Tuesday, I had to go to traffic court. I got 2 tickets awhile ago. One was for not stopping for a school bus (which I never saw) and the other was for not wearing a seat belt. I got off on both of them and ended up paying a $50 fine and court costs. It couldn't have went better than that!... Today, I was back in court again. This time it was for one of my drivers. Some lady claimed that he backed up his van and ran into her. This was pure BS because he wasn't even in her area at the time. I testified to that fact and the judge threw the case out due to lack of evidence. .. This afternoon, I spent argueing over the terms of a new contract with one of my big clients. Thats about it. See ya all next time!
Lursa 0 Posted January 22, 2006 it looks like your day was one heck of a fight! Good luck to your son in college!

Kor37 9 Posted January 23, 2006 Its only 11:30 am and its already a crappy day. This morning, one of my drivers came in drunk, another came in,got his paycheck and then quit and another didn't show up at all. Butt-Kickings all around this morning!

Kor37 9 Posted January 24, 2006 Busy day today. I bought some territory from another company today so now I have to hire about 3 people to cover it. It appears that my car is finally prepped and ready to paint.. ..Hopefully, I'll have it back in a couple of weeks! BTW: Can one of the mods please downsize the pic of my son a bit. I tried but couldn't do it. I'd appreciate it!

Kor37 9 Posted January 25, 2006 Fairly busy day. This morning I did my payroll and printed out the paychecks for everybody. Then I took my pick-up truck and bought some storage containers for my warehouse. While at the warehouse, I conducted job interviews for about an hour. I'm already thinking about vacation this year. I'd love some input from all of you as to where to go! Thats it for now.
Kor37 9 Posted January 28, 2006 I REALLY hate Fridays!.....No TGIF for me. Its the busiest day of the week. I left for work at 2:30 am and I'm just getting home at 6:30 pm. To top it off, I had an appointment to get my taxes done today. I waited 2 hours only to find out that I owe $10,000 in taxes this year!!....I wonder if I can send that in pennies?..............You think they would get mad?......
MrPsychic 1 Posted January 28, 2006 I can see you writing a note for the IRS.... "Dear IRS, please take this jar of pennies, I'm sure there's 10,000 dollars worth of them in it." Then tape that label to a water jug of pennies. Anyway, here's my results for Cartridge World yesterday. 12-1 6 people 1-2 4 people 2-3 3 people
Kor37 9 Posted January 29, 2006 Fairly slow day today. My crew did a really good job today so no butt-kickings were required... I found out yesterday that my best friend's wife tripped at work and snapped her leg in 2!... She has to get a metal rod and screws inserted into her leg! My son called and was all upset that he was having a lot of trouble with calculus. I wish I was able to help him out but......... I went to my warehouse and interviewed 3 people for a job this afternoon. All 3 looked pretty good. After all that I was just a lazy bum today.... Til next time................................
Kor37 9 Posted February 1, 2006 Hectic day today. We had a gas leak at my warehouse this morning so I had to stay there from 4:00 am until 11:30 am til they fixed it........yuck. Did some interviews today. I've had some really good people come in lately! Started looking at some flight and hotel prices for summer vacation. Thats about it for today. til next time............... Kor37 9 Posted February 8, 2006 Update: - Can someone explain to me why a person that practically gets down on his knees and begs for a job doesn't show up on his first day??? I'll never get used to that! - Got our vacation plans just about figured out. It looks like we will fly to Tucson,AZ, rent a van and then drive to Tombstone. The next day we go to Tempe and stay the night at the Wyndam Buttes there. The next day we will drive to Lake Havasu for a few days. After that, we will stay 2 days at a dude ranch close by. Then we will drive to Williams,AZ and catch the steam locomotive train to the Grand Canyon and spend the night there. After the Grand Canyon, we will drive to Las Vegas (can't wait to catch the new Borg ride at The Experience!). After a few days in Vegas, our friends will fly home and we will fly to Oregon to visit my sister for a few days. - Think I jammed enough stuff in???.... - The car still isn't painted. Its disassembled and ready to be painted but the painter is waiting for an open spot in the paint booth......sigh. Thats about it for now!....Til next time. Odie 0 Posted February 8, 2006 I to will never understand why anyone who really wants a job won't show up for work. Even if I am late to work for a few minutes I will be in serious trouble. At least I better have a good reason.
Kor37 9 Posted February 14, 2006 What a miserable day I had yesterday! We got about 15 inches of snow overnight. I lucked out and only 2 of my drivers didn't come to work. The rest of us worked all night and most of the day in that mess. I got up at 1:00 am to go to work and didn't get home til 6:00 pm. We were doing deliveries until about 1:00 pm and then I was plowing snow the rest of the day. When I finally got home, I still had to do the payroll checks and the paperwork for today. We had some casualties along the way. 1 of my drivers got into an accident and went to the hospital. 2 others slid into parked cars. During the night, I also had to pull 5 of my drivers out of ditches with my pick-up truck after they slid on the ice. I really, REALLY hate winter..... Lursa 0 Posted February 20, 2006 I don't blame you on that one, I hate the winter too. It is the worse time to drive a car in the first place!
Kor37 9 Posted February 28, 2006 Wow. Its been a little while since I posted in here. Been really busy. Lets see......where to start. - I bought the rights to some more territory from another company. I'll be picking up about 3000 new customers. 2 of the drivers that are working that territory will come to work for me. The others I have no use for so I told the other company to keep them. - I've gotta get geared up for summer. Vacations start soon and I need to be able to cover them. One of my drivers told me she is looking for another job. I appreciate the heads up but I'm wondering if I should just let her go now and hire someone new. If she waits til the middle of summer, it will be a real pain. - I'm still interested in acquiring a Cartridge World franchise. I'm just waiting for someone who shall remain nameless.......*Coughs* Mr.Psychic *Coughs* to...er.....finish the survey job I hired him for..... - This Sunday I am going to a Bull & Oyster roast with about 12 of my friends. I can't wait. Its gonna be fun! - Still working on my own vacation plans. Its shaping up nicely. I'll post final details when everything is definite.
