Kor37 9 Posted June 20, 2007 Oh, you really should use the towel pic in the slide show. That will be a huge hit. A huge hit is what I'm afraid of and not the kind you're referring to...... Got back from my MRI a little while ago. Anybody here ever had one of those? I wouldn't reccomend them if you're claustrophobic. There is about 2 inches of space between you and the walls and about the same distance between your head and the roof of the thing. Anyway, I have to get the pics to the doctor so he can tell me whats going on. I had a hauling company out here this morning to take away the remains of my pool. I already have a new pool picked out. Just gotta make the arrangements to have it installed.
Angela 1 Posted June 20, 2007 I had one a few years back. I had the who blasting away and I fell asleep. Yes I am odd. I can and have fallen asleep in a hurricane.
Theunicornhunter 2 Posted June 20, 2007 If I ever have to have another one I am finding one of the "open air" type. I survived by keeping my eyes closed and counting but I had a relative that had to be pulled out and sedated.
Gummy 0 Posted June 21, 2007 I had a MRI last year. They put headphones on me with XM Satellite Radio on and I thoroughly enjoyed it. But, I was in the machine only up to my knee. It wasn't like I was a Photon Torpedo being loaded in for a launch.

Vulcan_lover 1 Posted June 21, 2007 Man Kor, sounds like you're finally getting old...first your foot and now your arm....jeez. I hope you start feeling better soon, and if not you've got a nice tv to watch all day.
MrPsychic 1 Posted June 21, 2007 I've had several MRI's before, to me, it's just annoying. Once, I had to have radioactive dye injected directly into my shoulder socket so they could tell where the muscle was torn for surgery. I could actually feel the needle hitting my shoulder bone and the warmness of the dye.

Kor37 9 Posted June 23, 2007 Man Kor, sounds like you're finally getting old...first your foot and now your arm....jeez. I hope you start feeling better soon, and if not you've got a nice tv to watch all day. There is still ONE part of me that is working perfectly, my dear....... Busy last few days. My new TV came in on Thursday but since the entertainment center isn't here yet, I haven't unpacked the TV yet. I'm all set for my wife's surprise birthday party tomorrow. I really hope she's really surprised. I've FINALLY finished with my car. Here are some pics: http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e213/walde/RR-6.jpg http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e213/walde/RR-2.jpg http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e213/walde/RR-7.jpg http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e213/walde/RR-3.jpg http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e213/walde/RR-4.jpg

Kor37 9 Posted June 24, 2007 Eric and I went to the car meet last night. It was a lot of fun. They had about 150 cars there! I had the only Road Runner. We're getting ready for my wife's big surprise party. I don't think she suspects a thing. She thinks she's going to my company crab feast..... In case you missed it, I posted pics of my FINALLY finished car above.
Gummy 0 Posted June 24, 2007 Wow, Kor! The car turned out fantastic!!! Oh, and Odie....The pills are what I call the FailSafe Device. And I equate them to Disney World. A One-hour wait for a two minute ride.

Kor37 9 Posted June 25, 2007 Yesterday went great! My wife was totalled surprised by her party. The place was packed with family and friends, the food was delicious and the DJ was great. Couldn't have come off any better. This week is tough because I have two people on vacation and I have to cover which means a week of no sleep. The swimming pool installation company came out to give me an estimate for putting in the new pool. One guy spoke english. He had three Mexicans with him who did not who he had to speak spanish to......
Odie 0 Posted June 25, 2007 What do you expect from cheap labor? He picked them most likely at Home Depot parking lot , but you got your pool installed.

jadziaezri 0 Posted June 26, 2007 so when is the pool warming party
Kor37 9 Posted July 1, 2007 so when is the pool warming party There will be a "clothing-optional" pool warming party this week. Feel free to drop by!.. Been pretty busy this past week: - We spent the whole day yesterday putting up our new entertainment center and installing the new plasma TV. The TV looks and works great! Now I have to hook up all the other stuff like dvd player, vcr, etc. - I'm going to the pool company to pick up the new pool today. Installation is scheduled for tomorrow. - With vacation season in full swing, I've been spending a lot of time filling in at work for vacationing drivers. I usually don't mind this but my arm is still killing me. - Tomorrow , I go back to the arm doctor. He's going to look at the MRI I had done to see what the problem is. He thinks I have a torn bicep muscle. I just wish this stuff wouldn't take so long! - The Road Runner is continuing to run great. I took it to a car meet last night. Lot of fun! - I still have to plan my company's annual crab-feast. I have it tentatively scheduled for 7/15 so I better get going on it.
Kor37 9 Posted July 2, 2007 Today will be fairly busy: - I have to go to the arm doctor this morning to see what can be done about my bad wing. - The pool installation company is coming out this afternoon to install the new pool! I'll be sure to have an English/Spanish dictionary on hand just in case...... - I got just about everything hooked up to the new TV now. All I have left to hook up is the Surround Sound system. - I haven't worn the stupid boot for the last few days. My heel is feeling ok. I guess if it starts to hurt again, I'll wear the boot again and start walking like Frankenstein again..........
Kor37 9 Posted July 2, 2007 I just came back from the doctor's office and the news wasn't good.......We interrupt this story for a brief rant.......Why is it that doctor's want to charge you $50 if you're late for an appointment yet when you actually come on time or early, they make you wait an hour to see you? My appointment was at 11:00 am and the doctor didn't see me til just past 12:00... ...end of rant..........anyway, I apparently have a torn rotator cuff. To fix it requires surgery and rehab. All in all, my arm would be out of commisssion for about 6-8 weeks. Since I own my own company, there is nobody for me to call but myself. I have one vacation after another coming up that I have to cover for. If I wait until the end of summer and continue to work through the pain, I may cause the rotator cuff to tear even worse. If I do it now, I have no vacation coverage. I don't know what to do!..... :P

Theunicornhunter 2 Posted July 3, 2007 I'm guessing you can do part of your job by phone from home - can you hire a temp for the other parts? I know some people have less than ideal experiences with temps but I've worked as a temp several times and I know there are ethical people working as temps - you just need to go to a reputable company. Kor37 9 Posted July 3, 2007 I've decided to wait until September to schedule the surgery. I'll just work with the pain until then. There is too much going on at the moment. Kor, what does the job entail? I can always drive down to help out. I appreciate the offer, Psy. But it would be ridiculous for you to drive 1 1/2 hours just to get here in the middle of the night, work for a few hours and then have to drive all the way home. Plus, you've got school. The pool installers came out yesterday. The plan was for them to have the pool done before my wife came home from work so it would be a big surprise for her. But it didn't work out that way. Apparently, one of the boxes of parts for the pool contained parts for the wrong pool. The box was labelled correctly but still had the wrong parts inside. They had to go back to the pool company to get the right part. This took them most of the day. So when my wife came home, all she saw was a bunch of parts laying around the yard. They actually didn't get really started until about 7:00 pm. They got most of the pool up but they need to come back and finish it up today. Today, I have to wait around for Comcast cable to come and deliver a Hi-Def cable box. I decided to bu a new Surround Sound system for the new TV rather than installing the old one. Its at least 10 years old and they have much better ones out now. It's just bunch of old men feeling their age. Hey now! My arm has nothing to do with age. I tripped on my basement steps and landed on my arm. Thats how this happened!...
