Jeanway

~~ Shipwrecked ~~

Recommended Posts

All hope for Voyager's return to the Alpha Quandrant has long since been exhausted. All their resourses depleted Janeway has to make a decision. Commit mass suicide or try to locate a planet they could land on. The Borg have left the Delta Quadrant and Voyager alone. But alas! Providence has intereveened Voyager has come across an M Class planet and decided to take their chances on it. It was a rough landing and some damage was sustained. They must try to salvage what they can from the ship and start building a new society. You can take the part of one of the existing crew or introduce a new character. This RPG is about 'BUILDING' NOT DESTRUCTION!!! There may or may not be inhabitants on this planet, since our sensors were all damaged during our rough landing, we don't know yet.

Please, introduce your character then begin. Again, this RPG is about

'BUILDING' not destruction.

I'll be Seven of Nine :picard-sith:

"Captain, our energy reserves for the ship are at 80% and falling quickly. I suggest that we build more generators for the future. I also have found something similar to strawberries. I'll get long range sensors online within the hour. I suggest that some crewmen take mobile encampment units like the one you used when you were infected with a mysterious virus. The area around and under the ship is suitable for camping purposes. I have used shuttle sensors to monitor alien movement within 7 km. I have not detected any. I suggest that three shuttles be sent out for reconassance.

Ha ha ha ha! You as 7 of 9, I love it!!!

I haven't decided who I am going to be yet, I'm tired of being the Captain all the time. :laugh: Making all the decisions and cleaning up all the messes around here. You guys are wearing me out. :picard-sith: { Just thinking out loud here, well, silently thinking out loud :huh: }

OK. I will decide right now. I want to um, I know what I want to do but what is it called? We won't be on a ship anymore. I need a male partner, like a mate. So there won't be a Captain. Maybe we need to set up some new form of command??HHMMM. A sort of government. Are we a Democracy?? Elected officials? help me WAB. Let me see if I can find the list of crewmen and their names, brb.

Slowly the inhabitance of the *M* class planet walks towards the thing that fell from the sky. Cautiously we touch the thing, tap on it. This thing isn't possible. Is it a metor? No, it has a definite shape and is smooth to the touch. Of course flying on our world is possible and yet this thing is not from here. It's not alive, it's metalic and when you tap on it in some areas it sounds hollow. Answers to questions not ever asked. This thing came here one night, like thunder it hit the ground but unlike thunder you can touch it's cold hard surface.

Someone was bound to call the authorities. If we hadn't been having a picnic in the desert and hadn't seen the thing *land*. As it landed not hit the ground like a metorite. It landed softly not boroughed into the ground and the thing was huge it would of cause massive damage had it hit hard. Even out here in the middle of no where. We're surrounded by desert and rocky cliffs. In other places where there are villages, cities, and towns this thing would of cause panic. Much like that strange broadcast on the radio that comes from no where it seems. Who was this H.G. Wells and why did he frighten us so. What is America? What was the name of the program that interrupted our music? The Night That Panicked America mmm, maybe. Now this thing and the authorities on their way. Was the radio broadcast a warning? From who? We're alone there isn't any other worlds but ours and our people.

(Okay people here's a clue about our little planet, think area 51 and this world is just beginning to get radio broadcast from 20th century Earth.)

Janeway, Chakotay, Tuvok, Kim, B'elanna, Paris, Seven, the EMH and Neelix. They all vote on decisions of the ship. Each one will have specialization.

Janeway-science and Starfleet protocool

Chakotay-Morale, Mysticism

Tuvok-security and defense

Kim-Ships systems, engineering and technology

B' Elanna- engineering, maintenance, technology

I am Naomi Wildman. I am now 25 years old and I have a mate/boyfriend. I don't know his name yet, he hasn't decided :picard-sith: Captain Janeway has told me to take a shuttle and survey the surface out 100 kilometers in every direction. Since I am her assistant, I do whatever she tells me to do. I also may act in her stead in her absence. Captain Janeway has been tutoring me in all the courses I would have taken at StarFleet Acadamy and I am a full fledged Lieutenant now. I have a special designate or post. The first ever Captain's Assistant. Since was born on Voyager, I have been in training for this post all my life. So I am known as a C.A.

My full title is ' Lieutenant C.A. Naomi Wildman'.

I am also a CrackerJack pilot. Uncle Tom { Paris }, my God-Father taught me.

" Captain? I have no visuals as yet but my sensors tell me that about 50 kilometers West of the 100 mile perimeter there appear to be life forms approximately 1800 to 2000, perhaps a small settlement or colony of some kind, should I procede? Yes, Captain, I understand. The Image Scanner? Let me look. Yes, it's fully operational. And the Day Star Projections also operational Captain. Yes, Wildman Out.

Naomi turns on the Day Star, a series of cameras that project the sky above the shuttle onto the underside of the shuttle making it appear to those on the ground like the sky above it. She makes a low pass over the area and takes a series of images, she then turns and makes a second pass to the rest of the area. to complete the grid. She now heads back to Voyager.

Slowly, I walk again up to the object from the sky. I pick up a small rock and I tap lightly on the surface of the thing until I find a place that sounds hollow. Then I begin to tap on the area. Before the strange broadcast from no where the sound of tapping came. I hit the strange thing that came in the night to our desert pinic.

Dit dit dit dit, dit, dit dah dit dit, dit dah dit dit, dah dah dah. (Morse Code my dears for the word *Hello*) Nothing returns from the thing so in effort to see what this thing is I tap again this time with more urgency... Dit dit dit, dah dah dah, dit dit dit. (S.O.S.) I repeat over and over again on this strange looking thing.

As Lt. Wildman approaches Voyager, she can see a person, not sure if it is human or not, standing very close to the hull. She makes a closer inspection by flying right over the ship then turning about and snapping an image. Naomi hovers just outside the shuttlebay hatch. "Wildman here, Open Pod Bay Door Hal :picard-sith: OOPS, I mean Computer." She says. The door opens and she lands inside, the door closes.

Naomi rushes to the lab. Removes the cartridge from the imager and places it in the developer. In an instant, the images begin to scroll on the screen in front of her. She taps her com-badge. "Captain, you need to come to imaging right away, there is something you need to see." The Captain answers. "I'll be right there Naomi." A minute passes and The Captain comes through the door. "Look at this Captain." She says. They both stand in front of the screen and examine the images. ::fade to black::

Upon closer scrutiny and examination the images Naomi returned with told them quite a bit about the inhabitants and the stage of development their culture was in.

The images of the colony appeared to be more of an ant colony than anything else they could compare it to on Earth. A large, mound-like, central structure, appeared to be constucted in the center. Tubes or tunnels spoked from it much like a wheel. All along the spokes, smaller mounds similar to the central structure were seen on either side of each spoke. The Captain deduced that because of the desert-like conditions, they were living in a manner of speaking, underground. Yet between the spokes were huge areas where actual, what appeared to be glass buildings. Similar to domes, but also in other shapes or configurations. These also were connected to the spokes by tunnels. Huge towers flanked the entire compound with large pole-like protrusions that appeared to be indifferent stages of moving up and down, or so it appeared from the images. Much like and oil derek or pump. Large circular tanks surrounded these structures also in the wheel/spoke fashion. The Captain and Naomi both agreed this must be their water supply.

" B'lanna, you just keep digging around in there. We need to salvage as much of the ship for make-shift housing as we can. And where's Tom? You know we are going to have to start digging a well for water. Our reserves are running low."

Grasping B'Elanna's arm gently, Tom Paris speaks: " I'm right here, B'Elanna. I've been taking some tricorder readings, and there does seem to be water present . The readings indicate that it is 100 or so meters below the surface. I'm going to try to find the drilling equipment, or try to jerry-rig something together." Tom turns around, and begins to walk back towards the wreck of the vessel. He suddenly stops, and spins around. "B'Elanna!" he shouts. B'Elanna lowers her shovel, and raises her head towards Tom. "We'll be ok! Don't worry!" He smiles .

She smiles back.
