Delta 0 Posted September 30, 2004 Thanks Debbie *huggles* for you and Hang. :P Delta's log star date 30/09/04 Last night my brother in laws mum died, she had been in hospital for a few weeks but it was still unexpected because she was much better and waiting to come home. We will all miss her terribly, we are a very close extended family and used to all spend Christmas and New Year together, it was a terrible shock that just in one day she became so ill and then went. I can't think about her husband or my brother in law or niece without crying. I can't believe that Laura will have to grow up without one of her beloved Grandma's, it is so sad. Delta 0 Posted October 4, 2004 Thanks RC, Hang, Odie, Airies and Debbie *MASSIVE HUGS* for all of you for your kindness. Delta's log star date 04/10/04 I thought I would pop in and update my log. It's still really sad around here, the funeral is next Monday and i'm going to hire a wheel chair so that I can go. My mum is going to the florist today to arrange some flowers to be sent. On a more cheerful note my Laptop arrived last Thursday, the man came from the company to install it on Saturday, when he opened the box we realised that the power cable was missing, so I still can't use it. Delta 0 Posted October 6, 2004 Delta's log star date 06/10/04 I'm really unhappy today, yesterday I borrowed a wheel chair to try so that I can go to the funeral. My mum pushed me around the block it's not far but because of the position of the foot plates it was agony on my back and legs. When we got back to the house I could hardly stand to get out of the chair, I had only been in it for about 10 minutes to be able to go to the funeral I would need to be in it for most of the day. I am not going to be able to go, I rang my brother in law to tell him and he said it was ok, nobody would want to increase my pain level as it's bad enough anyway and that everyone would understand. I still feel terrible about it, I wanted to go to say goodbye and support my family so i'm really upset. I guess I will just have to say a prayer at home at the time of the funeral. Delta 0 Posted October 8, 2004 Thanks Hang, Odie and Debbie *HUGS*. Delta's log star date 08/10/04 Well I went to the hospital yesterday but I didn't have any injections. They have decided because the last set didn't work that I need some different injections these go in the nerve root, so I am back on the waiting list and hopefully I can have them in a few months. The Doctor I saw said to me that he thinks that my back will never fully recover and I will always be in pain and if it heals enough that the pain is not constant I will be very high risk for the same thing happening again. I did not need to hear this yesterday and with all the stress of recent events I completely embarrassed myself by bursting into tears in the hospital clinic. I'm very tired at the moment, I have not had more that two hours of sleep any night for the last two weeks which doesn't help. Anyhow that's all for now! Delta signing off! I hope your back will heal or least it will allow to live a normal life. You should not be embarrassed about crying in the clinic. You are under lots of stress. Its your bodies why to deal with it. I could not go so I said some prayers and remembered her. It is strange but even though she has been gone two weeks now it still doesn't feel real. On a more cheerful note I am now posting this on my new laptop it is amazing, it must be ten times faster than my old laptop and the screen is huge so that has cheered me up a bit.
