  1. Really, I didn't know that. Thanks.

As for the First officer question about T'Pol. According to the bio files for T'Pol she is merely the Sciende officer on the NX-01

Has Archer never referd to her as his First Officer? And if she's not then who is?

  2. I have a feeling that The Wrath of Khan will win but The Undiscovered Country was my favorite. Christopher Plummer did such a great job in that. Also, the Klingons are just so interesting.

I'm so glad someone else finally voted for VI! I've always loved this one the most but it always gets over shadowed by II. Christopher Plummer really was awesome and I think that this movie had the most complex script of any of the first 6 films.

  3. She may not have been Starfleet but she was Siskos First Officer. I never really thought of it before but Riker was the last First Officer to actually be in Starfleet! Kira was Bajorin, Chakoty was a maquee (spl?), and T'Pol is from the Vulcan Government. Maybe that's what's been missing from the last few shows. We need another Starfleet vesel with a real Starfleet crew!

  4. Stoek is right it really isn't an ethical practice. That is why I said it was the "sad" turth. I still think however that you do get more out of a TNG box set than you would a season of Buffy. How many times can you watch Buffy over and over again? I'm re-watching season 3 of TNG right now and most of these episodes I've seen at least 5 times already. For me TNG was more than just a TV show, it's soul juice baby!

  5. I agree with everything you said except for

ST10 had a good concept, but was executed very badly

I loved the way Nemesis turned out! But yo make very good points and I do wish that people would cut Shatner some slack. I think that most of the original cast, not just Shatner, are not completly happy with the way Star Trek has gone. Nimoy, Shatner, and Nickols all managed to very nicely dance around the question of what that thought of the newer shows when it came up.

  6. :) That rocks! You lucky stiff, I hope you choke!

    not really

    Thanks man! er... I think?

Yeah I have no idea how much it's worth. Does anyone know where I can find out?

  7. I LOVE TAS! I tried for years to find the animated series on video with out luck and so about a year ago I downloaded all 22 episodes off Kaza and burned them to VCD. I given up collecting Star Trek Trading cards because there are just too many of them and it got too expensive for me. Does anyone remember the 25th aniversery card set that came out in '91? Half the set was TOS and half was TNG, anyway I had that whole set as well as the first TNG and DS9 sets put out by Sky Box. Yes IF I had the money I would buy the Animated Series cards.

  8. There are two kinds of Star Trek fans that bother me. 1.) Those who ONLY like TOS 2.)Those who like everything except TOS.

It's all good... The special effects may be out dated but TOS ability to capture the human spirit, mold it, and spit it out improved was remarkable. I love Enterprise and I don't mean to dog on it but there are episodes of TOS and TNG that have changed my way of thinking. I don't think that Enterpise (and maybe Voyager) have had that power.

  9. At the convention yesterday in Pasedena CA, I bought a copy of William Shatners book 'Tek War' for 50 cents. Anyway I got home a just a few minutes ago I was fliping through the pages when I found a McDonalds Double Glittter Iron-on from 1979. I love things like this! Everyone collects the action figures, lunch boxes, records and trading cards. But the little things like this are the ones that seem truely rare to me. Plus it's older than I am!

  10. There have been polls for best Captian but I haven't seen a First Officer Poll yet. Who's your favorite?

My vote of course is for Spock, it's the logical choice. But feel free to let your emotions decide for you!

  11. At Creation Entertainments 11th Grand Slam Sci-Fi Summit yesterday (3/39/03) Leonard Nimoy presented his long time friend William Shatner with Creation's Life Time Achievement Award. Shatner had the crowd rolling with a hilarious acceptance speech in which he claimed he could not accept the award unless he had truly achieved something worth and award or he had died, neither of which he felt he had done. He went on to add however that if he had a beautiful wife, wonderful children, and had earned the friendship of wonderful people such as Nimoy and the rest of the original series cast than he could accept the award.

Both Shatner and Nimoy were a completely delight and they kept the crowd laughing for almost a full hour (I think, I actually lost track of time).

Also making appearances at the convention today were:

Nichelle Nichols, Walter Koenig, James Doohan, Alan Ruck, and Armin Shimerman.

    And from Star Wars:

Carrie Fisher, David Prose (Darth Vader), Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca), Jeremy Bulloch (Boba Fett), and Kenny Baker (R2D2)

I should have some pictures that I can post in a day or two...

  12. I think Micheal Piller should take over. He was in charge of the TNG writing staff during it's best years and also worked with Rick Berman to create both DS9 and Voyager. After Gene died Berman and Piller were a team running Star Trek and I thought that they were doing just fine. It wasn't until Piller left that I think it started to drift down hill. All of the interviews I've read and seen with him he seemed really down to earth and like he understood where Rodenberry was coming from. Philler should have stayed, Berman should have left... In this mans opinion..

  13. “Judgment” - April 9

Overview: The Klingons make Caption Archer stand trial for attacking a Klingon ship and by giving aid to refugees against the Klingons. If he is found guilty, then he will be put to death or might a sentence to life in the Rura Penthe (this is the same place where Kirk & McCoy went!). Archer tries to get his side of the story out there and he also finds there “are Klingons who want to lead a more peaceful existence”. Another really interesting fact is that Archer will have to fight off Duras (ancestor of Duras in TNG)!

Am I dreaming or is there supposed to be a war between the Klingons and the Federation in the time that takes place between Enterprise and TOS. I love that Humans and Klingons have made peace in the 24th centurey but this is 22nd Centurey. I just hope the writers remember that as Enterprise continues its mission. I think it would be cool to see how the war began in the first place. Archer just doesn't seem like the kind of Captian that would ever start a war though.. He's too nice! I think Kirk should leave the Nexus and go back in time to start the war.... It could happen..

It does sound like a good episode though. I have faith in Enterprise.

  14. Personally I find the pricing structure a little ridiculous.  If Buffy with six discs is a little under sixty, why should Star Trek be over a hundred.

I'm sure I don't speak for everyone but I would rather pay $100 for 6 discs filled with TNG than I would $60 for 3 whole seasons worth of Buffy. I'm not trying to knock Buffy I'm just pointing out that TNG season box sets can, will, and are selling for over $100 where as I don't know near as many people who would pay that much for Buffy. It's the sad turth of the industry comes down to this: If you'll pay it, they'll charge it. How many of you have ever paid $3.50 for a small coke at a movie before? Same thing.

  15. I just watched The Hunted for the first time in years last night. I had forgotten that he was in it. I almost wrote a post about it but you beat me to it. I think that's the second time you've done that! I guess I need to get on the ball! For some reason I thought he was in an episode of TOS also but it's not listed on IMDB so I must be dreaming...
