5'6" and lovin' it!

I don't think Star Trek V is as bad as a lot of people make it out to be, but I still think it's the weakest of the original series films.

I voted Musician, composer. I'm also a performer and a photographer. If anyone is interested in checking out what I do visit: My Webpage

I don't know if it will bring about a new generation of fans but it might at least remind a lot of the old fans just how awesome TOS is! I'm just happy that they are finally putting out the box sets. It's about time.

Yar..

As much as I would love to see a movie about Sulu I'm afrade he might be getting too old. They need to hurry up and make a Riker and the "Titan with optional TNG guest stars" before the TNG crew gets too old also!
-
I don't know how I feel about this but as long it's not dead then there is hope! I still wish they would make a DS9 movie. It was by far the best series.

I have to go with Star Wars (origianal). I don't think the new ones should even be on the poll. Not because I don't like them (because I do) but because how can you vote on a trilogy that you've only seen the first two parts of!

I think T'Pol is clearly the smartest. Most of the other characters will have smart moments but only following moments of complete stupidity. T'Pol however seems to be pretty much always on top of things.

I almost busted a gut when I saw that!

Their all good but I have to go with DS9. It's a little on the slow side but still a great theme and it fit the show nicely. TOS was a bit too classic sci-fi, TNG was a little fast, VOY was a little too slow, and ENT just isn't my cup of tea (especially not the new version in season 3).

I've given this a lot of thought and I have to go with hearing. I could learn to live as a blind man but not being able to hear would drive me insain.

I think Kirk Destroying the Enterprise in Search for Spock was the most emotional. In fact everything about that movie was emotional! I have a hard time watching it without wanting to cry....

That's awesome! the closest thing I have to that is Ken Jenkins (who played Dr. Paul Stubbs in the TNG episode: "Evolution") coming into the photoshop I work at to get a bunch of slides scanned.

I vote they bring Sisko back!

American tv does suck... no offense to anyone... but almost everything is a dumb reality show. I think I liked the sitcom 90's the best. All I really have is Star Trek, what's left of Friends and maybe 24 (I just started watching the show). Heck even the Simpsons is garbage now. Once again no offense intended, but I know somebody will disagree with that comment!I agree with everything except "the simpsons is garbage now"
I think Simpsons is the only show to ever run as long as it has without really loosing anything.

...Also I've never really liked Rod Stewert in the first place. It's not a Rod Stewart song, it was written by Dianne Warren.
Whoever wrote it, I've never liked that style. It's always seemed a little on the sappy side for me.

I tried to log in for the thanksgiving chat but for some reason it wouldn't let me. I'm not sure why however since I've been able to log in before. Anyway I don't think I'll be availible on Christrmas Eve anyway.. but have fun!

I've been reading the Ray Bradbury novel "Fahrenheit 451" recently and for some reason this topic reminds me of it. The idea that anything that could be considered offensive to any minority group has to be censored. At this rate I would say that we're only a few steps behind burning books on the basis that they might make "some" people unhappy.
What will it be people? Happiness? or Knowledge.

I have to go with the Christmas classic "It's a Wonderful Life". I have no idea how many times I've seen this movie still I don't think I'll ever grow tired of it. I think Jimmy Stewert is one of the greatest actors of all time!
-
I do agree that the lyrics fit the series well but I still think that of all the shows Enterprise should have had the opening speach. I mean they truely are going where no man (one) has gone before!
...Also I've never really liked Rod Stewert in the first place.

Did anyone bother to go see Alien when it was re-released last month?Yes, we thought the redo was not all that great quility wise, (the story was still good but we did not see an noticable change with added scenes) the picture was somewhat blurry and very jumpy, they should have re-mastered the print imo.
About Bladerunner, it's ok, hope to see the DC someday.
You might want to check with your local theater because when I saw it the picture was pretty sharp. Also I know the added scene didn't ad that much to the movie but I did like it. More than anything it was just cool to see it in theaters (since I wasn't born yet when it came out the first time!)

Dark meat... The white meat is too dry most of the time.

Blade Runner rules!
I've only seen the directors cut so I really don't know how different it is from the original but for the most part the long slow shots don't bother me. In a lot of ways I miss the old more slow paced sci-fi movies. It seems like a lot of the more recent sci-fi's have lost a lot of plot and intesity to fast moving CGI effects. Did anyone bother to go see Alien when it was re-released last month? Now that's what I'm talking about...
For those who are interested the movie 'Minority Report' was also based on a book by P.K.(Please stop me from cursing) (who wrote Bladerunner)
Should Trick or Treating be Abolished?

I'm against abolishing trick or treating. It is one of the highlights of my childhood and if I ever have children of my own I would hope they could enjoy it like I did. I'm not sure exactly what happened to cause people to start thinking of it as "un-safe". It's my opinion that trick or treating is no more dangerous now then it was when I was a kid. It's just that it's less interesting now since fewer people give out candy. Every year now they show news stories about all of the ways that people can poison your childrens candy and about how dangerous it is, but I don't think I've ever actually heard of anyone actually finding the poison candy or being attacked by a random old couple giving out freshly made popcorn balls.
It's possible that I've been watching too many Roger Moore movies lately but I think Americans have become over paranoid about everything. At this rate in 25 years only 1 out of 10 people will be brave enough to ever leave their homes during the day time. Fear can be a dangerous weapon in the war of ultimate control. Anyone remember the TNG episode Devil's Due?
