  1. I saw the trailer for The Core when I went to see Nemesis and it made me almost lose my will to live. It looks sooooo bad! I also was kind of insulted when they tell the kid to "hack the planet" and he asks for hot pockets and Star Trek tapes. I felt like they were type casting Trekies (and Trekers) as complete dweebs. The sad thing is I'm sure (or at least I would guess) that Paremont Pictures gave The Core at least 3 times the budget that they gave Nemesis. You will have to drag me to the theater and buy my ticket, pop corn and soda to get me to see this movie.

  2. Even "The Inner Light", which (and I know I could get grilled for this) I found a little slow and boring, has its great merits, so I can't say I HATE it! - well, I agree. It had a good point and it was very thoughtful, but it definitely wasn't one of my favourites.

I know everyone has the right to their own opinions but I'm going to have to be the one grill you for this.. Inner Light was one of the best episodes!!! I know it wasn't the fastest passed episode but it was just such a great story! Also Patrick Stewert is my favorite all time Star Trek actor and I thought he was awesome in this one. It was neat to see him do an episode with his son also.

about the only thing in SOE that i did not like was the really fake looking blood on Tasha's face. That always bugged me. - It was a "blotch" not blood. But I agree, completely.

Was that suposed to be blood? I had always thought that it was some kind of greese stain from the tar monster. Like a mark of evil or something. I would have never thought that it was suposed to be blood.

  3. That's good at least. It would have been cool if they had let him re-cut it though, maybe he could have made it better the second time around. I have to say that I'm surprised that Star Trek V had such a shoe string budget after the success of Voyage Home. The movie industry makes no sense to me at all... That's why I moved to Hollywood!

  4. Less of a villan and more of a mad man...

What no directors cut for ST:V? Does that mean that their not going to let Shatner re-cut it or does that mean that there isn't even going to be a special edition DVD.. Even though I think that V was the worst film I still think it deserves a 2-disc version.

  5. Uhm... *blushes*  OK, but you have to promise not to laugh...

Beedrill is a Pokémon.  Yeah, I'm a Pokémon fan.  But just of the old stuff.  I don't like the new things they're coming out with.  Blah.  And, Beedrill is this really spiffin' bee Pokémon with drill/needle things and it looks cool.  And it's a pretty good fighter, too.  And, well, bees have always been my favorite animal, so it's reasonable that Beedrill would be my favorite Pokémon, right?  So Beedrill's been my general screen name for years, now.  And the ensign part... well... I think it would be pretty cool to be an ensign in Starfleet.  Thus, Ensign_Beedrill.

I'm new to this thing... is there a way you can reply to specific replies, or do you just have to reply to the starting post?

  6. Data was standing 2 feet from an explosion that destroyed the whole ship, there is no way his head or brain could be anything but space dust!

John Logan (Nemesis writer) said in an interview right before Nemesis came out that he already has a great idea for a sequal. I hope they make it!

  7. yes "spock's brain" was bad, but i think "the way to eden" was the worst. it was just so corny. the thing i hate about tos and alot of tng are the stupid costumes everyone wears. the uniforms are cool, but not the other costumes. just look at VaBeachGuy's "the way to eden" picture up there! Lol. But other then the wardrobes, the shows rock!

Dude what are you talking about! "The way to Eden" was totally now!

I agree that Spocks Brain was the worst..

  8. Thanks!  It has been so much fun so far.  Thankfully no one has told us to shut up yet!

    SHUT UP!

Just kidding, I really enjoy your posts actually. At least you have something to say! Comander Soong, I salute you. :)

  9. Yes, a real Star Trek ledgend for sure. I also liked him in "Mission Impossible" and "In Search Of" also.

I've always wanted to see the old Mission Impossible show but I never have. I was a huge fan of the Mission Impossible series that ran in the 80's however. I don't know how many of you ever watched the second MI series but it was really good. If I remember right it came on the air about a year after TNG and the pilot episode starred John de Lancie as the episodes arch villian. I thought it was pretty cool that he got to play the villian roll in the pilot episode of two of the greatest series to come out of the 80's. The second MI show also starred the actor (sorry don't know his name) who asked Kirk if they were going to give them a heros welcome at the begining of Star Trek III.

I have to say though that I really didn't like the MI movies at all... Too bad it was a great idea!

  10. Well, there are tons of them, but I kinda like Spock in Star Trek VI:  The Undiscovered Country:

"There is an old Vulcan proverb that says 'Only Nixon could go to China'".

Vulcan proverb  ? :) ? :) ? ? That is hilarious  , Spock said that one in the movie  ?

There are so many great lines in ST:VI

Uhura: "Captian Starfleet says we are to report back at once... To be decomissoned.."

    (long silence around the bridge)

Spock: "If I were humen, I believe my response would be 'Go to hell.' If I were human"

Also I liked it when Gorkon said: "You have not experienced Shakspere until you have read it in the original Klingon."

  11. Found a guy on Kazaa that had all the episodes, I talked to him and got access to his FTP, thanks for the help..

I have not yet, though only seen the first season, started to enjoy Voyager as much as I enjoy enterprise and TNG..

Haven't even watched DS9 yet, to be honest.. Have to start collecting the boxes i guess, there is not much Star Trek on TV in Sweden :/

You should give DS9 a chance. I think it's better than Voyager or Enterprise (both of which I'm a big fan of).

  12. I don't think that they should be merged. Ten Forward is like the 'anything goes, whatever you want to say Star Trek' board, where as Off Topic is the 'anything goes whatever you want to say non-Star Trek' board. Having the two boards is a nice way to seperate fact and fiction. That's my opinion anyway.

  13. I had no idea Laforge and Riker graduated the same year. It makes you wonder how well Geordi did at the academy. In Encounter at Farpoint Riker was a Comander and First Officer of the Federations flagship and Geordi was a lowly Lt. Jr. Grade! It's not un common in school settings for those who are at the top of their class to not pay that much attintion to those at the bottom.. But then again how do you forget a guy with a visor!
