  1. I agree that there is something fishy going on. It is obvious that the Vulcans want Enterprise to fail. However over time I believe that Archer and crew are slowly proving themselves to the Vulcans. I think perhaps by the end of the series tanks to Archer and the NX-01 the Vulcans will finally start respecting the humans. Thus the United Federation of Planets will be born.

  2. I really like the Star Trek VI poster because there is so much going on in it. I think my second runner up would have to be Generations which is kind of ironic considering that it's one of the weakest films. First Contact is also really cool.

  3. For me it's Nemesis, First Contact, Insurrection no hard thinking needed. As far as Generations goes it definatly falls in the number 4 slot. I would go as far as to say that out of all 10 movies Generations only stands inches above The Final Frontier, and that's only because Patrick Stewert is such a great actor!

  4. No way Garak_girl! I loved the civilian clothing in Star Trek III (and IV). I'll admit that I really wasn't much for most of the skin tight stuff in the first few seasons of TNG and a lot of the kids got some pretty stupid looking cloths. You have to keep in mind however that this is supposed to be several hundred years in the future. If someone from 300 years ago saw what we were wearing now they would probably think it looked pretty silly too! I think that Picard got some pretty sexy cool outfits thourgh out the series though..

Oops! Well maybe not that last one....

  5. I think that Star Trek V might have worked if they hadn't tried so hard to make it a comedy. Star Trek IV was funny but the humor worked well with the story. I felt like after the success of Star Trek IV the studio was trying to cash in on the Trek humor but in this case it just didn't fly. True there were some parts in the movie that made me laugh but not enough to save the movie. Star Trek has always had an element of humor but it shouldn't have to be forced. Beyond the forced humor I thought that the plot was weak, the special effects were lame, the Klingons were stupid, and the Enterprise was a disaster! The list of why I think this was the worst Trek film of all time is a mile long so I'll stop here.

  6. I thought that DS9 did a pretty good job of touching on the topics of faith and religion with the Bajorans. Kira Nerys was a respected character who still managed to have faith in her religion.

It is true that religion is looked down upon in Star Trek and I think that a lot of that has to do with the fact that Gene Rodenberry was a Humanist. I do think that a somewhat religious character on Enterprise could be interesting and possibly just as contraversal as a gay character.

  7. I get into the movies so much that I have never cought any of those things. I saw a list of TNG bloopers one time and I couldn't believe how much I had missed. Everything from Romulans chewing gum to Picards badge being worn on the wrong side of his uniform to boom mics droping down into the picture. It just goes to show you the power of a good story!

  8. I think a TV movie might be a really cool idea, but not for TNG. I think it would be cool if they made a mini series that was like six 2 hour episodes about Voyager after it returned home. They could also tie in with DS9 and maybe just maybe a few TNG characters. I think with the right promotion a 12 hour mini-series could do really well.

  9. My vote is for Nichelle Nichols, but I'm not sure if she counts as a suporting actress. If not Nichols then I would have to go with Grace Lee Whitney who played Janice Rand.

Grace Lee Whitney and Nichelle Nichols 3/28/03 at a convention in LA.

  10. I think they need Phlox.  The Enterprise is in uncharted territory for humans and they need a doctor who has experience and knowledge of illnesses from other worlds.  A human doctor could treat the crew for earth illnesses what experience would this doctor have trying to treat illnesses contracted from other species or in helping species that the Enterprise encounters.

I know that is why Archer asked him to be on Enterprise in the first place but still. If Hoshi can learn any alien language just be listening to it once or twice than I think it would be easier to believe that some human doctor could figure out any sickness on any spices.

  11. TOS: Spock

TAS: Kirk (I love his voice overs)

    TNG: Picard! :)

    DS9: it's a tie between Sisko and Dax :)

    VOY: Janeway

ENT: T'Pol and then Trip(I like them both about the same)

For the movies I'm only counting those characters that weren't regulers on the shows.

TOS MOVIES: Gerneral Chang (ST: VI)

    TNG MOVIES:Shinzon (NEMESIS)

  12. I think they could lose Phlox and get a better docter that can relate to the crew more. I've just never liked his character much at all. I will admit however that next weeks episode looks pretty awesome and it apperes to focus manly on the docter. I was willing to give him a chance, and I think that two years is more than fare. The two years is almost up, so we'll see if he can redeem himself in my eyes.

  13. Converting my family was easy. Though I'm the only "die hard" in my family it's safe to say that we are all big fans. Converting friends is something that I have had very little luck with. Either they like Star Trek when I meet them or else they never do. It sucks right now actually because I recently moved and now all of my family and trekkie friends live 1400 miles away! I have had no luck converting any of my roomates.

    Thank God for startrekfans.net!

  14. I can't think of any other times when a "character" from Voyager crossed over, but there are a few times when some of the actors played other parts. Tim Russ (Tuvok) was in Generations on the Enterprise B as well as he played a terroist in an episode of TNG (can't remember the name). Ethan Phillips (Neelix) also played a Ferangi in the TNG episode Menage a Troi. Also Robert Duncan McNeill (Tom Paris) was in the TNG episode The First Duty.

Those are the only ones that come to mind at the moment.

  15. cptwright,

I don't have cable, so I watch SG-1 in syndication, Saturday nights at 8 on my local UPN. :o

    Tank,

I don't believe there are "uncut" episodes.  If I'm not mistaken, the episodes are purposely made to be 45 mins in length so a quarter of the hour can be filled with comerrcials.  And actually, I kinda like the 45 min length opposed to the full hour length.  Anywho... :o

I know that there isn't an un-cut Enterprise. I was being sarcastic. I feel sorry for Enterprise that the episodes all have to be 5-8 minutes shorter just to make room for UPN to run the same preview for Buffy 2 times every break. In a weekly TV series 5-8 minutes can be a really long time.

  16. I think in about 4 or 5 years a spin off of Enterprise could be pretty cool. It could follow a new starship crew during the formation of the United Federation of Planets. Starfleet and the Federation can be merging to become on thing and in the proccess Starfleet starts building more warp ships. It would be interesting to see what kind of ship follows the NX-01. It could be a bigger ship that can go warp 7, use photon torpidos, shields, ect.. This could also be a good series to focus on the early days of war with the Romulans and Klingons.
