I've loved root beer floats from A&W since I was a kid! Orange soda floats are good, too.

I would go back to the time when Bill Gates was still in high school. I'm hoping I would get younger as well..anyhoo, Gates was the school geek who all the girls ignored. I would be REALLY, REALLY nice to him, agree to be his prom date, and, after graduation, when he proposed, I'd say yes. Then I'd laugh all the way to the bank while all the "cool" girls turn green with jealousy over my hot new Mercedes and my wardrobe.....

Still valuable and relevant to modern day audiences.
I agree with all the above posters. TOS endures because of intelligent script writers who told stories that made audiences think, unlike many of today's TV series who depend on eye candy to attract an audience.

Actually, TransporterMalfunction is correct. TNG did morph some characters originally written for Star Trek: Phase II (Decker & Ilia=Riker & Troi) and some of the Phase II scripts were used for TNG during the writer's strike. I personally am glad they went with the TOS movies instead of the Phase II series. The main reason being that Spock would not have appeared in the Phase II series. There was a new Vulcan character named Xon written for the series.

I 'm ready for the day when weekly series are available "on demand" rather than at a specifc, arbitrary time. I already record shows to watch when its convenient - not when it's convenient for the network.I guess you don't have cable! If you have a digital cable box, there are many cable and premium channels already available on demand. As of yet, none of the networks offer this option. There is also a cable box equipped with a digital video recorder, allowing you to record your favorite series and watch them at your convenience. No need to wait until the 22nd century!

The Wrath of Khan is my favorite, followed by The Voyage Home for a close second.

Another thing I think the artists themselves are paid far to much money, and that goes for the movie stars as well. It's obscene what they are paid.Musicians who are paid obscene amounts of money are a select few. Most musicians get paid very little-it's the music companies who are raking it in hand over fist. If you talk to the majority of artists, they will tell you that they feel they were ripped off by music companies after signing contracts where the artist gets pennies while the music company makes thousands.

I am happily single. I am 43 years old, never been married and don't ever plan to be. I do have a 22 year old son who happens to be my pride and joy. I'm not currently involved in a relationship, and for me it's safer that way. I have a bad habit of falling for toxic men who destroy me either financially or emotionally. So, single I am and single I'll stay for now.

OK THIS IS NICE, BUT NOW HOW I'M I TO REMEMBER ALL THESE LITTLE ENVELOPE THINGS?????? :angry:Let me try to simplify it for you. You don't have to remember all the different envelopes and colors. From what I'm seeing, if the envelope has a dot on it, that means you have posted there. So, no dot, no post. If the envelope contains a dot, you have a post there. Better?

"Wagon train to the stars" was a phrase coined by Gene Rodenberry while pitching Star Trek to the television networks. The reason he used that phrase is because in the late 60's, most of the successful television series on the air were westerns-the most popular being Wagon Train.

No the virus part was in reference to the way the FakeData would feel about the crew of the Enterprise, this is because FakeData was downloaded into the Enterprise mainframe and has grown to the point where the Enterprise has actually become it’s body, hence the people buzzing inside would be like a virus.Been there. Done that. Star Trek: The Motion Picture. V'Ger's programming has evolved to the point where it has consciousness. V'Ger also attempts to do away with the "carbon based units infesting Enterprise."

Very nice.....robs them for my board..Is that your board? It isn't in English so I couldn't tell what anything said there lol
VBG..I think you misunderstood..he is saying he wants to rob your smilies FOR his board, not that you robbed the smilies FROM his board. Am I right?

James T. Kirk was the pompadoured polyester-wearing communicator-wielding leader of the Starship Enterprise on the 1960s television show "Star Trek."
Ahem...James T Kirk never sported a "pompadour" and the uniforms were made of velour!!!

I will kick the bucket on May 19, 2024 at the age of 64 years old
39% Cancer
9% Alcoholism
7% Heart attack
7% Horrible accident
5% Homicide
So, it seems that on May 19 2024 I will be getting drunk and feeling sorry for myself because I have cancer. I will decide to leave the bar because the chest pains are really starting to bother me. I'll stagger in to traffic, causing a man driving a really nice car to swerve to avoid hitting me. He will then get out of the car and blow my head off with his gun because my drunken *buttocks* caused him to wreck his primo wheels.

Stardate:213452.9Finnaly someone else who thinks this episode sucked.A friend of mine loves this episode and said i was crazy when i told him it sucked.
Here's another one who believes Spock's Brain was an insult to the series and the cast. I wonder if Leonard Nimoy made it through filming that one without either laughing his *buttocks* off or puking.

I'd buy a nice condo for my mom and set up a bank account for her so she never has to worry about money again. I'd buy my son a little house and the car of his dreams--I'd hook him up with some cash too. I'd get rid of the Dodge Neon I'm currently driving and buy a car that looks hot and goes like a bat out of hell. I'd buy a ton of new clothes and travel, travel, travel!!!

I'm thinking we should add this game to the itinerary (sp?) to the startrekfans.net convention.
