  1. It says I'm an ESFJ, extrovert, sensor, feeler, judger. My character is Dr McCoy.

People like you are generally concerned about others and work hard to be of service. You're friendly, affectionate, outgoing and talkative. You're polite when it's appropriate, willing to take risks to help others, and cooperative, especially when you perceive that you're part of a team. You enjoy action, but you're a realist and quite literal. You're also organized and responsible. You love things that are time-honored.

You're conscientious, almost to a fault at times. You're very sensitive to others and get your feelings hurt easily.

Your primary goal in life is creating exceptional relationships and helping people in tangible, practical ways. Your reward is to be appreciated and relied upon, as well as to respected, particularly in regards to your ethics.

Good careers for your type include personal fitness trainer, exercise physiologist, travel agent, innkeeper, veterinarian, and employee assistance counselor.

  2. The episode that left a lasting impression on me also involved Seven of Nine. I can't think of the episode's name! It's the one where technology from the doctor's mobile emitter combines with Seven's Borg technology via the transporter, creating a 29th century Borg. It grows from fetus to adulthood in a matter of days, and Seven is assigned to "train" this new drone, or give it it's first orders. We see Seven begin to care for this new drone, and pass along some of the things she learned from Captain Janeway, mainly about being an individual rather than a part of a collective. The drone even chooses a name for himself-One. One also learns to care about Seven and the rest of the Voyager crew, and when his automatic homing device activates, he deactivates himself so he won't bring the Borg down on Voyager. The scene between him and Seven in sick bay was very touching. Seven is trying to cover her pain by playing the emotionless Borg until she finally admits-"You are hurting me."

  3. You ARE!?! My mom is a Wisconsinite too!! Actually a few of my relatives are, my mom is the sixth of eight children. She was born in Wautoma, where are you from, if you wish to share?

Don't mind at all. I don't think there are any stalkers lurking on these boards, and if there are, our Fearless Leader will protect me, I'm sure. I'm in Milwaukee. I think Wautoma is in Northeast Wisconsin, the Fox Valley area maybe?

  4. I had a discussion via PM with VBG regarding this very subject. He even sent me a copy of the PM "Federation" had sent to him. Judging from what "Federation" said in this PM, this guy's got some real issues. I thought I knew who this guy was, and VBG confirmed it during our conversation. Some of you might have seen some of the posts he leaves at st.com. He posts there under the name "gabe_logan." He's got a beef with VBG because he blames VBG and the rest of us for the failure of his own website. Mr Logan states in the PM he sent VBG that the reason he had to take down his website is because VBG was "spreading lies about him" and that we, the posters at startrekfans.net, went to Mr Logan's website and spammed it!!! What a crock!!

  5. But yes, even though I do not drink...getting the cat to take a pill could drive you to the bottle! Rates up there with trying to give them a bath! We gave up by turning on the shower, placing the cat in there, closing the door and then ducking as the cat would leap out over the door and onto anyone they could sink their claws into!

You think THAT'S funny, try a cat and a Houdini hamster in the same household. I call the hamster Houdini because no matter what I did, that little varmit always managed to find his way out of the cage! My son stil remembers the night he was awakened by a rukus in the house. He emerged from his bedroom to find the hamster being chased by the cat, and the cat being chased by me, still soaking wet because I was interrupted halfway through what I thought would be a relaxing bath!

  6. If TrekBBS was all there was to it I would ignore him, but he PMd me with threats and on another message board even challanged me to a physical fight lol.

What a moron! Sounds like he would be happier hanging around with the rest of the retarded kiddies at st.com!

  7. I it used for a while, but didn't what the bug deal was, every now and then i use it, but I stick with Explorer mostly.

OT: As for the Screen Savers I watch it all the time, but don't think it's what it used to be.

What do you mean by "bug deal?" I'm afraid I'm a tad confused.

  8. Hey all! I just downloaded an alternate internet browser called Mozilla. The ScreenSavers on TechTV have been raving about this browser for quite a while because it's more secure than IE, has a built-in pop up blocker, and tabbed browsing. I was always too chicken to download it because I'm fairly new at computers and I thought changing browsers would be too much for me. Well, tonight I got brave, downloaded it and am using it right now. It even automatically forwarded all my favorites from IE!! It wasn't that difficult to install, and the tabbed browsing makes navigating message boards MUCH easier. Now, when I read or respond to a thread, I just open it up in a separate tab and when I'm done I don't have to click the back button a million times to get back to the main board. Just click! Close the tab! I did have a little difficulty with the font tags here, because they work a little differently than in IE, but, as usual our Fearless Leader was there to lend a helping hand and I got that little problem licked. So far, I'm really liking Mozilla!

Does anybody else here use Mozilla? If so, what do you think? Have any tips or tricks for a newbie?

  9. I'd like to see something with a Romulan civil war as I think that would be the natural next step from Nemesis.  If they could get Leonard Nimoy to come out of retirement and be involved it could bring in the reunification story as well.

I think Leonard Nimoy returning for one last film is just the shot in the arm Star Trek needs. A story about a Romulan civil war and Ambassador Spock's attempts to stop it would, IMHO, be a box office blockbuster!
