  1. 1. That Hub is new, not old. & that means the Borg hadn't used it to attack on a regular basis. Because if its old, they should be attacking long ago & the Queen should be able to come to earth less then an hour rather then 6 years.

    2. Those Fed ships waiting there, are sent by Admiral Paris, watch the episode again & hear what they all are saying. They mentionned that their nearest forces have "arrived" meaning its not a normal post.

  2. IMHO

If Janeway had cooperated with the Borg 100% fully, the Borg will realize that individual races can be mature enough to be trustworthy & make it possible to have an early alliance with the Federation.

As 7 of 9 said, the Collective suspected that humans are not to be trusted, if they prove this to be wrong the Collective may change their view about the Federation & possibly find a more peaceful relationship & also find a new way to seek for perfection then a full out assimilationof each species they deemed worthy.

But since this is not the case, all I can say is, what Janeway did is the first step in a longer time length to achieve peace with the Borg.

    :P

  3. Thanks to Vulcan idealof how toprogress, I'm not surprise they are lacked behind in the R&D.

The way they R&D is by running simulations hundreds of times rather then testing it in real life. That really slowed them down.

& since they are part of the Federation now. "Their fleet" is the Federation's fleet.

All those who joins the Federation shares their tech into creating those vessels we all know & love. :P

    Its a "multi racial" vessels.

Are Andorians part of the Feds?

  4. Many things are left unknown in the past.

Until 2063 human's date. The Vulcan have barely made any successful first contacts.

Some of their contacts end up constant violence amongst each other like the race -- Trip got stuck with 1 of them on a hot planet knocking each other while waiting for rescue.

    - The constant suspicions of the Andorians.

    - Etc.

With their "Vulcan behavior" other races barely are able to tolerate them.

Until they met a primitive "highly enthusiastic race" the humans who sees them as a great mentor after their 1st Contact, At that time the Vulcans must have felt like a father to a race. until the kids grew up & want to leave their home to explore.

ok, I'm straying off from my point, lol

anyway the point is, they have been living their logical ways for cenuries & never stayed with any other races as long as they did with the humans. & also humans are very nosy in a good way that they always busy body about their past & behaviors. Which I'm sure no other races bother disscussing about.

So after living with humans, they tend to 'soften up'. T'Pol is 1 of countless few who help start to open their race's mind to [mindmelds, emotions, etc.]

Which led to the 1st Human/Vulcan child, Spock.

As the centuries has gone by & Vulcans learn to tolerate human behaviors & learn not to be sooo "stiff" the Vulcans of the 23rd & 24th centuries are more calmer, cause they have gotten used to our instability.

lol, I'm not sure I'm making any sense here but rabble on the Vulcan - human story.

anyway I'll post it anyway. :P

  5. Honestly, no

we already know the Federation will live on till the 29th century & in the 31st century they change their name.

    Hmm...

    maybe they did lol,

that's why they change their name around the 30th century, because they were assimilated got freed. :andorian:

  6. Well, as we all know, or should know, in First Contact Picard destroyed the Borg Queen. Now I was wondering, what happened to the rest of the Borg. Like in the Delta Quadrant. Did they all get severed from the collective, did the cubes explode, or was their some sort of backup Queen? Any theorys or rumers?

The Borg rely on the Queen to help manage the collective. But she is not 100% vital to them.

When the Queen is not controling the collective, the Collective controlls themself. When the Queen left for earth in 2373, we see the Borg fending for themself in Voyager, they continue doing their job seeking perfection & found fluidic space.

But circumstances causes a war to be unleashed. Without a Queen, the Collective have to rely on themself to fight this species. When Voyager met the Borg at that time, they are talking to the Collective, since there's no Queen there to talk to.

Later Janeway convinced them to have an individual to be the contact between the collective & Voyager. A temporary Queen if you may. :andorian:

After both "Scorpion" & "ST:FC" is over, a new Queen is recreated after the death of the one at Sector 001. After finished being recreated she then realizes the current situation at home. & once realized about 7 of 9, she plans to retake her later to learn what she has learned as an individual.

    In other words:

There are replacements for dead Queens, there may be 100s of Queens died in the past before meeting the Federation. & also the collective can survive even without the Queen for a while.

The reason the drones died in ST:FC is because they are at close proximity with her, when she dies they all experiances what she does & dies together. While those Drones far away who have time to cut off their link before experianceing the same thing, will survive & live on.

    :borgqueen:

  7. A Drone injects the victim with its assimilation tubules which fills the host with Borg nanoprobes.

The nanoprobes will then start to alter the bloodstream & all else of the body, "enhencing them" at the same moment, it studies everything it can about the victim's biology.

Every changes made on to the body are based on enhencing the body. The blood changes into whatever it is, may be the best blood type the Borg can design. Making it stronger, higher regeneration, etc.

Technology is then also embedded onto the body, relevant nodes of each drones start to develope.

    General nodes:

    1. Node to link them with the hive-mind

    2. Their own assimilation tubules

    3. Subspace beacons

    4. Borg shielding

    5. An energy weapon, but never been used as its irrelevant

    6. Spacial aquility for the eye

    7. etc.

    Extra Nodes:

    1. for a doc drone they got that medical arm "the doc found in Dark Frontier"

    2. Tactical Drones got more armor & whatever additional weapons.

    3. Engineer, etc. All got their own special addons.

    Queen:

as a leader & controller of the collective, her main requirement is her head/brain/mind. Hence all she needs is a head & a body is irrelevant.

But she has a fully mechanized body "just incase" :andorian:

    & possess similiar general nodes.

    <_< IMHO :dude:

  8. Hey, no one likes how people die in any way, its not our choice in the matter.

I've heard friends die in various unfair ways.

1 BF & GF love oneanother, they went somewhere for a funeral, later drive back & poof the girl & a passenger died living the boy alone to grief.

Does that sound fair? Just when they are getting closer. I haven't seen him since or heard from him.

I agree with Tigger in a way,

just accept the death, but we don't have to like it.

& also don't bother in wanting to change the script. That's not our place to do it.

  9. In my opion Vulcan is 95.1 involved in faith the rest are free souls.

That could be the poll in the 22nd Century, what about the 24th? they all seems to be in touch with their "religion"

So far I haven't seen any Vulcan who aint talking differently then the rest. Well except for those young ones like Vorrik in Voyager who barely got the luxury of time in a Vulcan temple.

  10. They are an interesting example of giving warp tech to prewarp race.

The Kazons we're prewarp slaves to a warp race, after the Kazon's took over & take their captor's ships see what they do with it, :P

that's what the Directive is trying to prevent from happening in the Alpha Q.

& that's why Star Wars got so much bad vibes all around, they got too much primitive species with high tech.

In other words, they made contacts when those races aren't ready. So most they think is money, killing, bullying, etc. That's why they need Jedis to police them.

  11. I agree that timelines may create alternate realities.  However, let's use the episode "Timeless" for example.

In 2390, we see an older Chakotay and Harry locate a crashed and burried Voyager on an ice planet.  They're attempted to change the past.  Captain LaForge didn't want Chakotay and Harry to change the past.  Why?  Becuase 15 years of history would be erased.  Sure, it might exist in some alternate reallity, but LaForge isn't in that reallity, he's in this one.  As soon as Harry sends that message back in time, the Delta Flyer explodes and the timeline as of 2375 is "reset" erasing 2375-2390.

What I'm saying is yes, time travel allows "other reallities" to pop up, but in the "Star Trek" reallity, you only have one timeline at a time which is why we have the Temporal Prime Directive - to keep people from messing arround with history. Think of it like this.  What if Kes had succeeded in "Fury" and handed Voyager over to the Vadiians?  The crew would be dead, the Vadiians would have a lost Starfleet ship, Seven would still be Borg, the Borg rebellion would never have happened, Species 8472 might be invading the galaxy, and so forth.  This would be "our reallity" but changed.

    Any questions?

That's where you misunderstood me, Geordi like all of them & us are all living in every of the universes in different paths of our lives.

He said that sentence, because he do not know how time works. So might as well say what people have been thinking all along. After what Chakotay & Kim did it didn't changed the past 15 history, its still there for that Geordi to live in.

& live he is, he's still there watching the shuttle explode, did some scans & then return to Starfleet to report what happened, in their knowledge they failed. Chakotay & Kim should thank Geordi for killing them, because if he hadn't killed them, they wouldn't realize that they did succeed to create the better universe because they will still exist in their own & wonder why things haven't changed, when there is no change, only a creation of a new one.

Yes if Kes succeeded then all those things will happen, but also u got to keep in mind, they are all happening now too, if there's a similar episode in TNG, where they met their own self from other universes. You'd see some of this

    1. Voyager Assimilated.

    2. In worst condition [nightmare] or better [piece of cake]

    3. Kes still with them or not at all.

    4. Chakotay & Janeway was left on that world because Tuvok hadn't chose to find the Vidians.

    5. 8472 cleansed the galaxy, or at least the Borg.

    6. Borg rules

    7. Voyager chose to go 20 years back in time through that wormhole they found in "Eye of the Needle"

    8. etc.

all this are happening, all the choices they could have made are being made. But the point is, we are focusing on 1 universe & whatever happens to it. If they made an alteration idea, then we are switched to that new universe that's being created & see where that takes us.

Its as simple as that, if time travel is real. IMHO there may be lots of "changes" attempts, but we don't realize any changes [no not because our mind is changed along with it] but because we are not being changed, our reality is intact while the time alterer is living in the universe where he had made the change.

    :borgqueen:

    :P

  12. Here's what I wrote on "time paradoxes", not sure if its same topic or not.

    "Time"

People always ask this very question.

Harry: "Wait a second, If I send a message from the future & change the past, then that future may no longer exist, right. So how could I send the message in the first place?"

In order to answer this, we need the "multi universe" theory's help. Where

[with every choice made the universe is separated to unlimited of different universes based on the choices made & proceeds on with its own course of time.]

    Example

We'll be focusing on Voyager "Timeless" as its the best example.

PS: Please ignore the dots (`), its to keep far apart words stay apart.

As you can see, this 2 lines represent 2 different Timelines intersecting with one another in a certain time [2390 & 2375]

My theory is, when a timeline has been changed, the previous Universe hasn't been destroyed. It is still there thriving. So Laforge's fear was unjustified, he could just let Chakotay, Harry Kim & the Girl to do their business & they will all still be alive & living in that timeline they knew after Voyager's crash.

While another Reality where Voyager hasn't crashed but exited the slipstream just in time is created to live long & prosper.

But theres a catch to altering the timeline, a very big catch, which the cost is the alterer's life in this case "Harry Kim, The Doc, Chakotay & his Girlfriend.

The reason for their life to end is to prevent themselves from realtering their own plans. Meaning,

Say Geordi let them live & do what they want, & Harry succeeded in saving Voyager. But they will not realize it, because their reality will still remain & they'd think they have failed & try again, & by doing so they could be creating more different universes still trying to save Voyager that they already have.

That is why the alterer must die, to prevent themselves from undermining their own actions. & with the other reality in existence, that is how the event keeps repeating it self to save Voyager, Harry's other reality self is what is saving Voyager again & again & again & ...

So for those who wants to alter the timeline, they would have to be prepared to die as well.

    "Yesterday's Enterprise"

In this episode, this have proven the continuous existence of another reality when the altered one lives on with their lives, at the ending they saw the a ship (The Enterprise-C) appeared & disappeared, showing that they saw a glimpse of another reality to create the reality they know of & live in.

    "Time & Again"

Here have 3 timelines in question,

The 1st one is where a Voyager help destroyed the world

The 2nd the one that a Voyager found the destroyed world & entered to their past & stopped the disaster

The 3rd one is where a Voyager came & saw no destruction that Kes felt.

    "Future's End"

    Here have 3 timelines too

1st the one where Captain Braxton sees the destruction of the future by Voyager's interference

2nd is the one Braxton tries to destroy Voyager - got suck to the past with Voyager - He explains the situation to Janeway & Chakotay - with the warning they prevent the incident that was suppose to happen

3rd is where things got back to normal the way we know it as normal where another Braxton came to put Voyager back to its normal time 2373 the 21st century businessman died.

    "Before and After"

    2 timelines only

1st Kes's future as being married to Tom

2nd After Kes stops jumping backwards or forwards & creates a new timeline where she will leave Voyager on "The Gift"

Maybe because of this is what triggered Kes abilities to resurface faster then it should, that's why here she left in The Gift while in the other reality she's still on Voyager.

    "Year of Hell"

Who knows how many timelines are there here, but there are 3 Voyagers

1st they came & confronted a tiny ship threatening them

2nd time changed & the tiny ship becomes a battleship

3rd after taking their temporal shields off, Janeway destroyed the Time weapon & died while creating a new reality where Voyagers ok, The Krenim scientist & his wife are alive together.

    "Timeless"

As shown & explained in the above. 2 timelines

1st Voyager crash & Chakotay & Kim tried to change the timeline with the older Harry Kim & Chakotay dead

2nd Voyager didn't crash & the young Harry Kim got message from another reality Harry Kim 15 years older.

    "Endgame"

    2 timelines

    Similar to "Timeless"

1st Voyager took 30 something years or less to get home

2nd Voyager took 7 Years to get home with Admiral Janeway dead

  13. not quite, if we are dealing with a big object & a small one.

When the camera is zoomed on the small object. The big one should be very huge. But the tac Cube aint as huge as the Cubes when seen in a smaller ship's perspective.

That means the tactical Cube is smaller then the Cube maybe by 1,000m.

Anyway, if u want to know the Sovereign's compare to the Cube. check this in ST:FC at the time the Cube is going to blow, where they show him glowing with explosions, from the distance, u can see the hole's size to the whole Cube itself. Its so tiny. i think it can fit 5 Spheres in a row or column, meaning if the Cube is 100% hollow there could be 125 Spheres! inside. Thankfully its not that hollow.

so the Enterprise is nearly 700m. so compare the pic with the estimation of the Sovereign how small it really is. :o

  14. My favourite parts of this episode is how realistic they made the Borg looked.

from those 15 Cubes & ignoring Voyager after scanning them - Their heroic act of sacrificing their gigantic Cube to protect the tiny Intrepid ship & their multi Cube war.

    Borg Ally

The part where the Cube hits the 8472 bioship, looks like a batter hitting a homerun.

  15. Nah, that's a normal class made by Borg.

Scorpion proofs it, we saw that ship again when 7 of 9 was talking about a mine, that is launched by that ship.

The tiny dot beside it is the mine, the big pic is the ship.
