  1. Any of you have that problem where tactfulness seemed to pass you by? Anyone ever say something you seriously regretted, when had you just thought, you would have said it more tactfully or not said it at all? I know that I have the "bluntness disease" and it manifests itself in some way every day. Any ideas about how to cure this thing?

  2. You raise an extremely good point. I wish it could be made into a movie too. The Enterprise B had what, eight or so minutes of on-screen time [in Generations] so it is not like it is unreasonable. Besides, then the Tomed incident would be explained in a [hopefully] clear and cannonical way.

  3. I sometimes browse for music on MSN media and half the stuff you click on is not at all what it says. It will say it is, for example, Ordinary Day by Vanessa Carlton, but it will be some weird thirty-second track with someone rapping. So far, nothing really bad has happened with that, but you have to browse about five pages to get two real songs. Another thing- I used to have AIM, but it totally ruined my computer (cookies and stuff I got off their websites unintentionally), and we ended up having to buy a whole new computer.

  4. No offense, but that is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. I hate stuffed animals. Even when I was a baby, I hated them. To those of you who like them, more power to you, but they are a waste of money. I own real animals, right Coconut, you cute little Maltese? (She is sitting at my feet as I type).

  5. That depends on what you mean by "good role." He is a main character, yes, and has a "key" role. But by good... for example, I would have to say no because I disagree with the part he played in the plot, but I know that many would approve very much. These are just different viewpoints as to whether it is "good" or "bad." Does this help?

  6. Seven people so far have unanimously said Spock. Hmmm, we do not get out much, do we? I have seen Leonard Nimoy in a few other films, mainly because I specifically looks for films with him, but he could still never compare to Spock.

  7. This is based on the poll for Mrs. Picard in the TNG forum, only this one is for QSMB and me! Personally, I choose Spock. See reasons in the Jean-Luc Picard/Patrick Steward post in TNG.

  8. I must JLP... I know next to nothing about Patrick Steward and really, I care about the actual characters more than the actors who play them. To me, the actors are merely an approximation of the wonder of the real characters.

LOL- now someone needs to make one in the TOS forum for QSMB and I: Leonard Nimoy or Spock!

  9. Has anyone ::coughwelfconfedcough:: read Serpents Among the Ruins? It takes an extremely fascinating angle on the Tomed Incident of 2311. I cannot say anything more for those of you who have not read it, but I thought it might work to open some new discussion. This forum has gotten rather stale in last two months and Welfconfed and I were talking about how we need some new topics. If you have not read it, I strongly suggest it. It is stand-alone and an excellent one for Romulan lovers. Then come back to this thread!

  10. Beam me up, Scotty... oh wait, wrong conversation. LOL

Here is mine: you raise your hand in class and add a contribution to the topic the teacher is discussing using an example from Star Trek. I actually mentioned STF once when I raised my hand in science to respond to something about perpetual motion. For most people, that cemented my total geekiness. For me, it was a score for geeks and Trekkies everything, because the teacher loved it!

You go girl. Show those normals who's boss!

    Thanks!

  11. I may try... I like to keep an open mind about all options, even the bad. Makes no sense, of course. But for now, I am one of those drawing that is half a "light" person smiling and half a "dark" person frowning. I am still serious and introspective right now, but it is hard to stay miserable with all the hilarity on this site. LMAO
