  1. in STVI THE UNDISCOVERED COUNTRY the klingon home world was on the verge of distruction due to the destruction of their moon, right. so after the movie, and in all episodes following, what happened to the klingon home world? did they ALL RELOCATE, or did they come to another solution?

SO I GUESS THE QUESTION IS, WHAT HAPPENED TO THE KLINGONS?

  2. this is a great movie, and i agree, after seeing STV THE FINAL FRONTIER, i thought egh, what a way to end it, then they came out with VI THE UNDISCOVERED COUNTRY. now that was a great movie, and a great way to end the TOS run, i was a little disapointed in the passing of the torch though, i thought GENERATIONS couldve been a whole lot better. but me being me i still liked it.

but now you make me think of an interesting question, ill post a new topic on that.

  3. I CANT BELEIVE YOU DID THAT TO US. after all the talk, especially the soong sisters, of wanting DATA BACK, then you pull something like that. lol, it was a good one, but paybacks are a b***h ya know. im sure the soong girls are thinking something up right now. :innocent: keep up the good work.

  4. i should be in posesion of NEMESIS in less than 24 hours. yeah. then i still need to buy seven more movies to have them all on dvd. up to now i have them all but only two on dvd. i cant stand vhs anymore, especially since the one time i went to watch SNEAKERS(great movie with robert redford, sydney poitier, river pheonix, and dan akroyd, and some others), anyway i popped it in and the sound was so bad i couldnt stand it, it had a buzz through the entire movie, so i had to go get it on dvd.

    DVD RULES

  5. I think those kind of sterotypes generally emerge from the movies / TV industry.  I don't believe in those kind of sterotypes, and anyone who is, is actually kind of dum themselves!

here, here, anyone that beleives tv stereotypes, just became one themselves

  6. As most people will probably say, I didn't exactly like the Ferengi at first, but with Quark and all the other Ferengi, my view has completely changed. I love 'em!  :innocent:

About the same here. I never liked the Ferengi as featured on TNG, Voy or Ent. I loved the DS9 Ferengi, though. The DS9 writers were great at giving them some depth, and differing ideas. Which unfortunately is rare, beyond humans, in a lot of Trek species.

when were the ferengi on ENTERPRISE? i must of missed it. any way i like quark, rom , and nog, they were great, and had good humor, and the perfect amount of greed to be funny. but i never gave them much thought till DS9.

  7. It was ST VI the Undiscovered Country

as Colonel Worf.  He defended Kirk & McCoy when they were on trial for the assassination of Chancellor Gorkon

Gorkon was played by David Warner who allso played St. John Talbot in ST V & Gul Madred in TNG episode

    Chain of Command pt2

now i remember the scene. you people are good. i bow to your collective startrek greatness.

    :laugh::laugh::bow::laugh::laugh::laugh::hand: :P :) :bow::bow::bow::bow:;)

  8. They just said they were going to change the intro - I don't know if they mean the music or the visual.  For all we know they're going to a totally different kind of theme - not necessarily orchestral.  That's why we have the mute button if we don't like it.

One of the reasons i still don't think it should be replaced is that that apart from the fact that it is an amazing song that is perfect and wonderful and brilliantly appropriate, it has already been established for 2 seasons and is like a calling card for the show. People hear the music and think 'Enterprise', but if they completely change it the show will lose a part of its identity. If it had been changed between the pilot and the next episode it wouldn't have mattered as it hadn't been around long enough to make its mark on us, but they have left it too long now. It HAS made its mark now and we love the theme (well most of us) and have grown attached to it and its originality. A remix might be acceptable, but a complete over-haul is not.

i totally agree, i was in a store one time and heard the song. that was the first time i heard the whole thing, and of course the first thing that popped into my head was ENTERPRISE. why would they want to change that now.

  9. Really interesting character.  Good ole' southern boy on the outside, but on the inside?  There's a lot more going on there than we've gotten to see, yet.  I'm really looking forward to watching his growth.

    I agree!

What's wrong with being a Southerner on the inside?

i dont think they meant anything bad by that. im sure they were just saying on the inside hes more than just a good 'ol southern boy, as a good thing, not saying anything bad about southern boys.

i would have to say there is more to him than just meets the eye.

  10. i've never really associated southern accents with being a little dim. heck i wanna live in the south. got family in the south, but i will admit that with a certain look, and that accent, redneck comes to mind. but i know thats not true with all of anything. we all have varied people in our states.

  11. i downloaded the whole song from bearshare before, its great, i put it on a couple of cds. its a GREAT SONG and as i've said all along, it is SO FITTING for our first adventure into space. even in daily life, its so inspiring. you cant get anywhere, or accomplish anything, in this world without a little faitn in something. also faith in yourself to do what you need to do. no one else is gonna do it for ya. if you felt nothing then how are things gonna be done. we all need a little faith, in GOD, in FRIENDS, in FAMILY, and lastly, but certainly not least, in YOURSELF.

IVE GOT FAITH, DO YOU GOT FAITH?

keep the song pllleeeaaasssseeee, to the powers that be.

  12. Thank you; cptwright,  ddillard, Takara_Soong, and Takara, I don’t see why not. By that time the B4 would have incorporated all of Data’s memories, he could behave exactly as Data by then.

your welcome i like to give credit where its due

  13. I had always thought of Jadzia Dax as my favorite.  But now I am not so sure.  I have been downloading more and more of the DS9 Episodes lately, some I had seen but most I had not.  Now I seem to have a new favorite after each episode that I see....

what, are you downloading from kazaa or somwhere else?
