  1. eeeeeeeeeee, brain pain. :) i get what your saying, and i love babylon 5 great show, i know to which you are refering as well. but in this episode, they had to go back to fix what mccoy changed, they witnessed a change in their timeline, all they had to do was make sure mccoy didnt interfere, and save her, instead of actually doing something. so i dont know what you are saying makes sense in a way, but i dont know if it applies all the time.

  2. Ok, just completed posting todays promotions... now it's time to watch The Expanse   :)  :)

VBG, you are the man, thanks to you ive found bit torrents, and ktrek helped me even more, :) thus i just finished watching the expanse.

    Click for Spoiler:

EXCELLENT, i cant wait till next season. we saw more klingon action in this episode, along with the souliban, and learned about photon torpedos. in regards to someones statement about yeild with a photon torpedo, they are adjustable yeilds, ranging from knocking something off a shuttlepod without scratching it, to a 3 kilometer hole in a astroid. seeing how the souliban are involved, watch it you'll find out how, im thinking there maybe something to what someone said about the temporal cold war. if this episode is any indication of next season, BRING IT ON, I CANT WAIT.

I GIVE THIS EPISODE A 9.5/10 ALWAYS ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT NO MATTER WHAT THE SHOW. :)

  3. PC sucks, its gotten so bad you cant do or say anything anymore, i also am guilty of the gender nuetral, HEY GUYS, or some such thing. when not being used to insult someone i just dont understand the reaction from some people about such things. there is no REAL gender neutral word, like HEY GUYRLS. lol :) so whats the problem.

  4. i went with t'pol, seven is also drool worthy, :) as are many of the choices. i liked jadzia too, but ezri, ooooo, did i get a picture of that off the internet, of course i cant put it here, but if you ever see me on aim, just ask ill send it to you. wowowowowow. :) :) :)

  5. I don't think it should be changed, just because it characterizes so much of the theme of the show.

First of all, the song, in itself, is a big departure from previous Trek incarnations.  This one has words and this one's not showing breathtaking images of the ship (or station in DS9's case) coasting through space.  But that's what Enterprise is about.  The setting takes place before any other Trek.  No rules have been established, Archer has nothing to go on, and it's going to be different.  This difference is established right from the start with the theme song.  But, at the end, it does have the Enterprise warping out into space... much like the other theme songs.  This is just a reminder that even though Enterprise is different, it's still Star Trek, and there are some traditions that you just don't break.

Secondly, the words and the montage that goes along with the song are very appropriate.  "It's been a long road..."  It certainly has.  "They're not gonna' hold me down no more, no they're not gonna' change my mind."  Nobody can hold Archer back, now.  He's going to go out there and no one, not Starfleet, not the Vulcans, not the Klingons... nobody is going to make him turn back.  The pictures are great, each showing a pioneering step in exploration.  Showing some shimps named Enterprise and pretty much creating a time line... showing how much and how long it took to get to where they are now, exactly what the song is emphasizing.

And lastly... you can sing along with it!  There are times where I just want to sing a Star Trek theme, but I can't because they don't have words.  I end up just humming.  Now I can randomly burst out into song!  "Faith, of the heart!"  Every time I watch the show, I sing along with the lyrics.  (My sister provides wonderful background vocals.)  And we have a general good time.

This song always puts me into the mood of what Enterprise is about, and to change it would be a shame.

I DONT HAVE ANY CLAPPING HANDS BUT PICTURE ME CLAPPING. WOW, YOU PUT THAT GREAT.

  6. When I saw this movie at the theaters the first thing that stuck out to me during the opening sequence was how beautiful the Jerry Goldsmith score was. I enjoyed the movie overall but did not really LOVE the movie. Of course being the Trekker that I am I had to buy it when it came out on DVD. Having seen the movie 6 or 7 times now I have come to appreciate it much more than I did upon first viewing. It's not the strongest Star Trek film but it's up there in the top 10  :) LOL.... I kill myself!..... Anyway, if you didn't like this movie at first viewing I suggest giving it a chance and revisiting it. It has all the classic Star Trek elements.

    Ktrek

yes, im with him, the more you watch it the better it gets.

  7. I agree, I don't know where to start on the loose ends of VGR, it's always seemed like they just got to the seventh season and stopped, they really needed another year to wind it down.

As far DS9, the only one I have is Sisko.

i agree wholly, voyager ended way too fast to tie up loose ends, i would love to see a tv movie to see what happened afterwards. and i dont even like the show that much.

  8. Thanks, guys.  I really appreciate it.

Course, now I've got to go take a migrane pill.  ;)  ;)  :innocent:

yeah, that usually happens with these kinds of questions. MIGRANEVILLE. ;) i only brouse through what the brains say, as to avoid the brainpain. ;) to the brains, of this board, i bow to your greatness.;););)

  9. im sure theres different languages on the different planets, but between the ut, and the fact that your dealing with a certain part of whatever planet, it seems to only have one language, but im sure thats not the case.

  10. As most people will probably say, I didn't exactly like the Ferengi at first, but with Quark and all the other Ferengi, my view has completely changed. I love 'em!  :innocent:

About the same here. I never liked the Ferengi as featured on TNG, Voy or Ent. I loved the DS9 Ferengi, though. The DS9 writers were great at giving them some depth, and differing ideas. Which unfortunately is rare, beyond humans, in a lot of Trek species.

when were the ferengi on ENTERPRISE? i must of missed it. any way i like quark, rom , and nog, they were great, and had good humor, and the perfect amount of greed to be funny. but i never gave them much thought till DS9.

It was in the first season episode Acquisition The Ferengi weren't named though so there were no problems with the time line.

ok i remember now, i forgot all about that one. it was an alright episode.

  11. i should be in posesion of NEMESIS in less than 24 hours. yeah. then i still need to buy seven more movies to have them all on dvd. up to now i have them all but only two on dvd. i cant stand vhs anymore, especially since the one time i went to watch SNEAKERS(great movie with robert redford, sydney poitier, river pheonix, and dan akroyd, and some others), anyway i popped it in and the sound was so bad i couldnt stand it, it had a buzz through the entire movie, so i had to go get it on dvd.

    DVD RULES

Dude I love Sneakers! It's one of those movies that falls in the "one of my favorite films that no body I know has ever seen" catogory. I've been thinking about buying it on DVD actually.

same here most people i know, havent ever heard of it, but yeah its one of my favorites, i can watch it over and over again.

  12. I don't know about insomnia but my planning and housework is always on the back burner due to this site!  Oh well....!

I'm always glad to see other people who have their priorities in the correct order too!! :innocent:

YES, having your priorities in order is an important thing to do. after all im supposed to be in the basement right now, cleaning up and getting the garage sale stuff all together. oops ;)

  13. NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NOOOOOOO!!!!!!! I strongly object. It is getting to the point now where it's like we can just push anything into Enterprise, from other shows just because it CAN be done. How is Enterprise ever going to establish it's own identity and gather it's own sense of originality when it is being a junk yard for things from other shows. I can't understand why so many people want to sacrifice it's independence with these ridiculous links from other shows. Just because it CAN be done doesn't mean it SHOULD be done. We have already had Vulcans, Klingons, Andorians, Tribbles, Tholians, Tellarites, Borg, Ferengi and talk of Sarek and William Shatner. This is all just old hat. Now if Guinan were to pop up as well worked into a scipt some how I just think that it would nucleat the Star Trek universe and make it far far too small. It's a big galaxy - we dont need any more left overs dumped on the show, for the sake of originality and style. There's the odd clever link and then there's this tacky idea.

i understand what your saying, but im not talking about sacrificing originality, but just to learn more about things and people that were in the other episodes. as far as a small universe, because we've seen familiar aliens, think about it, this is THE FIRST MISSION, into space, their gonna run into the aliens we've already seen, but this shows how we ran into them, and what happened, its still original. but now its just descriptive too. i'll admit i wasnt big on the borg, but after watching it, it wasnt bad, i enjoyed it. you can see familiar things, with still an original storyline. IMO. but were all entitled to our own opinion. :innocent:
