  1. Okay.I found these at www.ex-astris-scientia.org.

I really like the Lincoln-class,as I've always been partial to the spherical hull design of the old Daedalus-class starships.Might have been nice to see a larger variety of ships on TOS.Maybe we would have, had TOS lasted a few more seasons.

  2. I must be sitting here half-asleep,I thought the topic was favorite female wrestler...I should've known better,I think I already replied to this.Guess I'd better go to bed before I start sleeping behind the computer monitor.I already spend too much time there as is.

Goodnight (or,goodmorning depending on your preference)

  3. Excellent design! :P

It's even better than the TOS Enterprise. PLEASE don't let it be the last one! :P

Well, what I meant was that the Antares is the last good TOS-era design I know of.The rest either look too much like Constitution-class ships,or are too ugly to post :P

I might post some TOS movie-era stuff,or some post-Nemesis and non-Federation star trek ships.

wow...those Antares pics are HUGE...they weren't half as large at the site I found them at.Hmm.

  4. This is the last good TOS-era design I'm going to post. It's one possible version of the Federation starship Antares, destroyed by Charlie X in the TOS episode "Charlie X".

I really, really like the look of this design. In fact,I like it almost as much as the Enterprise herself (though,I'll never say that around Scotty).

  5. Cards Win!!!

    Cardinals 17 Bengals 14

Congratulations.Coach Mac must have lit a fire under some $#@! during the bye-week.Two wins in a row.

Better buy a box of kleanex for next week.Pittsburgh's playing Arizona.Your boys in red won't beat Pittsburgh. ;)

(but then again,I told you your boys wouldn't beat Cincy, didn't I?)

  6. Uhura.

She wasn't the typical TOS female crewman, prone to hysterics at the first sign of danger. She was intelligent, adventurous, beautiful, and equal to any of the male characters on the bridge.I admired her (and Gene),especially for challenging the racial bigotry and racial stereotyping of the 1960's United States. It must have really been something for little black children to watch Star Trek and see Uhura, and Dr.M'Benga, and many no-name black characters working alongside and being the equal to their white crewmates.

  7. I enjoyed the majority of TOS's episodes, including the one's featuring nearly omnipotent beings(always thought The Squire of Gothos was a Q) ...anyway,I'm sure if TOS had survived and filmed 1,2,or 3 more seasons,we would have seen more episodes with klingons, and shows set on Earth (at some point). It seemed as if every TOS episode had a moral,or at least made a statement about some aspect of humanity.I didn't always agree with the show's statements,or messages, but it was interesting. The newer Trek shows have sort of gotten away from that a little.

  8. The past two weekends have really confused things for me as far as which teams will be playoff bound this year.I really think Minnesota's loss to the Giants was some odd, otherworldly incident that won't happen again.Kansas City is still playing great offensive ball, but their D allows too many points to be scored against them...that may hurt them as the season progresses.

    These are likely Superbowl match-ups,IMO:

    Minnesota Vs Kansas City

Minnesota Vs Tennessee (A lot depends on George producing bigger numbers)

Minnesota Vs New England (not likely, but not out of the question, either)

Minnesota Vs Miami (if Griese keeps playing like he did Monday)

St.Louis Vs (any of the above AFC teams)

Tampa Bay Vs (any of the above AFC teams) *I don't see the Bucs repeating.

  9. I would have loved to see the drednought class ship from the book drednought.  I know that the books are not cannon but the ship was powerfull and they had a pic of it on the cover of the book I would have loved to see kirk in comand of the uss star empire.

Here are three views of a TOS Dreadnought.
