The first 2 Batman movies were good; the others were butchered. I find the new comic movies coming out these days to be better. X men for example... or is that because Patrick is in it?

I'd surmise that they do have a boot camp. It seems to me that Nog dealt with something of the sort. And yes, Starfleet is a military organization, but one with values that better represent the 24th century Earth.

Spider Man: Venom Factor... no way, I read that book 7 years ago. I thought it was great. Right not I'm not really reading anything. Perhaps a trip to the library is in order.

I thought T'Pol looked quite good in her uniform in the 1st two seasons. So I say, keep the catsuit. But I keep an open mind. What she wears in the next season could still be good or even better. I doubt it will look worse. It seems that the taste in clothing only gets better over the years on star trek. Look at the Enterprise and Movie uniforms. No more TOS pajamas!

Hey everyone. Rpg's can be alot of fun, but at this snail speed it might take a while for things to get interesting. So start getting into character! And if you don't already have one, why not go get one. There are lots of DS9 characters available... side characters mostly, but those can be great. For the ladies, Ezri is available. Woo hoo! K, hope to see you there. -
I just spent 2 hours making an avatar with an image of myself in it. I used the picture of Bashir in the lift on DS9 found within the base archive of avatars. I had to use paint for the whole thing. Cutting out a picture of my face and putting it on the Bashir pic was TOUGH. I had to touch up the background and everything. The neck is completely drawn. On top of that I had to change the blue on the uniform to red and add 2 rank pips. AHHH! Then I realized I hated the overall color of the background. I guess I could go erase the background but I've had enough of Windows Paint for one night.

Really! I'm going to be a cop but I'm never gonna be a cop that gives $70+ tickets for a dirty car. Maybe you should fight the ticket in court. Chances are the cop wont show up and you'll automatically win the case. Case closed. -
Yes that does seem a little bizarre but I would have to see the episode again to really know what your are talking about. It's been awhile since I've seen that one.

Remember Spock is half human. He can understand or at least predict the emotions of humans and thus he would understand the role that human emotions are playing in the stock market. You combine that with his logical super powers and boom, Spock would be a market tycoon.

The TOS movies were the best by far. I loved how some of the movies had an arc between them much like a series of DS9 episodes... Spock dies... they bring him back, then they use the klingon ship to save the future. Great stuff.

Yeha the man MUST be a good captain, afterall, the profits choose him!

So, Mind melds are considered a taboo in Enterprise. I'm hoping that by the end of Enterprise that stigma is changed. I'm sure the writters made it this way for that very purpose. Frankly I can't wait to see T'pol get in the "mind" stuff. She never did see to be as logical as the other Vulcans. So it would seem logical to me that she ignore the stigma especailly now that she wont really be answering to her superiors while she is in the expanse. I'm a rambling? Ah well, bring back the mind meld.

That would be insanely cool... but you'd probably need a good computer to handle it. Well, we always have themes... I guess that will have to do... until the 24th century.

It was nice to see the Star Trek equivalent of the "rat pack strut" on the promenade there. Good video!
P.s. go porthos!

So far the results show that most people don't like it. SUre, this isn't a scientific poll but it makes you wonder if the people at Startrek.com did their research.

I know that just about everyone that comes here must love star trek, so I ended up wondering how much Star Trek you people actually watch. Where I live there is so much Star Trek on it's almost hard not to watch at least one episode a day... if not 5! Sometimes I don't watch it all that much, and sometimes I watch alot... it just depends on what I have going on in my life at the time. On average I'd say I watch maybe 3 a week. Lots in the summer, and only Enterprise during school (no time for reruns then)

Although it has only been a short time since the Doctor cured Ensign Kim with a hypospray of modified Borg nanoprobes, Harry already feels enthusiastic about an away team opportunity. Before Janeway even responds to Chakotay's inquiry to sending an away team, Kim interrupts, sounding anxious in his request:
"Captain, I know I was barely alive after returning from the last away mission, but I'd like to volunteer for this mission"
While awaiting the response, Kim worries to himself, I hope Species 8472 isn't over there.

Sure, you'd be separated from friends and family. While you wouldn't be able to make up for the family... that requires a blood line, you could make up for the friends which can, in time, beccome almost as good as family. I think Harry Kim proved that with his speech in the last epi!.

Well, I'd have to say that Seven would win. B'elana would fight with too much anger and get careless. Seven would be efficient and phaser her Klingon butt! (on stun of course)

Ah, I couldn't stand Kai Winn, she was so self contrived. Well okay, maybe Dukat was too, but he was fun to have around. The only time I ever liked Kai Winns character was in the last 10 episode stint when she and Dukat were plotting together.

I was torn between Jadzia and Ezri but I finally decided to go with Ezri because she would be a little easier to interact with. She is just a little more innocent and sometimes gets confused with things like most of us do. It would just make it easier to relate to her. Jadzia would just offer a quip of wisdom, make a quick flirt and leave you hanging! jk.

We probably never really see the other changlings for just that reason, they are changlings. Any species that evolves to such a state most likely would have done so because disguising themselves would have made them more likely to survive. (darwinian theory) According to this, it would be logical to assume that they naturally hide their true nature from "solids". Well, thats the way I see it, I suppose there could be other explanations.

Yes I am certain it WAS true. TNN was to become the home of trek to include all the series (everything but TOS and ENT). Even thought it is becoming a first network for men, these shows should still appear in the future because I doubt they can break the contract without severe penalties.
-
Yes, the earlier episodes were something quite different. I imagine it is because the show is more character driven that other ST's and thus the characters evolved substantially more which makes them seem oddly different when you go back to the beggining.

During all the big battles in DS9 we never saw the Enterprise. But we weren't watching every battalion. Sisko was usually leading a group of ships. The Enterprise, since it is a flagship was probably doing the same. Therfore, to show us the Enterprise, you'd have to leave Sisko's fighting area.
