  1. It would be a rehash of the trasporter accident, but it wouldn't be a rehash of story, becuase I severely doubt Porthlox would be very civilized. Imagine a dog with the ability to speak, and the ability like with a tounge like Phlox's... Anywho, if they did do something like that, I would hope the problem gets sovlved in a different way than with Tuvix

  2. Kim, relieved to see the Doctor responded with enthusiasm, an amazing feat considering the situation.

    "Doc, am I glad to see you. Have you seen Chakotay or Seven?"

    Then Harry's face cringed indicating discomfort, "Doc, I think they injected me with somthing. I'm not sure what it was; I was half unconcious at the time.

  3. Like a wave moving outward from the point at which a stone strikes a pond, the crowd dispersed. Within moments, aliens with some authority had surrounded Kim.

    "My name is Lydar, I am the 1st General for this district. Identify yourself!" the alien officer announced with a deep throaty voice, like that of a Klingon.

    Acting in cooperation, Harry decided to tell them who he was and what had happened. "My name is Harry Kim, i'm a Starfleet officer, an explorer. My away team was inside an artificial environment on board a ship . The particle synthesis de-stabilized. Then I found myself here. Do you know where my awa-"

    The tall commanding alien cut Harry off and grew wicked in his expression. His dog like ears flattened to his skull. Then he spoke with triumph, "You, you are one of them! We thought the virus would eliminate the invaders at their point of origin: their ship. You are brave to come through your gateway without your cloaking devices, your shields, and your plasma weapons. You are also foolish!"

    Lydar began to howl like a werewolf under a full moon. He snapped his head to the officer at his left. "Commander-General, take the invader away and put him into confinement. I'll want to interrogate him very shortly." Lydar growled deeply for a moment then continued, "and make sure to locate his invasion team as well!."

    The entire time Lydar accused Harry of being an invader, Harry had tried to speak, but fear was stopping him. He could see that these people were fierce, and warrior like. There were all sorts of knives and hand to hand combat weapons attached to their clothing. Their claws and teeth looked dagger sharp. Harry almost wished to be back in sickbay infected by Species 8472. He now wished he hadn't been so eager to join the away mission, and he also wished that it wouldn't be his last.

  4. Here is a general equation that gives 12 for an x of 1.

    n = 12[3^x - {(2)(3^x-1)}]

    note:

    (3^x-1) is NOT (3^x)-1

    (3^x-1) IS 3 to the exponent (x-1)

    SUB IN 1 FOR x

    12 = 12[3^1-{(2)(3^1-1)}]

    12 = 12[3 - {(2)(3^0)}]

    12 = 12[3 - {(2)(1)}]

    12 = 12[3 - 2]

    12 = 12[1]

    12 = 12

    SUB IN 3 FOR x

    108 = 12[3^3 - {(2)(3^3-1)}]

    108 = 12[27 - {(2)(3^2)}]

    108 = 12[27 - {(2)(9)}]

    108 = 12[27 - 18]

    108 = 12[9]

    108 = 108

  5. Did you want their names in abc order? And are we supposed to be answering on the forum like unicorn did? If so, click the spoiler! Ouch, I just found the rules... so I've come back to edit. I put in to answers because I didn't know I couldn't. Now there is just one!

  6. Harry scrolled his eyes along the tricorder display to learn more about where they were.

    "It seems that this environment isn't natural. It seems to be some kind of advanced particle synthesis" Harry noted to nobody in particular.

    After an assortment of warnings from the scanning device, Harry realized that the particle synthesis was de-stabilizing. Harry could feel the away teams eyes fixed upon him, and ears listening for his report on the discovery, but Kim didn't have time to heed any warning to them.

    A brilliantly coloured visual distortion filled Kim's view of the eco-system, which was then followed by a deep sense of disorientation. Kim, now on the ground, pulled himself up to his feet by grabbing on to a nearby tree.

    "A purple tree", he said with amazement with his left eyebrow slightly raised, in a manner somewhat similar to Tuvok's. Harry laughed to himself, then his eyes grew wide. The away team was not by his side. His surroundings had completely changed. He was no longer at the end of a grassy field with two mountains in the distance. He was in the middle of a vast city with strange aliens surrounding him with curiosity. Where had the away team gone, were they still standing in the grassy field with the body, Kim mused to himself.

    "Kim to away team" he said with moderate urgency. There was no response.

    "Kim to Voyager" he said with increased alarm. Again, no response. He was a lone Starfleet officer at the mercy of the aliens.

  7. I was thinking about choosing Khan. That is my favorite Star Trek movie. Nemesis was not the best Star Trek movie out there, but I think the villian from Nem was fabulous. There is no other villian that could "hurt" Picard so seriously. Picard is a man of great pride. To see another version of himself be so destructive is brilliant. To bad the rest of the movie wasn't brilliant.

  8. Yeah, feel free to continue with the "did you notice..." things. I would sugest not putting them into a large array of spoilers. Just a little too much clicking for my likeing. Good observations! Scotts acting was VERY convincing. I think he is a talented actor. I also find that Archer is alot different from his old tv role of Sam Becket. He will never by type casted by me!

  9. Indy, those are all great ones there! I can't think of the great ones myself right now, but a few decent ones come to mind.

    Both are from Star Trek First Contact and were both made by Worf. "Assimilate this" and also his reply to "The Defiants a tough little ship".... he said "Little?" It really wasn't so much what he said as how he said it.

    Oh, and I also liked Geordi's line "I'm not detecting any leak"

  10. Today was incredible. My day, at first, was mundane. But then the Scott Bakula chat started on startrek.com!

    I joined the chat and had the incredible fortune of having Scott Bakula answer my question!

    Be sure to check out the official transcript when it becomes available @ startrek.com. Look for my question in it. My name in the chat was Captain_Tim_Bolivar.

    I have the same thing in my first personal log but I also tried to add a picture of a printed screen of the actual chat. I didn't work, but perhaps VBG can help me out. Anywho, below is our little chat.

    Transcript of our chat!

    Captain_Tim_Bolivar: Hi Scott, I thought "Anomaly" was a truly great episode for your character. I especially loved his dark side that surfaced in that episode. How did you feel about Archer's position on putting the Osarian into the decompression chamber to get information out of him that might help save everyone on Earth?

    Scott Bakula: Well, first of all, in terms of what the character was going to do, we don't really know because the air didn't run out and he didn't die. Wheather or not Archer would have let that happen is an element of the character that I hope is intriguing and exciting for the fans, as do the writers. We're definately pushing the envelope in all espects of the show this year. I think it's important that Archer leads the way. When you're playing a character and the audience isn't sure what that character's going to do, then the writers have succeeded in making good television.

  11. Mine melds would be useless to me most of the time because the risks wouldn't often outweigh the benifits. The neck pinch would be great though. I plan on being a police officer someday, and a neck pinch would be perfect in mayn situations. It causes no damage to a persons body, requires very little force, and is very effective in gaining control over someone. It would hold up in court almost all the time.

  12. Ok, remember the giant Dyson sphere that Scotty was found on by the Enterprise D? When I first saw the metallic globe in Enterprise tonight I immediately thought of that. Obviously there are BIG differences between the two, but I wonder if they could be related? They did say it was made out the same materials as the Osarian ship and the Osarians did use it for their purposes so I doubt it, but still...

  13. Anomaly, the second episode of season 3 wasn't at all what I expected....

    Click for Spoiler:

    The name inferes anomalies, but the episode is a fast paced action episode.

    The episdoe was exciting, but what made it good was the darker side to Archer. Sticking the Osarian in the decompression airlock was something I've wanted to see. I don't want Archer to be unethical, but as we all know, the lives of everyone on Earth are at stake. I felt that the airlock scene ephasized these risks. Great character development.

  14. I was suprised that more ppl like Bones over Jim! For me it was a hard choice really. I think Jim, Spock, and the Doc are all just as important. They form a fantastic "triangle" bond. Bones was funny, and real, Spock was very original for an alien during the 70's. I give Nimoy much credit and tahnks for developing the character the way he did. And Kirk, we'll I just lke they his character is! I chosse Kirk cause he is the most highlighted of the 3... he was the captain/admiral afterall! Props to every character on the show!
