  1. This episode deserves a 10 and no less....

    Click for Spoiler:

WOW...that was an amazing episode. During Archer's speech, he hinted that the crew should could continue exploration when all this is over (hint, hint - season 4) Hopefully, they will build upon the formation of the federation as this episode introduced that concept to Archer.

I liked how T'Pol lost it...that added to her character depth.

And Travis got screen time!! Did a fine job with it too. I'm starting to admire his acting abilities now that we are actually getting to see them.

Guess the upcoming episode called "Damage" is named so rightfully. Wow..the Enterprise was getting laid into by the Xindi ships.

Man, this episode was over before it started and left me yelling at the TV

    "What, thats it!?!?! NOOOOOO!!!"

Ok..it wasn't like that...but thats how it felt. Great episode. Enterprise is proving to be the best ST yet.

I guess I can focus on other things for 7 weeks instead of Enterprise. Won't be easy though. Great episode to end with. I have noted that as Season 3 has progressed...I have increased my vote to 10 a couple of times.

  2. I'll give it an 8.0 outta 10. It was ok, but...

    Click for Spoiler:

It was just to obvious that the attack by the egg caused the mutiny -- I spent the rest of the episode -- roughly 30 minutes -- not surprised at all. It was like "ok...I know whats causing Archer's strange behaviour..." And it seemed like the crew was TOO hesitant to resist his orders. That annoyed me. I like the still existing tension between Reed/Hayes. Also liked the renewance of Trip/Archer friendship a little more. With that said...it was mildly entertaining.

Shheewww...are we there yet??? (Azati Prime)

  3. CJLP -- I feel no need to rehash the arguments about Nemesis. Especially about the ending. Its just that after watching TNG from start to finish, I (like many others) were disappointed about how the characters were pushed into a quick ending.

It was an unjust ending to the fans who had spent so much time with the TNG crew. I like most ST films/episodes -- but I should not have left the theater thinking things like "that was a joke right?" ;)

  4. I will never NEVER forgive the producers for the ending. It was the most unimaginative, cheaply done, and rushed $()*#!! I've ever seen.

Yes, I almost refuse to acknowledge that Nemisis exists as part of the Star Trek franchise and that it was only some sick little side show of What Ifs.

  5. Perhaps I'm easily entertained...but the episode is over and I do believe that I enjoyed it. I'll give it a 8.0 out of 10 -- Probably higher than it deserves.

    Click for Spoiler:

"I'm a physician, not an engineer!" - Of course, the entire thing was rather unbelievable. I don't think Archer would have put the entire crew in a coma -- especially in the Expanse. After encountering the Suliban and how they use transportation -- it just wouldn't be safe to leave the ship without watch. But I guess we needed a plot (er some kind of plot) this week. Phlox was great and Porthos was almost toast.

  6. You can attain new episodes early through P2P networks and file-sharing databases. That is how they've seen it. It hasn't been broadcast nationally yet...not for another 44 minutes on the eastern seaboard of the States.

I expect this episode to not be in the TOP great episodes. I'll go into it with an open perspective and report my findings after viewing. Doctor episodes usually act as fillers. I like Phlox however... lets see if he puts on a good show.

  7. ENTERPRISE BASHING!?!? Up until a couple of days ago...I had never seen the word "BASHING" on this board. Nor do I care to see it!!! Everyone has an opinion and they should be allowed to state it, but in respectable terms only.

Whats up with all this negativitiy??? And all of this "cancelation" business and the end of ST? If you people have ever learned one thing from watching Star Trek.... you should know better.

  8. First question, perhaps some of our military personnel can answer this.  Can Sr. officers fraternize with enlisted personnel if they are from a different service.  Trip defended his relationship with Cpl. Cole because she wasn't Star Fleet.  She was however in a unit assigned to the Enterprise and all were under Capt Archer's command. How does that work in joint operations?

The scene where they shooting the moving target - wasn't a similar scene done in season one where Hoshi was certifying on the new weapons.

Does everyone on a starship regardless of their duties know everything there is to know about warp engines?  So Reed can tell Hayes to turn a certain valve and he knows right where it is?  It does make sense that everyone going in to space (Star Fleet) should have mulidisciplinary training but where did Hayes get his?

I'm not so sure about the fraternization policy, so I'll leave that to an expert.

Yes, there was a scene with Reed and Hoshi using those weapons and almost the same program in an earlier season. I forgot which episode...help!

Yes, I was quite bothered that Reed knows how to play with the warp engine and that Hayes can find valves so quick. Maybe that is because it makes it seem like anyone can do Trip's job. Who's next?? Hoshi??

  9. In my mind, Trek can do no wrong. After several more seasons of Enterprise, I hope we go and visit the 24th century again or a later time period. No matter what period it takes place in, it will always invoke a good vision of the future.

  10. Who thinks Archer is gullible? I mean he actually believed the alien was there involuntarily!!! He also didn't think about why someone would put a pod near gravimetric distortions!!! I mean you could figure that out without having to ask him or bring him on the ship.....

The writers have instilled this "good by nature" element into Archer. It seems that the expanse should have made him a little more on edge. So you have a valid point. The alien deal from "harbinger" sounds kinda like something he would normally have done in the 2nd season. We need some more the dark side.

I wanna see Archer get taken over by something and then turn against the crew.

    (hey...its gonna happen sometime!)

  11. I voted "0" for this one, in my view it was simply ****.

Here is my review over at TBBS.

Interesting review. However, I found it to be highly over-analytical.

Some of your points are relevant, but common...its TV. If you don't enjoy it...read a book or something.

Good episode over all. Didn't contribute much to the arc -- but that wasn't it's job.

Crew interaction episodes are always great, especially that of Malcolm and Trip.

I look forward to "Doctor's Orders."

  12. I'll give it a generous 10 mark. Excellent episode. Great acting by Degra.

    Click for Spoiler:

Interesting idea...the entire illusion of the ship, circumstances, etc. I like how they faked Degra out at the end. The ending dialogue was a bit abrupt. "And now we are off to the location of the Xindi weapon" (incorrect quoting but you get the point]. I had to keep remembering that all of this was not happening on a holodeck. Took a little bit more work to make a real ship a fake set.

So next week is the complete ship interior episode. Reed is gonna open up a can of whoop--- hopefully, instead of getting a severe MACO beatdown. Last but not least, T'Pol drops it all... :frusty: Can't wait for this next episode.

  13. I think that we the fans need to bring this really important matter the TPTB's attention.

Travis deserves more screen time. It seems that even some of the non-bridge crew ensigns get more screentime then he does.

If this does not improve beyond season 3....

I think we should start a letter writing initiative or petition, etc.

Travis may be a "less important" character in terms of rank... buts he's a reocurring cast member credited in the opener!! He hardly gets enough screen time to mentioned in the opening credits.

  14. The good ole folks over at cinescape have a "supposed insider" over at ENTERPRISE. Rumors are circulating that the Paramount heads might seek a replacement for the exec. producer. Blah..blah...rumors...

I love this show...but it sure does take a beating in the ratings arena.

I'm just hoping we make it to season 4 without having to get all of the fans involved to bring it back.
