  1. It Appears We Have A Tie This Week!

Suspect Leaves ID at Burglary Scene

    AP

BETTENDORF, Iowa (March 15) - Authorities in Iowa say a burglar left a calling card behind when he broke into an apartment.

They found a Corrections Department identification card they think the burglar used to jimmy a lock.

That led them to a former inmate, who was arrested at a Bettendorf motel. He'd been released from prison in January after serving a little over two years for burglary.

He's now accused of stealing a plastic jug containing about 400 dollars in change from the apartment.

Big Plastic jugs are hard to hide under the mattress. :mad1:

  2. I remember Arnold Skaaland well, mainly as Bruno Sammartino's manager. He was involved with the WWF for a really long time...RIP.

    - Incase you have missed it, the new WWE Magazine features a small section each month with upcoming Hall of Fame inductee Mr. Fuji where he gives his opinion of movies that are in theaters. Now an upcoming WWE Hall of Famer, Mr. Fuji works as an usher at a movie theater in his home area so his take on current movies is certainly interesting.

The great Mr. Fuji works as an usher at a movie theater??? :mad1: Thats a real shame.

Even my kids don't watch this stuff anymore.

Cmon Gummy! Let us have our fun! Just cause you and your kids don't like doesn't mean nobody else does. For your information, the wrestling shows are usually the top rated shows on the networks where they are shown. The people posting on this forum are not gullible little kids. We understand what wrestling is all about and we enjoy it for what it is. No need to diss us.

No disrespect intended. I didn't think anyone watched it anymore.

I know that even Sci-Fi shows it one night of the week (I think Thursdays).

I just didn't realize that it was still popular.

  3. Well, you're absolutely smarter than me. Math makes me crazy. I am horrible at it. And admittedly so.

As far as math goes, I'm actually only mid-level. I still have trouble with Eigenvectors and other Post-Calculus concepts. :mad1:

Already, you've left me in the dust. :)

  4. Thank you bright eyes :mad1:

    other then burning them

Can we order them from you.

    Money helps with production?

They are forbidden by law to profit from the sale of dvds. However, I'm pretty sure that they can take donations in general.

Interesting. But only if they're a non-profit type of organization, right? Wouldn't they have to be in order to accept donations?

  5. :mad1: :)

    and your point is

I wasn't trying to make any point. I just just saying that I thought she's pretty hot, is all.

No harm or insult intended, Constable.

I think what we are seeing is Odo feigning jealosy over HIS woman..... :)

That's kinda what I was thinking too. It's cute to see, isn't it?

  6. My mom liked trek no con. back then you had

    only had one tv.

    Kirk.Always called him Space Stud.

My parents never cared for Sci-Fi. I am the only Trekker in my family.

My kids were raised on it, so they love it too. My son's girlfriend is a TOS Fanatic.

She's a good girl and she's like a daughter to me.

  7. I thought that there was no end to pi. It keeps going and going ad infinitum?

You would be correct. Pi, like the natural log base 'e', φ (the Golden ratio that is to say (( a+b )/a) = (a/:mad1: = φ), √(3), and √(2) is an irrational number, that is it can not be expressed as the fraction (a/:) of two integers a and b, where b != 0 .

This is not to be confused with the complex number (of which all reals - Both rational and irrational are a subset). a + bi Where a and b are reals, and i = √(-1). For all real numbers the value of b in the complex number it is a subset of is zero.

Well, you're absolutely smarter than me. Math makes me crazy. I am horrible at it. And admittedly so.

  8. I don't have that problem, though sometimes when I stop by, the bottom of the page (right above the Start button) will say that the page is done loading, but there'll be nothing but a blank white page, no matter how long I leave it there. But when I press the Reload button, BOOM! there it is.

That too, has happened to me.

    So, you're not alone.

  9. I believe the next episode is the "Sulu" episode. I hope its better than the "Chekov" episode.

The Chekov one was disappointing. The Sulu one has got to be better.

As for burning them onto DVD for future viewing, I am not sure. I've never tried it.

  10. As i am

being 9 years old in 1966 what was not to like

space ships outer space and women in

mini skirts and go go boots :mad1:

I was eight and still had to con my parents to let me stay up to watch it.

    Which they did, albeit reluctantly.

  11. TL # 87

    TL87.gif

    StarTrek.com

    Now THAT one was funny.

I can see that actually happening in real life. :mad1:

Unfortunately, gummy, when you finally get to a Trek convention, you will notice that most of the women in skimpy clothes look more like Carl's mom than his hot chick friend................. :)

I've seen countless pics from various conventions. You're right. Some are pretty nasty. I've seen some that are wearing the TOS Female Uniform (mini-skirt) and really have no business being in it. :)

  12. The Math Whiz Kids at another board that I am a mod on were going nuts over Pi Day yesterday.

Some of the posts in the "Pi Day" thread were crazy. One actually posted the entire number for Pi. :mad1:
