  1. This episode is in the top 5 of best TOS episodes ever. Joanne Linville was absolutely wonderful in this episode. The acting in general was superb as was the storyline. As an aside, Joanne Linville has been starring in "The Gilmore Girls" for several years now if anyone is interested.

I didn't know that, but I don't watch Gilmore Girls either.

The Enterprise Incident is one of my top five faves for TOS. Great storyline.

  2. Just watched (rewatched) Redemption Part I (TNG). Great episode with strong guest star roles with the characters Kurn, the Duras sisters, Kem'pec and of course the return of Denise Crosby and more sneaky Romulans!

Definitely one of the best TNG episodes. I also like Reunification.

  3. This is a question that may not have a answer.

But i turn my computer on come to this site no problem

the longer i am online the harder it is to get here.

this is the only site that does this. have been online for 3 hours

took me 7 tries to get here.

this site is not bookmarked but in my fav's

    any explanations?

    me baffaled.

    I haven't a clue.

I have DSL and I noticed that when I do click on this (in my favorites list), it's slow in opening.

This isn't the only site that does this. All of the other Boards that I participate on are that way.

  4. A non Trek book was called "Tek War" that got turned into a short lived t.v series and William Shatner was

    in it as well.

I remember Tek Wars. Greg Evigan was in the lead role. I remember the show being on the air, but I also remember that it didn't last very long. The books themselves won numerous awards. The show didn't fare as well.

  5. Wow Gummy thats quite a review of all 10 films how did you manage to watch them all?

    :mad1:

Not only was I at the theater on Opening Night for all of them, I also bought them on VHS, then DVD, then the Director's Cut DVD's. So I am able to watch them frequently. Being the fan that I am, I know most of the movies by heart.

  6. ST-TMP: Although the trip through V'Ger was a bit too long, I was just happy to have fresh Trek back. The acting was a bit stiff too.

ST=TWOK: By far, the best movie yet. Great effects, great storyline, all around, my favorite.

ST-TSFS: Could have been better. But Reverend Jim as a Klingon? I think they could have done better casting-wise.

ST-TVH: This is one that appeals to even the non-Trek Fans. Good comedy and interaction by the whole cast.

ST-TFF: This one stunk, but I still watch it every so often. The search for God thing just doesn't work very well.

ST-TUC: My second favorite. Good storyline, and a nicely done farewell to TOS Crew.

ST-G: When you kill off Kirk, you make me angry. Soran was an excellent villain in it.

ST-FC: My third favorite. The Borg were nice and scary in it. Alice Krieg was spectacular as the Borg Queen.

    ST- I: Insurrection. beh.....

ST-N: Shinzon was another one of my favorite villains. Great effects. A sad farewell to TNG and to Data.

I am looking forward to the next film.

See you at the movies. :mad1:

  7. Yes, I know this is an old topic by now, but that's what makes this cool. I've been noticing the bluetooth wireless headsets they have for phones now, and I was thinking that it may be possible to "borrow" their components to make a working com-badge. Especially if your phone has voice-recognition capabilities. Do they still make phones with voice recognition? I know they had it for a while, but I stopped hearing about it. Oh well, It'd be cool anyways. I'd make it myself, but then I'd have to own a cellphone.

I think it's possible. I'm surprised that some company hasn't come up with that yet.

  8. One of my faves from TOS.

Saw Joanne Linville at the Vegas Con last August. She still looked darn good and was warm and personable to boot.

She still looks good. And she's got to be almost 70 by now.

The Enterprise Incident was one of my top five favs from TOS.

I'm looking forward to seeing the remastered version.

  9. How ironic that both nominees were from Germany this week and last :)

You've got to be happy that the Pens are staying put. I see they're getting a new arena.

    This Week's Winner!

Woman Mistakenly Calls Cop for Drugs

    AP

COLBERT, Okla. (March 13) - A woman looking for a cocaine dealer called a number on her son's cell phone - only to discover she had phoned a police officer, authorities said.

Durant police Lt. Mike Woodruff said the 42-year-old woman called him by accident. His number was on her son's cell phone because he had been arrested previously on drug charges.

"She was looking through her son's cell phone directory and found my number," Woodruff said. "Her son had told her that if she ever needed help with anything to give me a call. I think she misunderstood.

"She thought she was talking to a drug dealer."

Woodruff said he played along and set up a meeting between her and an undercover officer. She and an alleged accomplice were arrested on a drug complaint.

    Darn Caller ID!

Gee, maybe she was confused because, she was ON DRUGS!?! :mad1:

    A distinct possibility. :)
