  1. How would the ship have fared if 7 of 9 were captain I'll bet that they would have fared a lot better built a transwarp drive and other such things !

    opinions?

In order for Seven to be Captain, she'd have to be the last person on the ship.

  2. Well, in FIRST CONTACT, it's implied that the Queen is from the original species that became the Borg and that she is the sole individual who keeps the collective consciencous in order. Then "Dark Frontier" shows us the same Queen, played by a different actress, who states that she's from Species 125. So, perhaps a "Queen" wasn't needed till Species 125 was assimilated. Hmm...

  3. If that's what he is refering to, then what do he mean by outside the borders of the galaxy?

I've no idea since it's in the Delta Quadrant.

That place is inside the galaxy at the Delta Quadrant, not outside.

    Yep!

I think Shatner must have mistook where the Admiral went in that Hub to go to the Unimatrix 01. & he let his imagination carry him away & think,

"Ooh that hub must have transported the Admiral away from the galaxy"

    lol :P

    no offense intended.

I didn't read any posts on that. Hmm... Maybe Shatner put his own spin on the Borg? :P

  4. She kisses Sim, and then almost ruled by emotion she runs to the shuttlepods to board and surrender to the Xindi in Azati Prime.  Sure they may say that sector of space was affecting her but come on let's get real.  I'm betting in a few more shows we'll be seeing her PMSing.

I've read production reports that say her loss of emotional control will be explained in the last 6 episodes of the season, but I'm not sure which o these 6 episodes.

  5. actually i agree with cjlp that spheres grow as they assimilate to become more effiecent with there designated tasks given the nature of the borg this makes sense and it explains the differences....

also it would be ridiculous if all borg spheres and cubes were the same size (all cubes one size and all spheres another)  because then they would only have 2 kinds of ships...

also the largest borg vessel is the central plexus seen in (not the one seen in VOY) it is a gigantic mobile space station that mantains a distance of more then 70,000 lightyears out side of the galactic border... this is so that it cannot be threatened by anybody without transwarp propulsion...    this ship is manned by:

    >The borg queen (true queen never seen in any movie/series)

    >"librarian" drones who classify and maintain all info assimilated into the collective

    >Elite guard drones + repair drones for massive repair undertakings/maintence on the station itself

if you took the time to read my whole post HIGH PRAISE FOR YOU  :P

What you are referring to is Unimatrix 01 at the center of the Borg collective in the Delta Quadrant, where the Borg Queen resides. :P

  6. Hell, I Noticed It The First Time I Saw The Trailer For The Episode.  :dude:

Nice Seeing And Intrepid-Class On DS9 After VOY Featured 2 Defiant-Class Ships.

There were 3 in VOY. Two in "Message in a Bottle" and a third in "Endgame". :dude:

As for the mess hall, in "Phage", from season 1, Janeway enters her personal dining room and finds herself in a smoke-filled kitchen! She asks Neelix what the heck is going on, and he says he took down the wall, rerouted some power systems, and so forth. Basically, he spent probably several days to convert Janeway's dining room and the replicator wall into a galley. As for the galley seen in DS9, I don't remember exactly, but did it have a "Starfleet" look to it? If so, then we can assume that the Bellerophon's captain's dining room had been relocated so that a galley could be added. :P

  7. I would think so. I enjoy it when people place info on Trek sites that's taken from episodes, movies, and off-screen chronology without non-canon fan-made info. :)

Also, while we're discussing the Defiant's shuttle, I have a question:

Why do the shuttles have "number" classifications? I've always believed that each ship class, and similar ship designs, have their own shuttle design which explains why the shuttle always mirrors the mother ship. I also find it hard to believe that they only designed 11 shuttlecraft in 100 years. If they're going to design a full-size starship, how hard would it be to design one or two types of shuttlecraft to go along with that design?

  8. My guess was that Cocrane and friends took a nuclear warhead, as said in the movie, and converted it into a warp ship durring the war. However, the ship wasn't finished once the war ended, so it took a lot longer to complete. Remember, Lilly said it took 6 months to scrounge enough titanium for a four-meter cockpit. :)

  9. Keep in mind that they had a secret missle siloue (spelling?). All they did was take a nuclear missle and "convert" it into a warp ship. Granted this is not easy, but I don't think they would have needed all the resources people say they needed. For all we know, it could have taken 20 years and was never found out by America's enemies.

  10. I believe it is about the size of Voyager's class-2 shuttle, the small and sleek one, but with more seating. Infact, here's a picture of that shuttle for those who didn't watch/like Voyager.

If this is the same size as Defiant's shuttle, then this would explain why it's so cramped. :)
