  1. I think the romance between Tom Paris and B'Elanna Torres was so tender and beautiful. I think there were some memorable kisses through out their relationship. So I guess I'd have to vote for Tom in your poll. HOWEVER, REMEMBER THERE WERE SOME ACTRESSES IN STAR TREK THAT WERE SOME GREAT KISSERS TOO!!:bow:

  2. She was the best in season 3, with all the P/T flirting! YAY! lol, remember when she called Tom a pig. I love watching that in re-runs, because she has no idea that this man that she just called a pig was going to be her future husband and the father of her child. lol, funny

Yes, I remember when she used to call him a pig. I also remember the episode "Blood Fever," where her intense passion for Tom came out as she was going through the Vulcan Pon Phar. And finally I recall the first time she told Tom that she loved him, which was in the episode "Day of Honor." B'Elanna and Tom's relationship grew from a very special friendship into a very special love.

  3. LOVE IT! Thank you. He's my favorite. It's just ashame that I can't find out what he has been up to. His website is shut down, because of nasty words and rumors. Wish I could find out what conventions he'll be at.

Here's a link to the convention page at Startrek.com I see he is going to be a guest at least two of Creation's conventions - one in Vegas and one in Brooklyn. I didn't check the guest lists for the other conventions listed at the Creation site or the other convention links there.

    Startrek.com Conventions

You know speaking of conventions, the only one worth attending in North Carolina is not returning this year. I sure am going to miss it. I wish there were others close by.

  4. Voyager was a journey, not only across the Delta Quadrant, but of discovery for each member of the Ship. The Doctor journied and improved as did Paris. Kim and Bellanna. She was at first and angry pained woman and in the end found love and happiness. Voyager saved her from ferself.

:o I totally agree with your comments. B'Elanna was in great pain. Her journey with Voyager did save her from herself. She worked through her agony on Voyager, and in the process she also helped her husband to grow. As you recall Tom was a bit of an arrogent jerk, when he arrived on Voyager.

  5. I really think if I was to have dinner with anyone on Voyager it would be with Torres (the character), being a species who viewed their lives on Voyager I would sit and discuss the deep emotional episode where she saved her mothers' soul from Klingon hell. Sometimes I was confused of Torres' true intententions of love either if there were more for the mother, father, or neither. I guess she is more like me beucase I really do not have any effections over my parents, but if my mother was doomed for hell, I would do anything to save her. My father- unsure.

Lt. Commander you said a mouth full. You said some of the main reasons why B'Elanna's character and role on Voyager was so powerful. Her passions and emotions were so deep. Her life was so beset with relationship struggles that many, many of us could identify with. Personally I had a very stresfull relationship with my mother. But like B'Elanna, I would come to her rescue if I could.(By the way the episode you spoke of "Barge Of The Dead" was one of my favorite episodes) Yes, B'Elanna was indeed a memorable crew mate.......I had the opportunity to meet and talk with Roxanne Dawson at a Star Trek convention a year ago. She autograped her book and a photograph for me. It truly was the high light of my convention experience :( !!!!!

  6. For some reason I was thinking that Ensign Wildman was dead, but now that I think about it I don't know what happened.

    B) Like you I don't think Naomi's mother died. And while I enjoyed the relationship that developed between Seven and Naomi.......and while Nelix was a great god father, reading Naomi bedtime stories etc;.....it just always seemed odd to see those two adults around Naomi all the time, and never her mother, who was also supposed to be on the ship with her. I think this was something that the series didn't handle properly. :(

  7. I think Janeway helped Q for 2 reasons: She wanted to prevent super novas in our galaxy, plus she saw that Q was a revelutionist, thus, part of her wanted to help him in that sense.

NOTE TO AHANE: Ya don't let someone die becuase ya don't like them.  That's...  That's just not right! B)

I would agree that you don't let someone die because you don't like them. I also never saw any romantic interest from Janeway towards Q. I always viewed their relationship as more of a friendship. Janeway however, showed us many times that her need for love was no less than anyone else on Voyager. I think the last romantic encounter she had was during season 7 in the two part episode called Work Force. But as I said before I believe for some reason the "script" for Star Trek captains, unlike other members on star ships is..........not to have a romantic relationship that works. B)

Sorry about the letting enemies die thing; that was wrong. I think that Janeway's last romance with that guy in 'Workforce' did her in because she seemed in love with him. But Alas, it was a fake love drawn by neuro medication.

It's okay Lt. Commander......but I do agree with you that her last romance on "Workforce" must have taken a lot out of her. :(

  8. Like Seven of Nine, the character of B'Elanna Torres was a character you either liked or disliked. When Voyager began, I didn't know what to think of B'Elanna. Initially I saw her as a very angry, arrogent, aggressive woman. I must admit too that I really didn't like her at all. Yet as I continued watching the series, she became my favorite character. I could even identify with her struggles and torments. I saw so much growth in her as the series progressed. I also liked how her relationship with Tom Paris helped her to mature. Actually their love for each other helped both of them to grow. At any rate. here was another crew member that to me had so much depth, and gave us fans a so much to think about. B'Elanna really let you into her heart and soul. She never left you wondering about anything. I also thought Roxanne Dawson gave a lot of passion and character to the role. She trully made B'Elanna come alive. :(

  9. You know when I began this discussion, I knew it would bring in a lot of different comments, and trends of thought. Kes had many fans. There were also many Star Trek fans who were glad to see her leave. Likewise, Seven had many fans. And yet many Star Trek fans did not like her character at all. Personally I was a fan of both. And yet I must say that I found more depth to Seven's character. I will agree that many episodes did center around her once she entered the cast. But these episodes in my opinion brought out great stories through Seven's relationship with her other crew mates. I also liked Seven's relationship with the Borg children, Naomi Wildman, the Doctor, Nelix, and the constant drama between her and B'Elanna Torres. :(

  10. Well for me it will have to be the Doctor. The episode where he thought he was dying and made so manyconfessions to the crew, only to learn a few moments that B'Elanna had corrected his program......the episode where to save him, Seven down loaded his program into her body........these are but two of the classic episodes that show how funny his charcter could be. :(

  11. I have been around since "dirt was invented." B) I watched the original Star Trek before it went into reruns. And I was an adult at that time. I won't give my actual age. But I'm sure that I'm one of, if not the oldest "Trekkie" on this web :( site

  13. I wish I could remember what my first episode was. I only know that I began watching the original series back in 1966. I found it fascinating, and hardly ever missed an episode once I started watching. I stopped for a long time when TNG replaced TOS. But Voyager brought me back with a vengence. Since then I have caught up on TNG and Deep Space Nine. The latter will never be my favorite. But it is Star Trek....and I will forever support the entire legacy.

  14. One of the reason I began watching the original Star Trek Series years ago, because it was one of the only televised shows that brought together men and women of all nationalities and races, and placed them in positions of respect and character. As a person of color I was very impressed with this. Over the years and through the various series, Star Trek has tried to deal with many issues that relate to the human conditions we continue to face here on earth. I think there continues to be that need for Star Trek fans. Tolerance, Acceptance, Diversity...........these were part of the beginnings of Star Trek, and should always be.
