  1. I've ranted/lamented on Enterprise based threads before that because of how they messed up the programming schedule here, I could not easily watch ENT not too far into the series. They put the UPN programming after the FOX programming here, so what would be on at 8pm or 9pm was on at 11pm or midnight.

But, I happened to be awake the night that one of the three in the story arc was on. Being a fan of Brent(and have now for almost 20 years), I was thrilled that of any episode I could catch it was one of the ones he was in. I have to say that I did like his performance as Arik.

My sister is a bit of a night owl, being up with her two young children, and did get to catch the whole story arc when it was rerun. From what she told me, my sister highly enjoyed all three episodes.

  2. I love to laugh, whether it is at work or at home... or pretty much anywhere

You want to kill your bra?
    LOL! :P

I hate it when people go out of their ways to make others miserable!

  3. I have always worried about my spelling. Even with a college eductaion I have horrible spelling and sme times my arguments are incoherant. I have noticed many people refuse to look past bad spelling and ignore the persons argument/post/thread entirely. Even though some people's first language may not be English.

What are your guys opnions on this?

I usually spell pretty well, and I often hope others could too. But, I know that there are a lot of people on the internet do not commonly use English in their daily life. So, for the most part, I try not to be hypercritical of it. Unless it is so mangled that I cannot understand a word of it, that is a bit of a headache.

  4. Waiting for lunch to finish cooking. OH, NO... I just had a thought, I left my GameBoy SP on in my purse and just now thought about it!!! Hopefully it is not dead, I did not get to save before I put it away.. I was in the middle of a battle on Final Fantasy Tactics Advance.

ok, also found out that lunch is ready :(

  5. Maybe it is goofy sounding, but they could have had the one Borg Queen and after she died she was replaced by another drone... that happened to be her twin sister.

Ok, jokes aside. I think it was she, when asked how she escaped her ship's destruction, who mentioned about humans (or at least organic creatures) thinking in only 3 dimentional terms. It is very easy to follow that her memories and behavior patterns were transfered into a new queen, but as for her appearance... it could be easy to believe that she could chose her appearance. After all, Lal did so why not the Queen?

  6. Q would be an interesting choice for a movie villain. And with his ability to completely tamper with just about everything you could even have portions from more than one Trek cast included (for those who want to see more of a crossover, I'm not really interested in that idea but I can truly see where it could actually work out.)

And yeah, time continuum tampering would be an idea for a portion of a plot line. As long as it is handled well by the writers.

Although having a new villain is also a good idea, even though it could equally be a bad idea as was seemingly apparent by people's reactions to "Nemesis". Cardassians might be an idea, except they were featured heavily (or least it seemed like it from reading stuff) on DS9.

Comparatively it seemed like the Q were used less than the Cardassians and might seem like a better candidate for a movie villain. The Borg were featured a LOT, but that happened primarily AFTER ST:FC.. so the same really could not be said of them.

  7. The links below banner on FireFox text are white in white box. There is no problem with IE7.

:( I noticed that this afternoon. Oh well, it does not matter too much to me since all I have to do is put the pointer over it and it changes to dark blue (because of course it is now highlighted)

  8. I was going to come to the chat, but our music gig ran until 5pm and after tear down we did not head out of the venue until 5:30. Add time for dinner, and then it was probably too late. Plus I run IE7 & Firefox, so I do not know if I would have been abled to get into the chatroom. I have not been in the chatroom for a long while now, so I am not sure if I can still get to the room or not.

  9. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

    Merry Christmas to all -

We are having a very amazing rain storm right - now - most unusual for Christmas.

Yeah, the rain is getting pretty heavy right now. I remember rains here during a Christmas or two, but I can agree it is a bit unusual for this area at this time of year. That, and once again it is a bit warmer over Christmas too. Seventy-three degrees is supposed to be the high today, but get cooler tomorrow.

  10. Not really too odd, because if you think from an evolutionary standpoint it makes perfect sense. As for whether slouching is really comfortable for me... I do not really know, I am more comfortable for longer periods of time curled up one way or another (though that tends to irritate my hip especially on the right side after a while). And after curled up, it is sitting straight up. Maybe it is because of over 20 years of gymnastics (and thus, bending my back in a direction that definately was not the way nature had intended LOL), and almost 3 years of dance is why sitting straight up feels better than slouching. Heck, when friends and coworkers walk past my car and see my seat in my car bolt upright it drives them nuts. It is comfortable, plus it makes it so I can more easily see over my steering wheel (only 5' and almost 1"). But to them it is too weird and they say it looks uncomfortable

But then I have had several back injuries, and a few quite severe... so that also may play a role. Most recent was whiplash of the neck as well as sciatica. THat happened in 2004.

  11. Almost picked WD-40 as it is a great invention.... however, it is Duct Tape that keeps me from slipping and falling on my face while I dance. The composite heels & toes are quite slippery on some dance floors, so the tape gives us some traction. So to me, that is a BIG bonus :assimilated:

  12. :assimilated: I guess she missed that episode of Myth Busters, where they determined that doing that really does not work. Sad that everybody else had to delay their trips because she decided to do something pretty goofy, medical condition not withstanding. I know that it can't be helped, it IS a normal body function... however, lighting matches when it was not ok to do so is avoidable.

  13. There is no way in or on this green earth that I will ever try these sodas! Pea flavored??? I like peas, but I do not like pea soup. So I cannot imagine that I will enjoy that drink.

I cannot even think of even trying any of those sodas without feeling like I am going to throw up.

I will stick to Sierra Mist, and sometimes be forced with drinking Sprite. Those are safe sodas. Uhhh, at least until I can get ahold of the Green Apple Jolly Ranchers Soda. I got a bottle once on the way to Sebring, FL, and it was awesome. I will definately take Green Apple soda over Pea soda any day!
