Alright.

 

Review of Wrestlemania XX.

 

Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg-

 

Prediction: Goldberg Win by Pinfall.

Outcome: Goldberg Win by Pinfall.

 

The crowd were brilliant during this match. They really let those two guys know what they thought of them. The match itself was boring. The good news? Two spots at the top level are now available.

 

HBK vs. HHH vs. Benoit-

 

Prediction: HHH Win by Pinfall.

Outcome: Benoit Win by Submission.

 

Congratulations to Chris Benoit. The crowd was with him, and the celebration with the two World Champions at the end was a touching moment. Thankfully, I predicted wrong, but if my mistake was proved wrong with Benoit becoming champion, then I'm cool with that. Although Triple H's white boots? WHAT'S UP WIT DAT???

 

Undertaker vs. Kane-

 

Prediction: Undertaker Win By Pinfall.

Outcome: Undertake Win By Pinfall.

 

Not too bad. Paul Bearer returning was a nice touch. It was definately a good match relative to their other matches. I was a little disappointed with Taker's return. It was basically ''The American Badass'' with a hat and a long coat, I was expecting something more radical. But it was OK.

 

Cruiserweight Open-

 

Prediction: Only Chavo, Rey or Tajiri can win this match.

Outcome: Chavo Wins.

 

Very good. I felt sorry for Ultimo Dragon who slipped twice during his entrance. Kidman and Noble were awesome.

 

Raw Tag Team Match-

 

Prediction: RVD and Booker T retain.

Outcome: RVD and Booker T retain.

 

Not too bad. As I mentioned before, the Tag Team Divisions need a lot of work. Jindrak and Cade have a lot of potential.

 

Smackdown Tag Team Match-

 

Prediction: The World's Greatest to win the titles.

Outcome: Scotty and Rikishi retain.

 

I was disappointed with this. I wanted The World's Greatest to win this match. But I guess their time will come again. Rikishi looked very unhealthy and in bad shape. He was exhausted by the end of this match. His and Scotty's routine is boring now.

 

Evening Gown Playboy Bimbo.....erm...Whatever Match-

 

Prediction: Who cares? But it will end with all four 'women' tearing each other's clothes off.

 

Outcome: I didn't watch this match. Torrie looked nice though.

 

Kurt Angle vs. Eddie Guerrero-

 

Prediction: Kurt to win.

Outcome: Eddie Wins.

 

Again, I was wrong, but I didn't mind. Both guys were superb. Crowd were very much into this. Both incredible talents. World class wrestlers and performers. Excellent.

 

Big Show vs. John Cena-

 

Prediction: John Cena to win by Pinfall.

Outcome: John Cena wins by Pinfall.

 

A very good opening. Big Show did very well in this match, which is even more tragic. If this guy loses the flab and gets back to his shape in 1996, he could be a major player and could fill one of the vacant top level spots. Cena was awesome. A true star in the making.

 

Rock and Sock vs. Evolution-

 

Prediction: Rock and Sock to Win.

Outcome: Evolution Win.

 

Upon reflection, a good decision. Since Rock and Sock was just a one night thing, it made sense for the full time team to win. A very good match. New York was a little lukewarm in its attitude to the Rock, but he was very good. Orton is the future of the WWE. Excellent Match.

 

Molly vs Victoria-

 

Prediction: Victoria to win.

Outcome: Victoria Wins.

 

This was OK. Crowd were a little dead for this one. Molly is a good sport for allowing her hair to go. Lots of credit goes to her.

 

Christian vs. Chris Jericho-

 

Prediction: Two things may happen:

 

1) Jericho will be victorious. Trish will come down to the ring either during the match to cost Christian the match, or to celebrate with Y2J after the match with a lip-lock.

 

2) Trish will come down to the ring and will accidently cost Jericho to lose, or she may turn heel on him.

 

Outcome: Christian Wins. Trish turns heel.

 

The match was very good. Christian is superb. Jericho needs to dump some weight. The heel turn was expected. Should be interesting to see where this one is going. Good performances by all three.

 

The Rest:

 

- Superb opening montage with the future New York City skyline with Freedom Tower and of course, the baby. Awww!!! That was sweet.

 

- Good promo for the future heel, Edge.

 

- Marvellous rendition of America The Beautiful.

 

- Nice Hall of Fame induction and skit with Mene Gene and The Brain with Moolah and Mae.

 

- Jesse and Trump bit was OK. Nice of them to point out Trump's hosting of WM IV and V.

 

- Very good of Vince to come out and thank the crowd.

 

- Wrestlemania XXI in Los Angeles will be tremendous.

 

 

Overall Verdict: Excellent show.

The Undertaker looked embarassed to walk out with that stupid hat and long coat.

 

The ''return of the Deadman'' did not live up to the hype. They should go back to his American Badass persona.

As for Brock: He's taking a big risk leaving the WWE for the chance to try out with an NFL team. He's not guaranteed of getting picked by one of those teams.

i just finished watching it and it was a h.e.l.l yeah show i loved it in fact

JR and King did a pretty good job during the Quitter's Match to cover what the crowd were chanting.

 

But the King's announcing during the Women's Title Match was abysmal.

 

He just talked about granny panties for the duration of the match.

 

That's why women's wrestling will never be taken seriously on Raw.
