No, I'm the one who's confused. ^_^

Aren't these mood star things cool?

Yes, indeed. ^_^ STF should have a Kirk, Picard, Sisko, Janeway, and Archer smilie.  What do you think, hmm? ^_^

I think that's a good idea. I like the pink elephant too.

Hey, you changed your sig!! I like it. Did you notice that the spoiler button doesn't work in the sigs anymore? I used to have a picture of my daughter there, but it quit working so I took it off. Oh well. I also now have a picture of myself in my profile, but I'm sure nobody will notice. B)

Nice pic Indy..Is it your wedding pic? I would have noticed it eventually. In fact the other day didn't you have a pic of a dancer there?

And I noticed that the signature spoilers don't work anymore as well. I will bring it up with VBG.

I just wanted to say I'm proud of myself and I'll tell you why. I am an older individual and as such have had no formal training in learning how to use this piece of machinery we call a computer. When we first got the thing, I didn't even know how to turn it on. I had to be coached by my husband and my two daughters on how to do the simplest things that most of you take for granted. After awhile I made it to the StarTrek.com site and found my way into the chatroom. After meeting some nice people there, someone urged me to download AIM. :dude: Obviously, I didn't have the skills to accomplish that, so my daughter did it for me. Even after I had AIM, my kids laughed at me because I didn't know how to block people, start private chatrooms, etc. Heck, a good friend had to tell me online how to copy and paste. I sound pretty pathetic, don't I?

Well, all is not lost. I'm proud to report that after much time has passed and I never gave up trying, I have kept learning little by little. I not only have AIM now, but I have Trillian, which I downloaded myself. I've installed virus programs, played some games and activated firewalls. I even have a troubleshooting file. I've even played with building websites on an elementary level. My most recent accomplishment has been successfully uploading pictures to the internet so I can post them on this site and other sites. I know all this stuff seems simple to all of you, but for someone not raised on computers or introduced to them in a working environment, it really isn't. So my next step: learning how to use my new digital camcorder and doing video editing, picture editing, etc with my computer.

So, the whole point of this post is to give myself a pat on the back and say "YOU DONE GOOD, INDY!!"

Yes! :) Just kidding! *hides under his desk*

I know a lot about computers, but the things I need to learn next are how to work on them physically and build websites. I'm a fast learner... except for website building. All that code! :)

Ya know it really sucks when ya can't even post a serious topic in the Science and Technology forum without it getting irrelevant posts and then closed.
