Kor37 9 Posted March 12, 2006 - I got a really sore throat today. I've tried about 5 different sore throat medicines but they were all useless. - Last week I started working out it the gym again. I let it go for awhile and now I'm paying for it. I want to build up my cardio a bit and then I'll start Karate again. - My son is home for 2 weeks for Spring Break. We took him to the Inner Harbor yesterday. He bought a really cool shirt at the Hard Rock Cafe. - The lease on my warehouse is running out this month. I'm not going to renew that one. With all of the extra territory I got recently, I decided to lease out another warehouse that is about twice as large. I'm going to have a moving company come in on Sunday, April 2 to move everything to the new warehouse and we will start operations there on Monday, April 3rd. - We are supposed to go out and eat crabs today but with my sore throat, I think I'll pass. Kor37 9 Posted March 25, 2006 Sorry to read you aren't feeling well. Get better soon Kor. Thank you so much, MB. Its so nice seeing you back on the site again. You have been sorely missed! Thanks for the data, Psy. I put a check in the mail to you. - My throat never did get better so I went to the doctor. I found out that I had strep throat. He gave me some anti-biotics and it cleared up within 2 days. - I've been really busy with work. I picked up some new territory from another company and I've been going crazy hiring and training people. A lot of long days. - I really enjoyed seeing my son home for Spring Break. - Still haven't finalized our vacation plans. Another couple is supposed to go with us and my friend's wife shattered her leg some weeks ago. She had to have a steel rod and pins put in. We have to see how quickly her leg improves before we finalize our plans. Thats about it from the Land Of Pleasant Living. See ya next time!

Madame Butterfly 0 Posted March 28, 2006 Thank you so much, MB. Its so nice seeing you back on the site again. You have been sorely missed! Tis very kind of you to say so Kor. Glad to hear you went to the doctor, strep is really painful. :( I'm glad you had a nice visit with your son. Has he grown at all while away from home? And I don't mean in height or girth either. As for your vacation, I hear Yellowstone is "expanding" again, so scratch that off your list. B)
Kor37 9 Posted April 4, 2006 Its been a pretty stressful week. Last Sunday was the last day of my lease at my old warehouse. I spent all day Sunday with the moving company getting all of our equipment and stuff moved to the new warehouse. Every day this week has been spent unpacking. Very stressful considering we also have to do our jobs at the same time. We named the new warehouse "Oz". Its at the very end of an actual road named "Yellow Brick Road".... Kor37 9 Posted April 19, 2006 Wow! Its been a while since I've posted here. - I've been incredibly busy at work. Several of my drivers have been out with medical problems. One had to have a hip replacement, one went to the hospital with pneumonia and another one just had a stroke! Needless to say, this has put a tremendous strain on the rest of us. I've been getting very frustrated because every time I see the light at the end of the tunnel, something else pops up to mess things up. All I seem to do is work and sleep. Very depressing. - I have been able to go back to the gym lately though. I've been doing a combination of cardio and weight lifting. It helps ward off the depression. Kor37 9 Posted April 27, 2006 - Pretty busy week this week. Being short-handed at work continues to monopolize all of my time. - I did have time to buy another work van this week. I bought a 1996 Chevrolet Astro van. - They had an awards ceremony at the University of Maine where my son is just completing his first year. He scored big-time. I'm so proud of him. He got 5 awards! Here's what he got: 1) Forestry's Highest Ranking Student Award For First Year Class (Freshman) - $75 check. 2) Field Session for forestry (May Term) - $250 3) Robert I Ashman Field Session Award - $500 4) George T. Carlisle Fund Award - $3800 5) Alumni Class of 1939 Scholarship - $1600 I'm really proud of that boyomine!!
Kor37 9 Posted May 20, 2006 Soooo......whats new with me? - I think I'm finally fully staffed at work. Time will tell if the new people will work out though. - My car is still not ready.... ..The sealer has been applied and I'm told it will be painted sometime this week..........I ain't holdin' my breath! - My son Eric has completed his first year of college and has done a great job. However, even though the semester is over, the Forestry students have to hang around for an extra 3 weeks for a mini-semester. They will go out into the woods and do actual Forestry work. So far in his first week of this, Eric has chopped down some trees using a chainsaw and learned to drive a backhoe and some other huge machine that picks up and moves logs. He seems to be having a great time! - My wife flew up to Maine on Thursday to help Eric move all of his stuff out of his dorm room and put it in storage for the summer. She will be back on Monday. Its really weird that I can fly from Baltimore to Los Angeles cheaper than I can from Baltimore to Maine... - I bought my tickets to the Shore Leave Star Trek convention. I will be attending this with Mr.Psychic.This is the big Trek con around these parts. It doesn't even start to compare with Vegas but its still pretty cool. Check out the neat guests they have lined up. www.Shore-Leave.com - Wow! Just watched the Preakness! What a shame about Barbaro! It looks like a serious injury. That really sucks..... Kor37 9 Posted May 23, 2006 Pretty slow start to the week. - Another one of my drivers got hurt. He got into a car accident and now has a concussion. - I picked up my wife at the airport yesterday. She will be home for about a week. Then she flys back to Maine to pick up our son Eric. Then both of them will fly to Minnesota to spend 2 weeks with my sisters. Meanwhile, I'm stuck at home because of work........ - In the meantime, we will be having our annual huge Memorial day cookout. This is our big event that we hold every year. Tons of people are expected. Any StarTrekfans members in the Baltimore area are cordially invited to attend. There will be lots of beer, wine , wine coolers, steaks, chicken, burgers and dogs. I also got some Buffalo tenderloins shipped in that I will be grilling up. Anyone who has ever tried buffalo meat will tell you that its much better than regular beef. The pool will be open and the volleyball wars will be in full swing. A splendid time is guaranteed for all.
