Board Offline

As many of you know the board was offline for almost 24 hours on Monday. THis was due to a mixup with Invision and 1 other 3rd party company. Once that was resolved we should have been back on within hour but I was told that we'd have to wait till morning when the UK office came to work. So it seems that as of an hour or so ago the UK office got us back online.

 

I just want to stress that there was nothing wrong with your individual accounts and all will continue as normal. We were just down for a day.

It was the biggest news on the board that I am mod on. One of the members told us almost the same thing. The news that stf went down got around fast on the net. :)

I spent all day yesterday reviewing all of my posts in my mind, worried that I had done something to get kicked off of here! :)

 

I am so relieved that it was not that! "Account Suspended" sounded very ominous indeed.

 

So glad stf is back up and running ... I don't know what else I would do to fill the day!

I signed on yesterday and got that odd message, and thought there was something wrong with my account or something

Me too also. I thought I had done something wrong at first, then I thought it was probably a problem with the site. I'm greatly relieved, and very happy, that it's back! :) :)

Yeah, I was worried at first too, then I went to another site and pm-ed some people that I knew posted here and found out we all got the same message.

I was afraid that everyone would think I had banned them lol Sorry I wasn't able to send out any word other then through SWF, I wanted to send a mass email to everyone but I couldn't even get onto my admin account to do that.

 

For those of you that felt the withdrawal just imagine how it was for me... about an hour after this site went down I changed my email address at the Eagles Message Board, I spend A LOT of time at the Eagles Message Board BTW. After changing my email address I had to wait for an Admin to revalidate my account, which took almost 24 hours.

 

SInce my account hadn't been revalidated I couldn't even read any messages, it just told me I didn't have access. I was ready to shoot someone by the end of the evening :) So for anyone that I communicated with yesterday via email, if I snapped at you sorry... :) :) :)

When the site went down I was answering the triva. I was down to the last 3. I am so glad that I saved my answers to Word.

All I know is, I saw "account suspended" and I was like "What did I do?!" I went through all my e-mails (I can't remember which one this is on) and didn't see anything. I even deleted all my cookies and web page history to see if I could create a new account and PM someone to find out what I had done. After all this stress, I find out that basically the server (or whatever) was down.

Looks like we were all trying to figure out we had done to cause it. I think I was in the worst situation that I could be in as I could remember my last post before it went down - something about the sexiest banner I had ever made. Just image posting that and then hours later coming on to see "account suspended". LOL

I too felt a stabbing in my heart. I'm reminded of that guy in Temple of Doom with his heart torn out and shown to him, I felt like that. The same again as I went to SGFs and found the same thing; I thought: "I've been overthrown!" Then I went to SWFs and it loaded fine so finally I could breathe again. At SWFs the post at the top of the new posts list was about the problem here and I finally relaxed completely.
