Personally, I have nothing at all to fear of death. Of coarse, I would prefer a full life. However, if I do, I believe I'll be going to Heaven to spend eternity with God and Jesus, so death doesn't bother me in the least. However, I still miss people and animals when they die for obvious reasons.

OMG im so afraid of the dark. Well it's not actually the dark that scares me, its all the sounds I hear when its dark. At night I hear all sorts of creepy noises and things outside. I get so scared that I can't even sleep!

Okay no one has mentioned mine yet... Rats, big ugly sewer rats. I'm not really afraid of them, but I'm afraid of them. Does that make sense? They don't terrify me or cause me to run off screaming, that's not me, I'll stand my ground. I might wet myself, but I'd be standing there! We lived next to a creek that runs through town and back in the 60's there really wasn't anything to prevent them from coming up toilets and basement sewer drains. When I was six I went to our basement stairs, where we kept our coats, and a rat had crawled up into my coat pocket. My dad came in and killed it, but still enough to make me shake my coat before I put it on, and a great story to tell around the Thanksgiving table. My mom was sitting on the toilet when one came up through the hole! Talk about freak! The funny thing is...I want to see the movie Willard, with Crispin Glover.

 

 

My other fears are pitch black rooms, or hallways, (I always leave a light on when I leave home, I never walk into a house that's dark, at least I try not to. I make the friend or homeowner go in first. That way if they get got, I can RUN for help! ) and a world without Trek!

i have no REAL fear that paralizes me, but i grew up with deaf parents, and as much as i LOVE music i cant bear the thought of going deaf. i have my moments when i want to be alone in a dark and silent room, all to myself, deep in thought, but to never be able to hear a beautiful piano solo, or a rippin guitar solo, or just some powerful ballad, just makes me a little crazy, along the same lines blindness scares me, i love to see the sunrise over the ocean, or a beautifull sunset over the mountains, the colors of a rainbow, or just to see my beautiful wife. i have minor phobias with heights and such things, but my job until i was laid off, had me up ladders all the time, sometime 50 ft or so up in the air, and not to mention as a firefighter ive been up my share of heights. but as they say courage isnt, not haveing any fear, but facing your fears. i do however HATE, WITH A PASSION, SNAKES. i love the water, i love the ocean but i always have watersnakes in the back of my head. not to mention SHARKS and other such things in the ocean. as a kid i used to hate to go in any water, lakes, etc, worried about sharks, i guess i had a lot to learn about fresh, or salt water. lol. death doesnt scare me at all, i dont want to die granted but when i do, thats when GOD wanted me to go. even if your one to think theres "nothingness after death", then why be afraid of "nothing"? after death all worries on this planet are gone, so nothing to worry about. anyway i look forward to paradise, after death in heaven. i guess one thing i do fear the most, is going through life feeling as though ive accomplished nothing, or made nothing of my life. i want to be remembered after death for contributing to this world, and not just another obiturary. silly i guess, oh well i guess ive ranted on enough.

I am petrified of heights. Ironic since I used to do security for a 40 floor high rise building, which included going roof escorts and patrols. Luckily I was a supervisor and I could usually assign someone else to go. But when I could not, it almost killed me and I could not go anywhere near the edge.

hieghts are ok for me.. however I hate bees.. Most of that comes from being stung on the palm of my hand when I was playing when I was little. And from The X Files.. I hate snakes...*twich* I hate any bugs.. My dad hates earwigs he always told us(me and my brother) that they would crawl in your ear and take over your mind.. And even though my dad dosn't like earwigs he was the one who had to kill them...

Boy do I know that one. I lived in San Diego 9 years and never went in the ocean past my knees. I won't even go in the deep end of the pool. I'm terrified of being in water higher than my chest.

They are those bugs, which look like giant ants only with a set of pincers on the tail. The idea they will climb into your ears and burrow into your brain (like Khan’s pets) is an urban legend. If people insist on having fears of bugs, here is one for your nightmares-have you ever seen a Potato Bug? They are what the game Cooties are based on and they are creepy, even to me!

I heard of a bug that burrows under your skin when it's so small, you think you just got bit or cut. By the time you realise it's under your skin, it's a small budge, slowly moving arround! (shivers)

Good, I'm not the only one afraid of bugs.

 

I used to have frequent nightmares where I was just doing...whatever (usually some sort of everyday task), when out of nowhere a swarm of bugs would crawl all over me.

 

I also hate big pictures of water or things in water, like underwater pics. I have no idea why, but I cower up whenever I see them. I had to force myself to watch the end of Titanic, and it freaked me out. Bleh. The other day, I was at the theater, and I saw that big poster for "Finding Nemo". It was right next to the restroom, but somehow I managed to get past it.

 

Hopefully, I don't seem too freaky now.

Heights. I once joined a caving club to try to confront my fear but it made it even worse! There is a method of overcoming your fears called flooding. You put yourself in your worst nightmare scenario and you are so afraid you will never get to that level again and so it is sort of like a relief of sorts.

I don't think its my worst fear yet though, its definatley second though, earwig is still the top. The picture of the earwig isn't enough to give you an idea. they move really fast and its scary watching them. I am freaking out now! i'm going to have dreams about potato bugs and earwigs infesting my house...ewww! i'll stop there, I am really scaring myself.
