the whole time thing has been "the" total problem with this show...they can't even stay consistent "within" the show...(1) first time Danial pulls Archer out of time-line...the future is destroyed(and the effect is instant...presto..buildings in ruins...no future (2) Danials comes back... Archer's asks him "what's the future...can't u tell me...he said something like...the effects havent caught up to the future yet...you're off the map(great way of saying the writers haven't got that far!) (3) Brings Archer to Enterprise J- show's him the future/ by the way what happened to the Tempral Prime Directive? (4) for some unknown reason...the past is now messed up...which would also mean the "whole" future is messed up! And I don't think Danials would take Archer and a bad guy to the past.. The whole "sphere builders" from the future threating Earth...was just sad...Why didn't kirk or Picard or Janeway ever mention the "threat" and why wasn't Starfleet preparing for it..if they knew from Archer that it was coming.....it's just keeps going and going.....

fans have been trying various ways to make sense of the "registry numbers" and different skymes have been tryed...there's lots of web sites u can visit...with starship databases in them. as for the NCC some say it stands for Naval Costruction Code....but now I perfer to conject that it could stand for Naval Construction Contract..... that explains a lot more.

The part about Archer's Dad dying in his arms in a dream, gets a big thumbs up from me...it's a real good idea....only one question..point.....Archer needs to be near the Warp 5 complex at the time of the explosion....I don't think his dad could lie around "waiting" to expire while Archer makes the trip back from Vulcan. Yeah, you've got a good point there. Ok, how about he is being reprimanded or whatever at the Vulcan embassy in San Francisco. In this time period I don't think it takes very long to get from San Francisco to Montana.

Enterprise-"Terra Nova" established Utopia Planitia was there and the "conistoga" launched from mars....which goes against the date given in Voyager as to "when" Mars was colonized...but it's only just another continuity thing.

i thought it was flying high-pegging 9 right up to the end...where it nose-dived off a cliff with that weird "cliff-hanger want-to-b" time messed up stuff...gave it a 6-and that was for trying and mostly for T'Pol petting poor little Porthos.

i think that ending should be called "writer's block" what was that...it was b.s. (1) where was space dock?where was the nx-02? if the xendi were gonna blow up something in orbit-wouldn't it be that? where were the other starfleet ships-the one's that fired on the klingon ship the last time Enterprise came home? Wouldn't it have just been A.O.K. if the Andorians had just beamed Archer off there b4 it when boom---what's with the Earth's past being messed up-how did Archer and the Reptile(that Archer had just blown apart...which was Kool) end up in a alt Earth time....where WW2 is still going on in 2154? That was just stupid...and how about the crew's reaction to the news that Archer was dead.....they didn't seem too upset or shocked! it was going pretty smooth, and the Archer jogging away with the explosions behind him was kool visual...why the B.S. at the end!

Headborg, i came up with the idea mainly because of the lack of high powered particle weaponry in Enterprise's time period, not for something like the defiant/et al (although something similar COULD be used in the future).

Ok...lose the cloaking and the mine laying... sure....the Humans will need all the guns they can get for the upcoming Romulan War...gunships will be great during "enterprise" time....how about for StarBase defense? wouldn't they work great there? And they will be great for "Sweeping Space" to detect Cloaked ships!

How soon can U turn out...o..say 1000 of them...big contract order! And a mini one for the MACOs type-4 personal mini-gun phasor/ Terminator inspired!

The Xendi arc ..is now a new time string ..if Xendi join the Federation....I don't remember seeing any large Tanks on the "Constitution-Enterprise or any of the others....A, B, C, D, E, F?, G?, H? I? ----J must have had "fish tanks" or they In a different time-line all to gether.....pity Kirk, Picard, Janeway...Never happened!

I think it works out really well that NX-01 would fit the construction schedule and be the 170 starship registered! it's easy to see how "Constitution" Enterprise could get the 1701 registry ###!!!!!

thnks mjham, that post was "refreshing" and Kool! ok what do you think about Earth already having atleast 12 or so "deadalus" class starships in the fleet? That will make it seem more belivable in two years for the Romulan War....Here's my research: U.S.S. Caralina N.C.C. 160, U.S.S. Archon N.C.C. 189--Both "Deadalus" class starships( per STARTREk Encyclopedia) now (1) if they are "Deadalus" class there must have been a "Deadalus" so we conject it's registry # must be ncc-159....if the Archon was the last "Deadalus" class launched and it was lost the very same year- 2167.(per StarTrek canon)...then that gives StarFleet a min of 30 ships to build...if 2 ships built every year(1-at Utopia Pentia..Mars/ 1-Earth orbit) and it takes 2 years to build a starship...that means the first U.S.S. Deadalus must have been built 2137.....b4 the NX program began in 2149(date construction began on enterprise) That would give enought time for Starfleet to have around 12 in service right now during "Enterprise"...what's really kool with assigning registry numbers sequentially is that it works out that if Starfleet "reserved" a number for NX-01 to be changed to after "testing/trial" is my

calculations comes up with NCC-170 ...for it's Number...so it's easy to see that the

"Constitution" class enterprise could just be assigned NCC-1701! it works out exactly that way on paper

hay that's a great idea-how about a phalanx phasor? sort of a "gray ghost" or "puff the majic dragon" starship/gunship in the Federation-something like the Defient- with cloaking technology...that can sneak up on it's target......then open up with gatlin phasors and drop "cloaked photon mines" off the stern!

How does a xendi aquotic build a starship...without hands, fingers, or interposable thumb? How does a fish "operate"/work the controls? Now this is a area for alot of speculation/ and if they join the federation why didn't they share that technology...would b nice to have "no touch" controls! Gives new material for jokes like...how many Aquitics does it take to screw in a light bulb? Now I understand why they are so slow in making a decision, very deliberate...it must have taken thousands of years to figure out how to build without hands!

(1) an Akira class starship 200 years b4 it's time

(2) photon torpedos-mark1- very earily in trek history

(3) Worf stated in a next genereration epsode- phasors didn't exist until 2200!

(4) tarra nova- Constogoa left earth couple years after first contact- built by Earth with no help from Vulcans.-1st colony to be colonixed outside starsystem. What happened to the Vaga colony, or Alph Centari

(5) Utopia Plantia fleet yard astablished b4 Mars colonized

(6)Transporters-in 2151

(7) Romulan cloaking technology- in 2151 ( see TOS-"Balance of Terror") Romulan's cloaking technology a big surprise in 2245!

(8)First contact with klingon Empire in 2151- Capt. Picard clearly stated that first contact was in 2215 and was a disaster-resulting in years of conflict.

(9)first contact with Borg-frozen since "First Contact"-no historical regarding them or Archer's contact with them in Database-til Picard's time....not likely.

Archer's great-grandfather fought in Eugenic War.......at first I looked at this as a bad continuity error....as Eugenic war 1992-1996....but if you consider Khan was frozen for hundreds of years b4 Kirk "woke" him up....maybe the date khan gave(1996)...was a mistake. Slight Brain Damage/Degeneration of mental factaties could account for the mistake...and if you move the date to 2042-2046- it fits!

Well b4 sunrise, Headborg awoke to find one of the two misterious visitors missing, seeing the young lad still asleep I slip out of the hut....feeling somewhat stronger now.....why? what kind of witchcraft is this? where did the lad come from? and the new strange ship off-shore? Why did this strange lad suddenly apair? and most of all the young lad strongly resembles a mermaid I once dreamed off! Or was it a dream at all? I order the sailor on watch to gather a search-party quietly with torches lit / cutlass drawn we follow the blood trail into the dark jungle....I don't like strangers suddenly showing up while I'm ill, but if this one bleeds, I know I can get some answers from him....the young lad I can deal with later, he seems familar...and I don't precieve him as a threat. My Yoman reports...strange sounds could be hear coming from the jungle the last few nites and the natives were frightened...the claim a tribe from a naighboring island is canabals and have been known to land on the far side of the island..and hunt and kill people who wonder off alone. Hope to find Simrode b4 they do. Will have to deel with them before leaving the island, not much hope Jeanway will receive my message...althought I used my best bird...seems unlikely. The broken mast/battle damage to the "Bonaventure" almost complete....good crew...outstanding 1st Officer....I was worried they might leave me here to rot, but I think not! Drake's death 5 months ago hit the crew hard.

it's just an idea to solve the plot problems of (1) the Vulcan's have knowledge of the Romulans, past "history" with them.

(3) The Vulcan High-Command has a much more advanced/powerful starfleet in 2154/ there has to be an explaination as to where/what happened to it? Why is the Federation Starfleet dominataed by Earth Designed/Named Starships? where did all the Vulcan starships go?

Vulcans aren't interrested in conflict. When the Xindi attacked Earth, they had no interrest in going after the attackers, so it's logical to assume that the Vulcans would allow Earth's Starfleet to become the dominant force. As for where the Vulcan fleet went... perhaps they are orbitting Vulcan?

1-continuity has been broken so many times by B&B- that a little more wouldn't hurt, it already looks like swiss cheese and Enterprise is still making more holes! The xendi arc, doesn't seem to be arc'ing, it's a full departure. It seems they will now be a "new" founding member of the Federation! Imagine that! a technologically superior founding member of the Federation-with members serving on Enterprise-J.....funny they must have been completely "fogotten" members of the federation all this time-Kirk's day, Picard, Voyager, Ds9. The Romulan War-between Earth and Romulas could still start out between the Vulcan's and Romulans without violation 35 years of continuty...When we Americans talk of WW2- we often say it was between us and Germany...we don't always go into details like- oh yea, it started 3 years eariler when Hitler invaded Poland, then western europe....so adding more details like the Romulan War beginning between them isn't that big a deal.

2. the mess? see "enterprise bashing" and the fact that 90% of the Trek Fans at the Chicago convention in April--booded when Nimoy asked what we thought about the new "enterprise"-sorry I was there heard for myself...there's alot going on that shouldn't be happening this early in "trek history" and most of it is "continuity" related. It's still a great show...

3. plot problem-Vulcan's knowing about the Romulans/ T'Pol is vulcan, Earth has contact with the Vulcans..the Vulcans gave Starfleet a Database..so they could find their way around "sorta a hichhiker's guide"...but Archer doesn't seem to be familar with the there "Romulan Star Empire' and T'Pol hasn't been forth coming with any information...information that should be "common knowledge" to all Vulcans.....I'd call that a plot problem.

i consider myself a "constructive basher"- I'm a Star Trek fan/ Trekker- and I don't like it when the Francise/ history of the Star Trek is re-written and torn down like it's being done now. The origional premise of the show was the "birth of the Federation" not the Archer show! Did Kirk, Picard, Janeway have someone always popping in from the future-violating the Tempral Prime Directive and telling them how important to the future they were! how they had to live, because without them the whole Federeration won't come about......people really..they were great captains cause they did it on their own-right. The federation came about by the will of peace-loving people and cultures gathering together for the common defense, and good of the whole. Not because of a tempral paradox-created because of advise from the future. It's like the argument could u go back in time and invent something...using your future knoledge of it. It's really sad.

My thoughts were that the "X" in NX-01 was for "experimental". If such is the case once you build another isnt it no longer considered an experiment. Should the title be changed?

I think they should start using the NX after a couple of ships, unless all of them are of an experimental design...

I'd also like to see more of the Daedalus-classes as we move more towards the Romulan/Earth War....

yes, the Nx-01 should be re-regestered ncc-01 - making the "nx class" the first "enterprise class" starships, and I've thought of a new idea of how to give Earth a hand in the Romulan Wars- why not show the Daedalus class ships already exist! The Enterprise "nx" warp-5 program(and the show) are using a modified Akira class model turned upside down(there's no up/or down in space- so it's the same)for enterprise(which is 200 years ahead of it's time/ U can't have a starfleet-without ships! Why not show Earth franticically trying to modifie the "old" Daedalus class starships to accept the new warp-5 "Archer" engine, but because of the spherical designed main hull- and the fact that the Daedalus wasn't designed originally for warp-5/ the writers can claim that as the reason the spherical hulls of the Daedalus lost favor and most starship designs since have been sausers. Trip/ t''pol could run their own "computer simulations" and try to warn starfleet- that the old ships will be ripped apart if they try to get up to warp-5, so "enterprise-nx" class ships will still be faster, more advanced ships than the "old" war horses!(the Daedalus class)-what do u think?

The crew discovers a genetic equivalent to Noah's Ark on an ice planet, which is a radically different type of "space shuttle" design made specifically for travel to mars, but got detoured somehow (thinking an alpha quadrant equivalent of the device that dragged Voyager to the Delta Quadrant).

ok-but does it have to be a earth designed ship-meant for mars? Right there you run into alot of Star Trek Canon- historical space-flight chronology problems. how about an alien ark?

Ok- I know I'm beating a tired horse here but- that Romulan war is 2 years away. I've had some new thoughts on the subject. (1) the vulcans know about the Romulan Star Empire-because the romulans are basically warrior vulcans! they had a war already with them. (2) during the nx-01 period the Vulcan's are shown to

have a large StarFleet and Earth starfleet is peanuts-. So why not begin with Romulans attacking the Vulcans-the Vulcans will tell Earth to stay-out of it/Earth will look on like America during the early world wars....build up the Earth Starfleet while the Vulcan starfleet gets slowly destroyed over the next 2 seasons...Earth will begin to Lean-Lease to the Vulcans(like America did for England). Cloaked Romulan ships will ambush(in Wolf packs...like U-boats) merchant shipping and will at some point destroy 1 to many Earth ships....drawing Earth into the conflict....thus

explaining the rise(domance) of Earth's starfleet...and the demise of the Vulcan "high command" and it's powerful starfleet.
