  1. What kind of information are you looking for? Information regarding ships that have been seen on Television... etc?

One of the best sites I have found for Star Trek information regarding Star Trek Vessels is Ex Astris Scientia. If this is not the information that you are looking for then send another post.

  2. When ever I need some motivation, I play "Onslaught" by Blues Traveler (from their album "Travelers And Thieves, and it does the trick.

Lies, well they're OK...more elaborate every day

Truth well it's here too...What can you make it do for you?

Greed it's just a drive...Do what you can to stay alive

Peace, it's just a dream...so rock and roll and kick and scream

    .

Now won't you tell me if you like what you've just heard?

And if you think the point I'm driving at absurd

Well there's no need to tell me how or tell me why

But I need to know the reason not to try

Cause if you look around you might just feel like me

And you might notice no one was ever really free

And maybe, just maybe for now that's how it's supposed to be

Could be so far we've only earned the right to barely see

    .

The poison has infected you...have no fear I'm infected too

War they come and go...no telling where the wind will blow

Pain was always there...sad reminder that you care

Hate, the price you pay...for thinking you got the only way

    .

Now won't you tell me if you like what you've just heard?

And if you think the point I'm driving at absurd

Well there's no need to tell me how or tell me why

And maybe, just maybe for now that's how it's supposed to be

Could be so far we've only earned the right to barely see

Barely see, barely see, barely see, barely see, let's see...

    .

For your parents Ellis Island, what had they gone through?

And if you descend from the Mayflower, well they were running too

They were running from England, they were warring with France

Who would conquer Spain given half a chance

But it was the Muslims who had gotten there first

When there wasn't the bloodshed then there was the thirst

And a hate for the Christians, the infiltrators of Rome

You know that once mighty empire who made Africa home

The poor noble Egyptians, oh the hardships they braved

Remembering the good times, with Judea enslaved

And the Israelite nation, the very children of God

Killing Palestine's children, and I'm finding it odd

The Earth, a piece of fruit, don't blame the maggots when they loot

Life's just a game we play, try to live just one more day

Space, our final hope...throw the drowning man a rope

The choice is for us to say, completely change or fade away.

    .

Now won't you tell me if you like what you've just heard?

And if you think the point I'm driving at absurd

    .

I really couldn't say for sure

    Like everyone else I know

I'm just looking for the cure

  3. Also keep in mind that we can't consider anything in the books as canon. The population will range in size from day to day, week to week because ships are in and out all the time.

I consider the DS9: Technical Manual to be canon VBG.

    ST: DS9 Technical Manual

    Page 106

Section 12.4 Crew and Resident Quarters; Second Paragraph

Some 452 large residential quarters were originally constructed by the Cardassians, reserved for high-ranking officers.  Another 231 smaller quarters were assigned to lower-ranking officers and some Bajoran nationals working for the Cardassians.  The current habitat ring assignments are given to Starfleet and Bajoran crews, diplomats and other dignitaries, and some commercial operators and transient ship crews.

A total of 343 additional quarters are maintained in the Mid-Core for overflow transient ship crews, for some engineering and security support personnel, and as contingency accommodations for evacuees or refugees.

So you all can see that the station can hold quite a few people!

  4. DS9 was a little mistake off the creators off Startrek, but they made it up with VOY and ENT

so DS9 has no Fav Quoters!!

    :dude:

My dear ikbefgraagseven you could not be farther from the truth.

Deep Space Nine was the best damned modern Trek series to be produced. If you would like to continue this rhetoric then do so somewhere else.

  5. Some Of My Favorites...

"All I ask is a tall ship, and a load of contraband to fill her with" -- Quark

"I suppose your gods are less vague?" -- Kira

"Our gods are dead. Ancient Klingon warriors slew them a millenium ago." -- Worf

"I guess I'll never understand Klingons." -- Kira

"Don't worry Major. Nobody does." ... [whispered] "They like it that way." -- O'Brien

"You know what I like about Klingon stories? Nothing. A lot of people die, and nobody makes a profit." -- Quark

"I am First Omet'iklan, and I am dead. As of this moment, we are all dead. We go into battle to reclaim our lives. This we do gladly, for we are Jem'Hadar. Remember, victory is life." -- Jem' Hadar First

"I am Miles O'Brien and I am very much alive. And I wish to stay that way." -- O-Brien

"That's why you came to me, isn't it, Captain? Because you knew I could do those things that you weren't capable of doing? Well, it worked. And you'll get what you want: a war between the Romulans and the Dominion. And if your conscience is bothering you, you should soothe it with the knowledge that you may have just saved the entire Alpha Quadrant. And all it cost was the life of one Romulan senator, one criminal, and the self-respect of one Starfleet officer. I don't know about you, but I'd call that a bargain." -- Garak

    One Of My Personal Favorites

"Maybe, just maybe, Benny isn't the dream: we are. Maybe we're nothing more than figments of his imagination. For all we know, at this very moment, somewhere, far beyond all those distant stars... Benny Russell is dreaming of us." -- Sisko

"Of all the stories you told me, which ones were true and which ones weren't?" -- Bashir

"My dear Doctor, they're all true..." -- Garak

    "Even the lies?" -- Bashir

    "Especially the lies." -- Garak

"Lying is a skill like any other and if you want to maintain a level of excellence you have to practice constantly." -- Garak

"Practice on someone else." -- Worf

  6. Thanks.  I guess it was just future + Sphere = Borg in my mind...like maybe the Enterprise J was at some final borg invasion?

The conclusion seems logical to me. Who knows, the writers might throw a Borg curve ball our way.

    The Possiblities Are Endless.

  7. A good episode. I gave it an 8.

    Click for Spoiler:

I loved the display image of the Enterprise J. However if and when Archer is successful with the restoration of the timeline and taming of the Xindi threat then I believe that this ship will not exist.

This episode definately adds a new light to the Xindi conflict, and I can not wait to see how the Suliban fit in (if at all). The special effects in this episode show that the effects crews have been hard at work. The crewman floating into space was nothing more than amazing.

  8. Star ships dont need dry dock because they their in space where there is no water and no annoying barnicales to attacth to the ship

Yeah, but the term "Dry Dock" is still used in Trek, King, even though starships are in space. Interesting, hunh?

I mean who would have thunk it?

    ;)
