  1. Sorry, Slam Poetry is awesome, but I don't write in that style. I leave that one to my favorite slam poet: Saul Williams.

This is my style of poetry...

I had the following poem published in 1997, enjoy.

    Inspriations

    My point of inspiration gone.

    Melted like snow,

In the presence of a warming sun.

I shall follow her no more,

    Thy will is done.

As the sun sets it's final time,

    I shall say goodbye

    And leave with it,

    Never to be seen again,

    In the same light.

  2. I thought it was funny that in a previous topic ("Hello" ) started by Peronal Jesus, you

(Shadowfigment) actually replied to your own posting.  Amusing, but I suppose you were just trying to bump it?

Actually I did this to try and cover the fact that "shadowfigment" and "Personal Jesus" could not be logged in at the same time, (since I only have one internet computer at my access).

  3. I saw most of the first season but I got really lost after that - I couldn't keep track of all the alliances and whether Tyr was a good guy or bad guy. :)

Tyr is neither a good guy or a bad guy. He is in an alliance with Dylan for his best interest, nothing more. Everything a Nietzschean (pronounced: Nee-chee-an) does is for the betterment of themselves and themselves alone.

  4. The paper was pretty lengthy. I used two other sites, besides this one.

I found out (from the other two sites, which shall remain nameless) that more people were offeneded with the negative images (devils, pentagram, upside down anhks, etc...) than with more positive images (crosses, jesus figures, etc.). Almost no one was offended by the name Personal Jesus, and almost everyone was offeneded by the signature text (which varied, I used Depeche Mode's "Personal Jesus" on this site, and I used XTC's "Dear God" on the others).

Due to the length of the paper I probably will not post it. But it was a very interesting experiment, and I hope that I do not have to do another like it.

Once again, let me apologize for anyone I might have upset with the account Personal Jesus.

    :)

  5. 1. Never My Love.... The Association

    2. Unchained Melody.... The Righteous Brothers

    3. Dream a Little Dream of Me.... The Mamas and Papas

    4. The One.... Elton John.

    5. The Summer Wind.... Frank Sinatra

"The One" is one of Sir Elton's best songs IMO. The lyrics are posted below.

    Click for Spoiler:

    The One

I saw you dancing out the ocean

    Running fast along the sand

A spirit born of earth and water

    Fire flying from your hands

In the instant that you love someone

In the second that the hammer hits

    Reality runs up your spine

    And the pieces finally fit

And all I ever needed was the one

Like freedom fields where wild horses run

When stars collide like you and I

    No shadows block the sun

    You're all I've ever needed

    Baby you're the one

    There are caravans we follow

    Drunken nights in dark hotels

When chances breathe between the silence

Where sex and love no longer gel

For each man in his time is Cain

Until he walks along the beach

And sees his future in the water

A long lost heart within his reach

  6. Just got back from sampling some Soundgarden. I can't believe I like grunge! Guess it all depends on the artist. This is some really good stuff - thanks again! :assimilated:

My personal favorites of Soundgarden are...

The Day I Tried To Live, Black Hole Sun, Fell On Black Days, Pretty Noose, Burden In My Hand, Blow Up The Outside World, and Nothing To Say.

If you are looking for the songs of Soundgarden that recieved the most radio play and most acclaim, then I recomend "Soundgarden A-Sides." It is the closest thing they have to a Greatest Hits that I have found.

    Enjoy!

  7.

Very good selections, however Crystal Bernard sings "Forever Tonight" with Peter Cetera, not Amy Grant.  A classic song indeed.

Who the heck is Crystal Bernard? :)

Crystal Bernard was the waitress on the sitcom "Wings." She tried her hand at a music career, but it did not pan out. But the song, did very well for a while.

  8. It was named Sedna (catalog name: 2003 VB12). Sedna was the "goddess of the sea for Arctic dwellers." Which is a fitting name since it is the coldest place in the currently known Solar System (Temp is estimated at -240C / -400F).

The following site will give you some more information and estimated orbit for this new plaetoid.
