This question may be off topic but is Denobula or whatever Phlox's homeworld is called a member of the Federation? I know it wasn't a founding member.
And what does it mean if he holds up that device thingy and it makes a sound like a toilet flushing? :) :)

I like Phlox too, to me he acts as the one who keeps thinks in perspective on Enterprise when everything goes nuts and stuffs blowing up. He's got to deal with both the physical and emotional problems of the crew, try that and keep a positive attitude like he does. :)

I have to say that I like both. A nice one shot episode is good but I also like following a good story arc from episode to episode. I think a really good writing team could do both maybe. I mean have episodes that you can watch alone without having seen the others but still enjoy and at the same time have something there for the diehard viewers who watch every week. I think DS9 did a very good job if this with it's Dominion storylines and I think Enterprise has done a good job of that this last season.

That evening Fenriz and Jeanway were sitting at the stern of the Elusive, feeding each other oranges and watching the sun set on the horizon. Fenriz held a piece of fruit to Jeanway's mouth "We still have plenty of these." he said, commenting on the fruit he was holding. "Aye." Jeanway agreed. Watching some of the crew stowing away cargo they brought over from the Batavia he went on "I see we're doing a little trading with the Batavia and the Bonaventure." Jeanway wiped some juice off of her chin and looked across the water at the Bonaventure anchored for the night a short distance away. Backlit by the setting sun, it's sails were furled, a small boat from the Elusive was rowing towards it. "Lwaxana wanted to trade away some of our excess rum for some more provisions. We have too much of the bloody stuff anyway so I agreed." Jeanway answered as she put a piece of orange in Fenriz's mouth. A loud smash came from the deck as one of the sailors dropped a crate which smashed open sending parsnips rolling everywhere, chased by cursing men. Chewing for a moment Fenriz and Jeanway watched the commotion until Fenriz swallowed the fruit and turned to look at Jeanway. In the waning light he studied her, a gentle breeze caught her hair, looking at him she smiled. "I wonder..." Fenriz began. "What?" Jeanway asked. "Do you own a dress Love?" he asked. Caught off guard for a second she recovered and answered "I do actually, yes. It's been a long time since I've had reason to wear it though." Fenriz smiled at her "Will you wear it tomorrow night, at dinner in your cabin, just the two of us?" "For you Love anything, but you have to wear your best uniform for me." she countered. Taking her hand in his Fenriz pulled her close to him and kissed her tasting the juice from the orange on her lips.

Fenriz found Lwaxana in the mess pealing potatoes. Not looking up from what she was doing when he entered she asked "Anything I can do for ya, Fenriz?" Closing the door behind him Fenriz lowered his voice "As a matter of fact, yes you can." Looking up at him, she cocked her head to the side and let him continue. "I want you to prepare a special meal for the Admiral tomorrow night, in her quarters. Something for the two of us." Putting the potato she was pealing down she pressed her finger to her lips and thought for a moment, then answered "Well, I'll be needin' some help if I'm to do that and still fill the crew's bellies, and the ship's stores aren't running over with fine fare at the moment. I suppose I could barter with the Batavia and the Bonaventure, trade away some of this rum that we seem to be drowning in." Relieved Fenriz exhaled "I'll send Crunch and Snader to help you and I have a sizable purse of coins that I'll give you to buy whatever you can from the other ships, will that help?" Coming over to him and patting him on the shoulder she moved him towards the door. "This all has something to do with that heavy sewing needle you asked me for a few days ago doesn't it" Lwaxana asked him. "Yep, it does but keep this quiet, I want this to be a surprise." he replied. "Don't worry, now go. I have a lot of work to do and it's almost supper time and the crew will be gettin' hungry." and with that she shoved him out of the door.

The crew of the Elusive busied themselves doing what they could to assist the crew of the damaged vessel from the East. Fenriz watched as Worf hustled Doc Niel across the gangplank to the Kongou Maru, occasionally giving the surgeon a rough shove to hurry his pace. "I'm goin' ye bloody Klingon." the doctor protested.
Passing Fenriz the doctor smiled at him "I hear I ruin'd one o' ye shirts when I was kidnapped and left in the care a' this damned oaf here." Doc Niel said as he trundled by, clutching his medical bag. "Sorry 'bout that, I owe ye a new shirt then, eh?" he added before Worf thrust him forward and across the plank to the exotic ship. "Careful ye ape, I fall inta the water and the crew be doctorin' them selves now." Shaking his head, Fenriz watched Doc Niel introduce himself to a grey-haired man on the Kongou Maru, who led him to his patients. Turning to go in search of Lwaxana, Fenriz said a slient prayer for the wounded on the Kongou "May God deliver them from the ministrations of that sadist of a doctor." Descending the rises he winced when screams of pain began coming from the Kongou Maru accompanied by a voice with a thick Scottish accent.

I think she's talking about trial and error, like if you've got a big bunch of wires and you need to find the live one so you bite them one by one by one until you get a jolt, you may be singed but now you know which one is P. :)

Don't forget that SPAM pays and Threads get closed when the mods can't take the heatNever forget it's easier to close a whole thread than just delete one post. :)

Come on Jeanway calm down ok, I blew it off, please do the same.I get it, it's not for you and that's perfectly fine.
It's not that, I just feel it's too condensed. I think a better idea would be to split it into three forums - politics, faith/religion, and debate.
I'm not (nor should anyone) judge people on whether or not they wanna get involved with Kronos topics, heck I'm the mod and I rarely get involved with them personally. I just over-see with my virtual yardstick at the ready.
Good one!
How about a quotemania forum?

Replace those pesky engines with a giant hamster wheel and make the crew take turns powering the ship.
Replace the Captain's readyroom.

I voted that I'd fall asleep, I've seen the first have of TFOTR about 2 dozen times and the 2nd half twice.

My suggestion is that before posting in a topic, read the previous posts.Read them and try to understand what the writer said. Then join the conversation with your own comments, or refrain from posting if you do not really have anything to add to the conversation.
Reading before posting may slow down posting, but it also may help to have conversation.
It's not just a posting race...you should try to have conversations.
That's good advice, I've caught myself almost posting the same comments twice in a thread a few days apart until I scrolled up a ways. Doesn't say much for my short-term memory does it?

I think it did

5. Do away with "Kronos". I don't see why a Star Trek site should have an "adult section" anymore than a theme park should have an "adult book store".

I think of Kronos as a forum where the threads get heated, lots of political opinions thrown around, not as an "adult" forum. I think it should stay so those who want to talk about topics that draw out strong feelings can post without censoring themselves too much, I don't recall ever seeing a thread in there that was "adult book store" -like. Keep the politics in one forum so it doesn't spill out into the other threads , easier to avoid those discussions if you want to that way.

Cool link. To ask another question, does anyone know where online someone might have posted a fairly detailed history of the Federation? Something with some details, not just a summary?
