The best of British luck to ya!! -
I believe only in those that haunt our mind. These can be good or bad depending on the deeds that we have carried out and my manifest themselves before us if we dwell in them too much. Whatever you think you have gotten away with, you haven't with the most important person: YOURSELF!Very true!! BTW i love the avatar

A recent ghost story… There is an alley behind a fence in our back yard; everyday the local kids are out there raising Cain. In the course of their playing, rocks and garbage and balls find it’s way into our yard. I do not mind the balls and when I find them I throw them back over the fence no problem but the rocks and garbage have caused a rift between them and myself to form, (Haha! I have become that crotchety old fart!) I threatened them many time I was gonna get a picture of them to give to the cops and one day I surprised them by doing just that. When I got the film developed I was the one surprised to see there is a sharply focused smoky, nebula almost totally obliterating the print. It is my belief I captured a photo of an evil something which hangs around this group of kids forcing them to misbehave. I will bring the print to the con.SPOOKY!! look forward to seeing the print. Thanks for sharing that story. Anybody else got any spooky, or just downright weird tales? I'd love to hear them.

There is a programme in England called Most Haunted, where ghost watchers go to supposedly haunted sites around Britain for 24 hours. Th team includes parapsycologists, a medium, a sceptic as well as a presenter and production crew. There has been some compelling evidence to support the existence of ghost's. I personally believe there is something beyond death. DO YOU?

I find it very difficult to sleep, that's why i watch so much Trek. It usually relaxes me enough to eventually fall asleep.... still it was about 5 a. m this morning when i finally dropped off. -
It would be goodbye i'm afraid. I watch at least one episode of Trek every day, so i think it is a case of COULDN'T rather than wouldn't give it up for me. -

Of course there are corrupt religious leaders. . Not all religious leaders ARE corrupt. The only reason I liked Bareil is because he seemed to be honest in his beliefs. On the other hand, absolute power DOES corrupt absolutely. The blending of church and state on Bajor just is a sign that you must be cautious of the politics AND the religion if that happens!
You make a good point here Lady Narana, as does DDillard, regarding political and religous power being usurped by one individual. A very potent mix. Perhaps one couldn't fail to become " corrupt" weilding that kind of power? Maybe Winn's unethical behaviour is a natural consequence brought on by the strain of so much power and responsibility, who knows. I also agree with you that not all RL are corrupt, and with ddillard that because our RL have no political power as such they can't be compared to Winn. However i have no doubt that there are individuals who use the power they do have in ways, both unethical and immoral, that they were not meant to be used.

DS9 Avatar book two. -
Micheal Westmore has been doing makeup for Trek since the premiere of TNG (perhaps even before that on TOS films.)I thought a great job was done on Goldberg in Times Arrow to make her look younger than she had looked on previous episodes of the NG, I think they could easily pull that part of it off.
Maybe.
As for the story, how about she is doing the same thing as we saw her doing in TA, except not being at Earth? She could be visiting another world, which happens to coincide with a visit from our heroes onboard the ENT? For me, a simple cameo would be enough to make me happy and that might better serve canon but if we must have the story center around her, perhaps it could be about that one rebel child she spoke of (?)
That's a really good basis for a storyline Alterego. I know they don't accept scripts from fan's anymore but it isn't a script is it, just an idea. Couldn't you submit it with all the member names on this board to back you and see what happens.

For all UK viewers, Patrick Stewart is in the film Safe House on Saturday @ 9p.m.on the Hallmark channel. He plays an ageing secret service agent and it is hilarious. Definately one to record.

The only humiliating moment i had was on this board. I was replying to the " have you ever refused to watch a star trek series" post. I said that i refused to watch DS9 'cos i was so indignant and annoyed that they'd stopped making TNG, and that it was a good couple of seasons at least before i watched it on VHS. Someone( yes Sam the Smuggler you know who you are ) pointed out that TNG was still running when DS9 first aired. I felt sooooo stupid. But it is true. TNG had stopped airing a long time before i watched DS9. -
When I was in second grade...1979 or 80...I got into a little fight with a classmate. I tried to apply the Vulcan Death Grip to the kid. lolLOL!! EXCELLENT.
