  1. Yes, we visited Victoria when we went whale watching, its really nice there as well. The only thing that I found a bit out of place in the British pubs was that the staff were too nice, if they wanted to make it authentically British they should have had some 15/16 year old girl taking the orders while looking like she would rather be somewhere else and responding to questions in a rude and sharp manner.

LOL How true that is TM.

  2. I agree, I think the PM would like to rid himself of the trouble a referendum might cause. If we (the people of the UK) do not get a say in the future of our country by having a referendum, then I might as well vote BNP, because if I wanted a fascist party to run the country I would have voted for one!

The problem that the Prime Minister has is that Europe have threatened to give the UK less of a say in European policy if we do not join the single currency, however the euro does not meet all of the 5 economic tests, hence joining now would completely cripple our economy. My personal view is that we should not be forced into joining something that would not be of benefit to the people of the UK and if the European Union really wants to decrease the power of the UK in Europe then I believe that the UK should decrease funding to Europe, and as the UK is one of the member countries who pays among the highest amounts....

Totally agree TM. You're spot on with all the points you make, especially about decreasing funding in ratio to the threatened decrease of UK power. Ever thought of becoming a politician? I'm sure you'd make a better job of it than the self serving lot we've got.

  3. Well i have to agree with you all, i certainly feel a closer bond with America, but Blair is determined to sell us down the river where Europe is concerned. There will be no referendum 'cos he knows the majority will vote no. We'll be ruled by Brussels before you can say" There's a fight!.....oh! WHERE HAVE THE FRENCH GONE". I just hope it doesn't damage relations with America 'cos unlike Blair thay can see Europe for what it is.........

  4. NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NOOOOOOO!!!!!!! I strongly object. It is getting to the point now where it's like we can just push anything into Enterprise, from other shows just because it CAN be done. How is Enterprise ever going to establish it's own identity and gather it's own sense of originality when it is being a junk yard for things from other shows. I can't understand why so many people want to sacrifice it's independence with these ridiculous links from other shows. Just because it CAN be done doesn't mean it SHOULD be done. We have already had Vulcans, Klingons, Andorians, Tribbles, Tholians, Tellarites, Borg, Ferengi and talk of Sarek and William Shatner. This is all just old hat. Now if Guinan were to pop up as well worked into a scipt some how I just think that it would nucleat the Star Trek universe and make it far far too small. It's a big galaxy - we dont need any more left overs dumped on the show, for the sake of originality and style. There's the odd clever link and then there's this tacky idea.

You make a good point, but for me there is nothing more enticing than meeting someone you know all about, that the crew doesn't. I love the familiarity of a well established character, who can enhance the series. Look at Worf in DS9?You can't say the series wasn't better for having him in it. And i LOVED "Relics"( TNG) with James Doohan, made me feel all nostalgic. IMO an ep with Guinan would be great. It doesn't have to be a whole ep about her, just a cameo.

  5. Holodeck, without a doubt. My first two holodeck programmes would be Trip 1 and Riker 1 :)

You have great taste! Of course my programs would go something like Riker 1, Riker 2, Riker 3....... Nudge%20Nudge.gif

LOL. I see your point, you never could get enough os spending time with Riker.

  6. JAG. It was after 9/11 and this guy was interviewing an AL Queda suspect at, i presume, camp x ray. The terrorist actually quoted The Prime Directive( non interference in other cultures). From this they realised that he had grown and been educated in America. Wasn't really watching it,( it's my mum who loves it) just poked my head up when i heard reference to the above, but it would appear he was a bit of a trekkie this terrorist.......well , except he had no conscience or respect for human life.
