  1. OK, my scores with getting through airport security:

Yesterday, I got searched for the 10th time within the past three months. That's every time I've flown.

Today, while unpacking, I found my 6th TSA baggage search card in my largest suitcase.

And all because my credit card doesn't show the apostrophe in my name, and the TSA programs don't like that... (hyphens can cause the same problems, I hear. One of the TSA baggage-search guys told me while another was wanding me.)

So, anybody got a higher incidence? :spock:

  2. Thanks everyone, the show was great. Started at 7:40pm and ended at 10:45pm (with a 20 minute intermission).

I'll be posting a Mood of the moment shortly... lol

The Mood of the moment's are in offtopic stuff, right? I think I saw one...

Anyways, glad you had a good time! Ears still ringing? :spock:

  3. Red Hot Chili Peppers, "Aeroplane" for the seventh time in a row. Next, I'm putting on Paul Simon's Graceland, and then some Big Bad Voodoo Daddies, that is if I can stop playing "Call Me Al" repeatedly.

I love Graceland! :spock: Right now I'm listening to Lady Marmalade

I'm now blasting "I Know What I Know". Just finsihed "The Boy In The Bubble", two reps.

Who sings that song, again? (Lady Marmalade) I love it, but never get around to finding out...

  4. And what's with the 'guy' network thing, anyway? Just as many (or nearly) girls love Trek...

Anyways, that's the only channel that I get with TNG, so I have to put up with it.  :spock:

HEY NOW, WE NEED A NETWORK FOR US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! chics got a few of their own networks. so give us one.there are quite a few specific networks, its about time theres one for guys in general.

Yes, but since when has any sane, well-adjusted woman with an IQ over 90 and a life watched Lifetime or any of its clones?

And guess what? Compared to Spike TV, that's looking pretty attractive. It's trite, but it can't be a fraction as crass.

  5. Hey, what about kids who want to be medical examiners? Kids can't keep their innocence for all that long... and at least this one supports the good guys.

They could watch the Discovery channel. It has the science without Lady Heather

I agree with what everyone else said parents should take some responsibility.

True on the Lady Heather part, but it's not as if they've never seen/heard anything like it before.

And Discovery channel can get boring for younger kids. Besides, sometimes what they show is more graphic as CSI.

  6. Get well soon, CJLP... and don't eat the hospital beef broth, it tastes worse than everything else combined. Stick with the chicken-stuff.

Hope to see you back soon!

Wait, about the chicken-stuff-- if you happen to be in Georgetown or Hopkins, never mind that. ANYTHING'S better than THAT! (Yes, including the beef broth).

Believe me, I know :spock: .

    Get well soon!

  7. Found this on a site in the humor forum.

Oh, come on, don't try and act like you thought it would never happen...

Given that the Kirk/Picard debate has continued unabated for over 8 years now, I think it's time for...

    Janeway vs. Kirk and Picard

    1. Understands technobabble, so she knows when the Chief Engineer is lying to her about repair times.

    2. Has more hair than Kirk and Picard combined. (Even before Bill Shatner's hairpiece...)

    3. Cracks up off-duty crew with her wacky Catherine Hepburn impressions.

    4. Can say "Break out the compression phaser rifles" with a completely straight face.

    5. Has a 'Significant other', a dog and a career, unlike previous captains whose 'meaningful relationships' never spanned two episodes.

    6. Proudly took her Starfleet Oath of Loyalty as a cadet, but giggled all through the part about the Prime Directive.

    7. Has ordered Sciences to replicate 1,000,000 "Janeway or the highway!" bumper stickers to slap on passing starships.

    8. Commands the first crew in starfleet who actually all wear the same style uniforms.

    9. Has mastered a facial expression universally understood by all sentient lifeforms to mean, "Boy, Paris, are you ever stupid".

    10. Maintains an elaborate hairdo that would baffle even Princess Leia; apperently without the aid of hairpins (or, if pins are present, carries a small arsenal of them for use as lockpicks, weapons, tools for repairing subspace relays, etc.)

  8. What about episodes like "Yesterdays Enterprise", TNG, where it manages to be understandable? Those are my preferred time-travel episodes... but I like 'em all. What's the name of the episode where the Voyager's frozen... same one mentioned earlier, I think...?
