    its my 3rd day, second day posting, and i already have posted 66 times, is that good? or is that bad? and i was wondering, culd i get in trouble for posting to much?!!?!?!?

    errr, just wondering!!!

    We've had some members in the past that posted quite frequently, I think I remember AdmiralPeeWee getting to Commander in about a week and a half.

    I made it to Commander pretty quickly, and then had to vanish for a month or two. I'm back now.

     

    It's normal enough. You're among fellow geeks. :force:

    This stuff is really good--I got it to work after about half an hour, which is no small feat with my lack of technical skills.

     

    Why it's useful:

    1) Writing fanfic--you can see what stars are close to each other and how--in 3D

    2) Helps with stargazing

    3) It's really, really fun!

     

    The download takes awhile, but it's worth it. Just be sure you unzip the downloads in the same folder!

    OK, I can't remember the names of two episodes, and I'm not sure about the name of a third. Coincidentally, they all involce Dr. Crusher. Help? And does anyone know what seasons?

     

    1) The episode where Dr. Crusher finds out that her family has been having relations with this green energy-thing. She tries to retire, and I remember her eyes turning green. Picard suspects that something's wrong.

     

    2) The one where Picard and Crusher are kidnapped and become telepathic.

     

    3) I think the name's "Remember", but I'm really not sure... the one where Dr. Crusher gets trapped in a warp bubble and people start vanishing from the Enterprise.

     

    I know these are stupid questions, but is anyone willing to help me out?

    I voted Picard, of course.

     

    A note on Rachel Garret: we only see her in what, 1 episode? How can you really get an estimate of a character from that? (Yes, we do see that she wants to return to duty... but so would practically everyone else)

     

    A note on Jellico: Votes for Jellico? Eek.

    Even though I have a wonderful family and wonderful friends I sometimes feel like I would give it all up just to be born say, in 200 years..

    I'm rather fond of our wacky timeframe, but... I'd love to be reincarnated in a few thousand years, or reincarnated a few thousand years ago! Or on a fantasy world... you get it. I'd like to travel.

     

    As for when we'll make it... changes happen in leaps and bounds. Who knows when the next will be?

     

    Meanwhile, there's always scifi and fantasy.

     

    As for Revelations: Christians have been saying it'd be soon since the religion began. No sign of it yet. There's no reason not to say 'it'll all happen in the distant future' if you believe, and meanwhile get on with your life. If you don't believe, then don't bother saying it will happen at all. Either way, religion should add to life... but not interfere with what we can accomplish.

    JAG or Navy NCIS?

     

    (I actually saw the pilot for NCIS being filmed in DC... it was really annoying because my friend and I turned a corner on a path and walked right into the middle of the set. We were humming something really loudly; the director was annoyed)
