  1. I remember well standing in a very very long line opening night to see it and was disappointed. The pacing was so slow that I wondered when it would end. After all of those years of waiting for Star Trek to return it wasn't a great experience. Consider a coupe of it's other names, Star Trek: The Motionless Picture, Star Trek: The Motion Sickness. It became the start of the original cast odd numbered movie curse. if it was an odd numbered trek movie it wasn't very good.

Of course the reason the movie series continued after an oft delayed over budget disappointing movie was because of the money it made, fans were dieing for anything new that was Trek. Some of you may not remember when there was no Star Trek other than reruns, but I do and they were not fun years.

  2. Shatner made a great romulan, I saw him years ago at a convention and he was still acting like a romulan. He was rude and arrogant and acted like the fans who were there and paid for him to be there were beneath him. Let's hope he has stopped that behavior since he now has a successful tv series and made a pile of money from the trek movies.

  3. The episode is terrible. It had Scotty acting like he had a school boy hormonal crush, and it was so sickeningly sweet that it made my fillings hurt. Of course look at who wrote it, Shari Lewis, as in Shari and Lambchop. Paramount was either really hard up for a script or wanted an episode nearly as bad as Spock's Brain to kill off the show. Episodes of this caliber along with the 10pm time slot killed a great show.

  4. Steve Ihnat did a great job of playing a genius that crossed the line into madness. They say that there is a thin line between genius and madness and this episode showed that well.

And let us not forget Yvonne Craig doing a fantastic job as Marta, some of the best work she ever did. And of course she looked incredibly sexy doing it. What man could resist her and why would he want to? I know I couldn't :nono:

  5. It is a shame that unfortunately it IS possible to be that stupid. For further proof of human stupidity just go to http://darwinawards to see plenty examples of human stupidity. Alas being accepted to a legendary institution of higher education does not mean you have common sense.

    SARCASM ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sure her parents are very proud of her common sense and the good judgement that their daughter has shown and the publicity it is garnering for their family.

  6. 4- Best season of the lot

    2- Better than the remainder

1- First season trying to find it's footing

3- Show killer, long, drawn out and boring, the whole season was SSDD (Same S _ _ _ Different Day)

  7. Better than The Trouble With Tribbles yet still had some dramatic moments. It had every bad gangster movie cliche ever done but with humor.

Imagine if that episode were done today Kirk's driving would be even worse when you add in the cell phone wedged between the shoulder and head, changing the stations on the radio (or changing a CD) and the left arm extended in the single digit salute. :)

  8. The Gorgon was the ultimate form of evil in the universe A TRIAL LAWYER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What amazes me is how bad of an actor Belli is, if you have spent as much time as I have in court observing lawyers (no not as a defendant!!!!! but as a paralegal student) you would see some oscar worthy performances.

I have seen better writing from high school remedial english students. How Paramount and NBC could have approved that script is beyond me. The worst of Gilligan's Island was better. Gilligan's Island was meant to be funny.

This episode ranks in the bottom 3 alongside Spock's Brain and The light's of Zetar. :)
