  1. I welcome critism of Enterprise. By no means is it a perfect show. But let's give them a few years to develop their own show. I have seen definate improvement in the quality of stories that were put out. Especially towards the end of season 2..I am excited about season 3..This show will keep getting better..Not fair comparing it to TNG whose run is over and had a successful 7 year run..Let's give Enterprise a chance..It keeps on improving for me..Who knows CE?..You may like season 3 a whole lot..

  2. I was looking at my Enterprise Cast photos and I saw something I hadn't noticed before. Doesn't Hoshi have the wrong color stripe on her uniform? Shouldn't the Communications Officer wear Red just like Uhura did? I associated those stripes with the TOS color scheme..Am I in error? Everyone else's stripe seems to match their TOS counterpart color..

  3. In my opinion, "the alternative factor" is one of the worst episodes of Star Trek ever written.  It is just so convoluted and disorganized.  Ughhh!  Still, any Star trek is good Trek!  Of couse, I wasn't counting Star Trek TMP!  But both are good in their own right.

But wasn't the question "What was the first Star Trek Episode that you saw"? Not which was the worse..And in my opinion ST:TMP is very underrated..I do like this movie a lot...

  4. ...isn't a regular cast member in every single episode?..A lot of the times Uhura, Sulu and Chekov didn't have a lot to do but they were in every episode..Even it's only in the background on the bridge.

Nope. Even the regs had time off. G. Takei, for example, was supposed to be in "Gamesters of Triskelion" and a couple of other eps, but his part(s) was/were given to Walter K. because Mr. Takei was elsewhere.

That's true enough..George had a couple of episodes off while he was making 'The Green Berets' I think it was..I believe The Trouble with Tribbles was one of those he missed..I also think that Nichelle missed one or two as well..But I still consider them Regular cast members..I just have a hard time thinking of Chapel in the same way..79 episodes and she was only in what 18 of them?..Personally I like the character and wish more was done with her. Maybe if TOS went further than 3 years..

I just think that Recuring Guest Star best describes her role on TOS..

  5. A Tardis is the only way to go.  Of course, getting lost in it all the time would be a pain, but hey, you don't need a transporter or a shuttle.  You just land it where you want to be.  It even hides itself.  Yep, definatetly a Tardis.

    ok, whats a Tardis?

It's from the Science Fiction show 'Doctor Who'..I believe it's a phone booth that's really a vehicle for travel..Yeah I know but anything is possible in SciFi!..It was a pretty cool show..I watched it a lot..The Tardis was a lot bigger inside than it looked from the outside...

  6. That is a difficult question to answer isn't it? I have always considered her a part of the Original cast. She is in all the Cast photos that I have seen..However isn't a regular cast member in every single episode?..A lot of the times Uhura, Sulu and Chekov didn't have a lot to do but they were in every episode..Even it's only in the background on the bridge..That's not the case with Chapel..She's not in every show..So I wouldn't consider her a regular character...Maybe a recurring regular character..They had a lot of those on DS9..

  7. Yeah, I voted for Ali..Can't help it..I remember those fights against Frazier vivdly..How can I vote for Rocky Marciano when I've never seen him fight?..Anyway I do think that Ali was the Greatest..(IMO)..Float like a Butterfly, Sting like a Bee..!

And I certainly hope that no one votes for Tyson..

  8. This was a tough choice.. I like the 'Mirror, Mirror' uniforms because they are different and they have that cool Gold sash around the waist..I also like The 'Enterprise' uniforms with all those useful pockets..And I came real, real close to voting for 'The Motion Picture' uniforms..I like them alot..But I did vote for the 'DS9/Voy' uniforms..I like the color schemes and the zippered collar with the different colored material underneath...

  9. When I first got into Trek, I had watched TOS re-runs, then got into TNG durring it's 4th or 5th season with a re-run of "The Best of Both Worlds".  My first Trek movie was "The Wrath of Kahn".  At the time, I thought it was the only Trek movie, and to be honest, I had no feeling of "To Be Continued..." at the end.  It just felt like a stand alone movie.  Imagine my surprise when I saw The Search for Spock!

Did you not see the last scene of the movie?..Spocks photon tube on the surface of Genesis surrounded by a Tropical Paradise..Or how about the scene right before that..Where Kirk is looking the Viewscreen and says "If Genesis is indeed life from death I must return here one day"..How is this not a cliffhanger?..If you saw this movie in the theatre when it was released you would have felt differently..So much emotion in that theatre...

  10. I've seen all 10 Star Trek movies at the Theatre. None of them were on opening night but the shows that I went to were packed for the first 8 movies..In fact for STTMP it was sold out and I had to go back for a later show!! I was disappointed in the Crowds during the last 2 Movies..Especially with Nemesis..I liked Nemesis alot and feel that the crowds should have been better..Perhaps it's when it was released..

  11. Wait.  If all you have are season sets, movies, and soundtracks...  does that still make you a fanatic? <_<

I think so but that's just me..What's the difference between a Fan and a Fanatic?..Seems to me it's a thin line..Isn't a Fanatic someone who is crazy over something and can't get enough of that one particular thing?..It's open to interpertation I think..

  12. I voted Fanatic. If you saw my home you would know why!..Star Trek stuff everywhere!..I watch and like all Trek series and Movies..There are some DS9 and Voyager episodes that I haven't seen yet but I'll get to watch them..Thank God for DVD season sets!
