I really wasn't going to buy the Directors Edition of Star Trek TMP..I remember at the time being disappointed with this movie. And of course it has received a lot bad comments in the past. But it is Star Trek so I did buy this DVD a short time ago. I was pleasantly surprised. I actually like this movie a lot. The story is quite good and I like the way it gave each of the main characters their own 'entrance'...(Kirk, Enterprise, McCoy, Spock)..I have watched this DVD several times and it is a wondeful addition to my Star Trek DVD collection...

Tough choice for me to make between Data and Worf..I like them both..I ended up going with Data..

I like Beverly Crusher. She is my favorite TNG female character..Tasha Yar comes in a close second. Too bad she only lasted 1 season..!

I voted for the Borg Queen..She was my favorite TNG Villain..She was pure evil..!

No question that I like Star Trek better than Star Wars..

I like TOS movies better than the original Star Wars Movies..

I like TNG movies better than the new Star Wars movies..

However..

I like the original Star Wars movies better than TNG movies..!

I voted for TOS movies. I just thought those movies were much better. I like all 6 of them. My favs are 2,4,6..The only TNG movie that comes close to those 3 is 'First Contact'...I do like TNG and I especially enjoyed watching it on TV for 7 years. They had a lot of good shows. I just think the movies could have been better..

I voted it is still good and relevant today..It's all about the stories that those episodes tell..They are still relevant in todays world..Amazing that I've seen each one of those episodes so many times. And I will still watch them on the Sci Fi channel and pop in a TOS DVD to watch. Those shows will always be special for me..It's where Roddenberry's vision of the future began..It's where Star Trek began...

I will be upset if no new series or movies are made..But I'll deal with it..After TOS and before ST TMP was tough but we got thru it. And things are much better now. With 5 TV series and 10 movies out and reruns on TV plus books and merchandise..STAR TREK WILL NEVER DIE...!

Of course I would go see the next Star Trek movie. Actually I'm hoping they try a different set of characters for the next one..

Yes, It's my favorite show on TV..I watch it everyweek weather it is a new show or a rerun..I'm very excited about season 3..I'm crazy about 'Enterprise'..!

I voted for a Holodeck. Let's be honest--Who wouldn't want to own one?! Can you image the fun one could have with it? Certainly wouldn't be a need for TV programs anymore..Talk about entertainment!..But I would like to see Holodecks, Transporters and Replicators become a reality..That would be so cool.. :lol:

I very much enjoyed reading this post. This is a very enjoyable Star Trek site. I've been trying to place my finger on what is so different about this site..Part of it is the lack of pop ups and banners. That certainly is wonderful. :lol: I was reconmended this site by someone at another Trek message board. This one is much, much better..Thank you so much..

Definately Data is my favorite Next Generation character..Although Riker is a close second...It doesn't feel right that Data is gone..I hope he comes back somehow..

I have heard about the episode 'Flashback'..But I have yet to see it..I will some day..Grace talks about that episode in her book; "The Longest Trek, My Tour of the Galaxy"...

Of course I'd rub her ears anyday..! :)
