Most impresive ddillard. VBG this site is one of the nicest I have ever seen and it has the nicest people. No wonder it seems like 40% of us are refugees from Star Trek.com.

I hate stereotyping too. I rememeber their was a commercial (I don't remember what for) with these nice looking ladies who were on blind dates with guys they considered nerds. How did they get rid of them? They turned the TV to Star Trek and snuck out when the guys were distracted. I agree that people invent some nasty preconceptions about almost eveything. Trekkers come from all over the world and have different interest levels. I guess if the guys in the commercial ignored them for a sports broadcast (another stereotype) that would be acceptable.

I hate choosing but I voted for The Wrath of Khan. The movie is a classic with one of the most dynamic villains in history. Alice Krige's Borg Queen was good but she can't match Ricardo's performance. You can actually feel and see Khan's obsession. Plus let's not forget It was STWOK that really started the film franchise which led to Star Trek coming back to TV.

Harry should have received at least a field promotion to Jr. Lieutenant. Once he got back to the Alpha quadrant his rank would probably have been confirmed. I think Nog's promotion in DS9 was a cobat promotion. Star Fleet was loosing so many junior officers several spots opened up. Of course he deserved one anyway.

I voted for Picard but Paramount and Berman had better not do it.. I was steaming mad when they killed Kirk off.

Black 97 probe.

[ I nulled mine because I simply don't like reality TV period. They seem like a way for tv writers to get out of writing scripts. Of course a lot of the recent scripts have not been that good either[/GLOW]. -
I voted for the Two Towers. The second movie had fewer slow periods than TFOTR.
-
I like James Bond. I think the best one's were Goldeneye, Goldfinger and The Spy who Loved ME. My favorite bond is Sean Connery with Pierce Bronsnan a close second.
-
I like STWOK. My runner up is STMP. Khan is very imposing in that picture and the STMP poster has a quality of awe that is lacking in the more recent movie posters IMO.

I like all 5 series but my favorite is TNG and DS9 is a close second. My favorite movie is STTWOK followed by STTUDC. STTMP was not that bad too me.. I think you have to be in a certain mood (and have the time) to watch it. I'm sorry but IMO STV is a clear example of bad trek. God in the middle of the Milky Way Galaxy?

I liked the Lost Years also and Sarek is one of my favorites. I have not read the Eugenics wars books yet but they are on my list. Has anyone ever read the old TOS novel The Vulcan Academy murders and it's sequel the IDIC epidemic they are vwery good

Spock in TWOK. His fighting to hold on long enough to speak to Kirk was profound. His funeral with the bagpipes made it sadder.

Ow that smarts!

It still looks good IMO. Compared to a certain movie Star (cough) Fi(cough) it looks great.
-
Yeah you are right. -
Poor Harry never got a break either way. I'm sure he was sort of envious of Paris's relationship with Be'Lanna.
-
I think the ending of Endgame was a bit rushed too. They did need to go into the crews life after their return. They could have at least gave them a celebration.
-
There was no real point to fury IMO. As for Kes leaving... I hope the doorknob hit's her on the way out.

Robert Duncan Mcneil was in the Masters of The Universe movie in 1987. -
I agree. I enjoy a serious military aspect for a while. I just hope they don't drag it out longer than necessary.
UPN - Good or bad for ENT?
in Star Trek: Enterprise
Posted
I think UPN sucks. I only wanted so I could see Enterprise. The other shows are crappy and are not on long enough for me to notice them. They did have some decent shows but like the other moronic (WB and Fox) they cancel quality shows before they can gain a following. The only smart move the sci-fi channel has made in a while is the renewal of SG:SG1. But they canceled that out by cancelling Farscape.
