Uniform wise I prefer Blackman's more militaristic designs to Theiss. The first two seasons do indeed look dated in the FX department imo.

I don't think he would accept a promotion. I can't see him back on earth behind a desk. Kirk tole him if he wanted to make a differance the captain's chair is where it's at. Ole Captain Sulu never accepted a promotion either I don't think.

I liked the original Enterprise version, not the sped up country sounding version that was inflicted on us later.

I thought the MACO organization actually became part of Star Fleet.
-
I chose the first airing and other for the last two options.
I was ambivalent about Enterprise from the start mainly because I thought that Kirk's vessel was the first Star Fleet vessel named Enterprise and that had been stated more than once. The thought of doing a prequel would have been better received by me if the tech was a little less advanced meaning no transporters, Phase pistols or photon torpedoes and the Romulans certainly should not have had a cloaking device. Enterprise had a lot of potential but I think it could have been executed a bit better. I don't hate the show but it's not my favorite either.

I really love the remastered episodes and I've been recording them on DVD when I can. They kind of make TOS match with the movie franchise and later series FX wise to a certain degree.

I started to post a very negative reply on Berman but as I st down and think about it he did do some good for Trek. He steered the franchise through the end of TNG and the creation of DS9. I think things got bad and his ego got worse after Voyager and he simply didn't care (canon wise) once Enterprise aired. It's a mixed bag but I'm not going to say that I'm sad to see him leave.

I liked the program but I felt a sense of finalty somewhat. They said in the end the series isn't over but has earned a rest but I have a feeling this may be it. Of course any future trek series will probably not need those old props and costumes.

I own all of the films. I'm in the process of replacing all of my movie videos with DVDs.

Besides a few plotholes I like STIII. I hate ST V with a passion! Everything from the story to the SFX were bad.

I manage to pop up from time to time.

If the channel was still Tech TV I would be happy but I really hate G4.

His actual rank in TOS was either Lt. Commander or Commander.

Strangely enough reading a old james Blish adaptation of the first episodes of the series got me hooked.

Season 1 is pretty good imo but the 4th season has merit also.

I think Trip dying wasn't necessary and the ENT cast was reduced to holgrams for the STNG characters to interact with is unforgivable. :)

I enjoyed Star Wars ROTS and King Kong a lot. Walk the line was good too.

Wow. I remember the later boxes I think but the the first one and the badges is before my time.

The inner light has always been a tear jerker too me.

I think canon is important to an extent because without a general framework most of the overall themes and plotlines would be a disorganized jumble. As for ENT going against canon? I personally think it did on several occasions but the other Trek series did too to some extent.

This ship is very well crafted and is a spitting image of the old move Enterprise. It also includes ship sounds and phrases from the movie. Oh and it has light up warp and impulse engines also. my only gripe is that I wish it was a bit larger, I have a old playmated original Enterprise that is slightly bulkier but was a bit less expensive.
