  1. Looks something like a 5 year old would make out of a cardboard box.

I agree with Mrs P., the TNG ones were better. I can't imagine why she'd want one of those chairs! :Hmmm...::rolleyes:  :Hmmm...:

Weeeell... I'd like to sit in it... and hug it and cuddle it and think about Jean-Luc... :superhappy::laugh: But I'd have no money for the chair anyway, so they'd better not even start producing it or I will be majorly frustrated. -.- *lol*

Well they aren't in production, but remember that the one from the set and a few others HAVE been sold pulicly.

  2. Okay so we have 10 for buying it, 9 for maybe, then 13 for joining the fleet and 9 more for maybe for that! Looking great so far!

A side note: It may well behoove us to form both Federation and Klingon fleets. I think this trend of favoring Starfleet is fairly universal...which means that as far as the Klingon to Starfleet ratio is concerned, there's a much higher probability of a Klingon player being able to move up in rank and power than a Federation ship...if only because there's 10 federation ships for every 1 Klingon ship (ie. more to shoot at and gain experience from).

    Thoughts?

  3. He'll never get it back...but maybe he'll poop a Delta Flyer into exsistence for you or something...if you're super-duper nice to him.

    Edit: Ack! POP, not poop!

  4. It's nice to hear something from Pegg about Star Trek, but I wasn't worried in the slightest to begin with as I find him to be an excellent actor. :superhappy:

I was actually really excited when I heard he'd been casted.

  5. I wonder if there's a rank above captain... *attempts*

    EDIT:

I basically changed the things I can't change by looking something up (the ones about how many conventions you've been to, etc.) and I got this:

    trekkiness: 173

    The Trekkie Test

    ranks me as a(n) Captain

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    What does it mean?

You are a Trekkie, through and through! You know the series, the movies, the literature, the science, and you are proud of it! You are probably saving up to buy your own starship! You are part of a vast community of Trekkies, and you're loving it! Congratulations!

Does anyon else have a problem with the 'Which rank is Benjamin Sisko' question? There's two answers for canon ST.

  6. Me 3

But they do look like communicators already. Nobody would ever copy that design because you speak into where the earpiece would be and everyone around you could hear the rest of the conversation. Obviously cell phones are to some extent based on the design and the flip-out types have been around for years and years. Compare the communicator below to the Motorola Startac - this is the one I had about 6 years ago (or one in the same series - it's too old to remember):

    Communicator

    Motorola Startac

Even the name was obviously based on Trek.

The only way to make it look exactly like a communicator would be to get rid of the keypad and screen. A communicator would have even less functions than a regular cell phone of today which can be used normally, to send text messages, access the internet, take pictures, record video, take voice memos, play games, schedule, etc., etc. Plus they look way cooler than the communicator ever did.

By thwe way, this old flip phone is in the same product line as the RAZR and KRZR. They're all a continuation of each other, according to Motorola. I think it's supposed to be (by far) the longest-running cell phone product line.

  7. *cough*I own seasons 1 of TOS, 1-5 of TNG, 1-7 of DS9, 1-7 of VOY, 1 of ENT, Trekkies, the Q and Borg fan collections, all of the movies, many of the games, several books, the Technical manuals, many models/toys/posters, and have seen every episode multiple times and scored a 162 on the Trekkiness test*cough*

    :superhappy:

  9. This is going right in front of my big screen TV. I don't care how much it costs. I'm getting it!
I hear ya! I want one as well.

Maybe I could be like that guy [that we never see] in DS9 that likes to get his picture taken behind famous people's desks...except I'd actually collect their chairs!

I'd have the TOS captain's chair, the TNG captain's if I could manage it, all of the other captain's chairs, the chairs from the observation lounges and Kirk's briefing room, OH OH the chairs that magically disappear underneath the the panels on the TNG bridge (those are my favorite and took me [hehe] years to notice), those little 5-square-inch bench chairs that flank the 3 in the middle of the TNG bridge, Odo's chairs, the insectoid chairs from ENT, Deanna's therapy chairs, the ready room chairs, and the backless chairs from Quark's bar! More to come after that's taken care of... :hand:
