  1. Who thinks Archer is gullible? I mean he actually believed the alien was there involuntarily!!! He also didn't think about why someone would put a pod near gravimetric distortions!!! I mean you could figure that out without having to ask him or bring him on the ship.....

I don't, he acts more like a Human that is going into deep space for the first time. I think he is playing the role perfectly.

I agree completely, Klingonmike. He is a very believeable character, with a mixture of insight and error, but overall he is growing as a leader. I find him credible in the context of being the leader of the first humans out in deep space.

I also agree with you Klingonmike and mjham.

  2. DIAMONDS !

    Two reasons:

    1. It's my birthstone

    2. Diamonds are a girl's best friend

My second favorite stones are rubies and garnets. I love the deep rich red. Garnets in a gold setting - very pretty. Garnet and Gold is also my alma mater's colors. :dude:

  3. I would have to say the Enterprise Era. I like the idea of being an explorer and being the first Humans out there. Exploring strange new worlds, and seeking out new life and new civilizations. Being the first to boldly go where no one has gone before.

I love the uniforms. Those jumpsuits are extremely functional and surprisingly flattering on everyone.

Then there's the Captain, the Chief Engineer, the Armory Officer, and toss in a few MACOs. Oh, and the Helmsman ain't bad either. I certainly wouldn't mind being cooped up in a small space vessel with any of these boys. I would gladly serve under the command of Captain Jonathan Archer. Where do I sign?

  4. I had to vote for Archer. Throughout the entire series thus far he has demonstrated skills in getting the best from his people. Not only that, but he has also demonstrated the ability to read the situation and to "read" the aliens to know what is needed to be done in order to get what he wants from them. He knows the right buttons to push and when. That shows great people smarts in my book.

  5. Personally I don't think ENT will get cancelled. But if it did, I would be majorly P.O.ed and in mourning for a long while. TPTB would get many, many nasty letters from me. I love ENT! It must not end!

For the sake of this topic...

    If ENTERPRISE were cancelled...

    1. How long do you think it'd be before a 6th series? 3-4 years

    2. Would there be a 6th series? If ENT were cancelled, I wouldn't care.

    3. Would Trek get a reboot, as in new continuity? I hope not.

    4. Would it be the end of Trek as we know it? Most likely.

    5. Would you get the DVD season sets? Definitely

  6. Hopefully T'Pol will join Starfleet after this is all said and done.  I think the Starfleet uniform she was wearing in "Twilight" was just a foreshadowing of things to be (although...I like her having different costumes than the rest of the cast).

    /obvious bias

T'Pol can't join Starfleet. Spock is the first Vulcan to join Starfleet.

I'll have to get back to you on my choice for the poll.

For me it is both the show (storylines) and the characters that keep me watching. The interactions and the developing relationships between the characters is growing and improving this season. My favorite characters are Jon Archer and Trip Tucker. Billingsly is great as Phlox. Malcolm and T'Pol are improving in my standings. I wish they would do more with Hoshi and Travis. Hoshi's character could be a great asset to the crew if they had her do more (I'm thinking along the lined of Uhura in the films) and had her grow up some. Travis is an uncut gem--there is much potential for his character if they would just use him.

  7. If ever men will go  and explore space I want to be represented by a person like Jon Archer. He is able to go beyond his preconceptions like in

"Detained " when he was able to differ between the Cabal and "normal" Sulban people,

"The Shipment" when he decided to trust a Xindi,

He had also hard moral decisions to make like in:

"Extinction" when he didn't destroy the virus, the last remaining of a gone civilization

"Dear Doctor" when he had to make the choice if to help he predominate race

"Fight or flight" doing what T'Pol recommended leaving the dead crew alone or informing their people so that they could be burried.

I agree with StarDreamer. Also Jon Archer stated that he would not loose his humanity by going against what makes him human. (I'm parapharasing because I can't remember the exact quote or the ep)

  8. The first time I took it I got:

    LEMR: Entrepreneur

New planets, new markets, new opportunities. The Entrepreneur follows the profits and lets no one get in the way. Loud and flamboyant, the Entrepreneur often succeeds by sheer will power.

    The second time:

    LGMT: General

Got a planet where the populace is getting out of hand? Give the General some troops and some disintegration weapons, and things will quiet down fast. The General is all about action and technology, might and right.

I guess these fit. I do tend to accomplish things by sheer will power. Someone give me a phase cannon and some photon torpedoes, please! I could really take care of some traffic problems around here...

  9. If Trip is from Florida then it would be Key Lime Pie, now if he was from Georgia then it would be Pecan Pie.

Hey, I'm from Alabama and two of my favorite foods are Pecan Pie and Key Lime Pie. Others include gumbo, etoufee, fried catfish, fried gulf shrimp, fried flounder...
