  1. Reality shows are dumb. Who cares if a person eats some deer nuts than chugs down a shake of blended bugs.

And survior is dumb. Its been redone so many times with the same plot everytime. Surive to get money and do some dumb imunity challange that is either runing through the woods to get a key or put some puzzle together. than they go and vote each other out untill one person is left well I think its dumb

How many episodes have you seen?

It sounds like not many, Survivor has so much more than that. Looking forward to tonight!!!

  2. I personally would not like to see many 'Horror' type episodes. I'm not a big fan of mixing genres.

Last nights episode and the Vulcan episode you mentioned are about as much horror as I think they should have.

  3. ra
The bashers are causing the problems, my opinion of ALL ENT DIS-contuntity issues within its self-are the fault of the crybabies always whining for change.

How can TPTB craft a seamless saga when they have to keep stopping and retooling things every other episode?

I wish B&B would stop allowing them-selves to be pressured into making so many changes & come hell of high water, stick to one program.

I hope you retract your personal attack on posters on this board before a moderator takes action against you.

There is no need for this hostile attitude.

I would not consider what Alterego said as a personal attack as no names have been mentioned, hence it can't be personal.

Alterego is only speaking the truth which many of us agree with.

in your opinon, remember there is no such truth to a flame, only irrational hatred.

Just like your irrational hatered of Enterprise.

  5. Yes there will absolutly be a big astroid hitting the earth, they have hit in the past they will hit again. They are responsble for the end of the dinosuars and next one will probably wipe out humanity or at least send us back to the stone age.

Earth has always been a target.

  6. I literally have hundreds of dollars worth of Star Trek collectables and memorablia from Autographs and Models to Clothing and action figures.

I have a couple of original scripts from DS9 that were given to me by an actor who appeared on the show and signed books by George Takei and Armin Shimerman.

  7. I think Enterprise shows a perfect representaion of Humans and Vulcans interacting together for the first time. The Vulcans have always been condesending to Humans, treating Humans as if they were children.

Alot of people refer to Mr.Spock as the best example of Vulcan, well he's not, he's half human therefore we can't judge other Vulcans by using him as the template.

  8. CJLP is exactly right on this. T'Pol is playing the role of a Vulcan perfectly! A Vulcan that is the first to spend an extended amount of time with humans. Most Vulcans of the time look down their noses at Humans and T'Pol at first was like the others but now after 3 years she has learned how honorable a kind humans can be and since she is a science officer why not explore the whole human emotion thing, its all new to her.

And don't forget, Vulcans DO have emotions they just know how to restrain them, but imagine being with emotional people for 3 years, even deeply held emotions may start to come out.

T'Pol is right up there with the other great Vulcans like Spock and Tuvok. Its ashame you can't see that.

  9. My wife wants to visit Europe, and I've been reluctant to say "Sure, I'll take some leave and go" because I am not sure exactly how Europeans are going to act towards Americans, especially one who is in the US Military (And though it would pain me so, I would probably only wear my uniform on the plane to and from there)

My cousin is living in France right now and he says the people there are very friendly, then again he is French Canadian.

Most of the smaller French villages are nice and the people mostly friendly, now Paris is an arm pit, I hate that town. The people are rude (especially when they discover your American) and I thought the city was just plain dirty. I recommend the smaller villages, a more pleasent expierence.

  10. I got really stoned at Janet Reno's( former U.S. Attourny General) house in Miami. Her foster daughter worked with me at the theatre I was working at and from time to time she would throw a party for us, since Ms. Reno was usually up in Washington.

Who would have thought you could have a great time at the Attourny Generals house?

  11. Well the bad thing is that ENT doen't develop the character traits of some good actors while really screwing around with Star Trek canon... There is no continuity with this series and TOS... Can you name one? trek was never about ratings so why now???? We did fine when we developed the characters, explored humanity, and space. Why not now? Can't we just get back to what Gene wanted us to do? Every show has a theme. TOs and TNG explored humanity to a point... Ent is hollow as it doesn't explore anything... The whole 3rd season is about revenge. What type of theme is that? The Whole season, It is aparent who we are dealing with the Xindi. It tells about ecverthing except where the weapon is. They are shrouded in mystery while bein revealed out in the open. That is a paradox in itself. TNG introduced the Borg at first naming them revealing little. they developed them very subtley finding destroyed colonies here and there. That came out great! But no we reveal everything about the Xindi and then find we have a mystery that's just stupid! I mean a sixth grade english teacher could come up with better character development than that. You don't see Travis Mayweather developed! Bu you see even the smallest charcter developed in TOS and TNG. Wesley he almost destroyed the ship! So are you going to do anything about a helmsman that's saving your butt all the time? Nothing! What about Hoshi Sato? No character development! They all seem to have no personalities!!!

Why change the good? I'd rather watch VOY!

Enterprise is everything Gene Roddenberry wanted and I'm positive he would have been very proud of this show. They have not screwed with any of the Star Trek canon in my opinion. The characters are developing nicely and the reason they have put off exploring this season is because of the Bashers that complained the first two seasons that there was no action, now that there is action they complain the show should be about exploring.

The bashers will complain no matter what is done, but its just a waste of breath, the show will continue for 4 more seasons and I look forward to the bashers shutting up probaly around the start of season 7 since they will relize they failed in their useless mission.

  12. But they're no holding their own series continuity.... Their episodes don't flow with each other..... It's too broken... There's no sense of connection tot he future Starfleet.... It's not what origanlly what they said it was going to be.... I know things change but the themes of a show shouldn't.... I mean we're selling out to sex.... I mean T'pol shouldn't be kissing... She should be using her fingertips....

The continuity of Enterprise in intact, I see a great flow as the story progresses. Star Trek has always used sex in all its shows since TOS. This is the beginning of Starfleet and I see it growing into what it will be one day.

This show is just as good as any other Star Trek show and it boggles my mind that some people want so bad to hate it they won't even give it a chance. They could show the most perfect episode ever made and the bashers will still hate it because they just hate the whole concept of Pre-TOS Star Trek.

  13. I voted I don't mind but it annoys me, people have the right to there opinions no matter how wrong they are. What gets me is why do they watch a show they openly annouce they don't like? If I don't like a show i don't watch it or get into conversations about it. They claim they are Star Trek fans when in reality they may only like TNG or DS9 and they put down the others.Thats not a Star Trek fan, they may be fans of TNG or DS9 but not true Star Trek fans. I consider myself a Star Trek fan because I enjoy every series and film that comes out. To me they are all equal in entertainment value, and remember, it is made to entertain people, its fiction not real life.

I guess we'll have to put up with the bashers for the next 4 seasons, it may be annoying but this is the land of free speech.

  14. The idea for the Xindi attack came from 9/11. the writers wanted to have the show have something in common with curerent events. next season we may see Earth launch an attack on someone, and it might not be a popular idea. like alot of shows, the Enterprise writers will use current events as a baseline for a story. how many people remember the pizza guy who was forced to rob a bank with a bomb around his neck? if you watched Law and Order: Criminal Intent last night, you probably got reminded of it. the writers WILL draw from these events for inspiration. and I personnally can relate to the crew of the Enterprise fighting the Xindi. Maybe the rest of you who watch the current events on the news don't neccissarily get the same connection that I do.

I read that the Xindi & 9-11 similarities were purely coincidental, possibly subconsciously done without realising. As for the Xindi being comparred to the 9-11 terrorists, I ask, why? They're trying to defend themselves. Also, I've a feeling that the Xindi may join forces with Enterprise against the Sphere Builders.

In the minds of the terrorist they think they are fighting to protect themselves from the evil satan empire (U.S.)

There is definatly a direct corralation between 9/11 and the Xindi attack. As its been mentioned before, Star Trek has always taken issues of the day and turned it into a storyline for the shows. Now a days the Xindi represent the terrorist as the Klingons use to represent the Russians and the Romulins represented the Chinese back in the TOS days.
